Dyne
Well, it looks like YouTube is in hot water...again. Though this time, it's from outside of the US that the heat is coming from. Check this out; YouTube Lawsuit Article.
lazygecko
I thought it was allright to upload that kind of material and then just remove it per request from the author/copyright holder.
MrBogus
I was hoping for a blurb about China suing over copyright infringement, but sadly I was denied my daily dose of irony.

Thin Crust
I wish that people would quit whining about stupid things like copyright infringement. Except for illegal music of course. But that raises another question: If downloading copyrighted music for free is illegal, then why can we listen to a music video on youtube or some amv of it. That’s how I listen to music that I don’t own.
zircon
* Copyright is important and people SHOULD protect their rights. * Downloading copyrighted music for free is not necessary illegal. Some artists do allow for it. * Many music videos on YouTube are not legitimate. * Others on YouTube ARE legitimate and are uploaded through the record company * AMVs w/ music that have not obtained the proper sync/master use licenses for the sound recordings + compositions are technically infringing on copyright, so no it's not OK.
