hseiken Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 1.) Rip off chiptune. 2.) Slap drums on it. 3.) Get Nelly Furtado's vocals on it. Don't believe me? Just listen! http://hseiken.mynoisebleeds.com/%5BNelly%20Furtado%5D%20-%20Say%20It%20Right%20(HSeikaland%20Edition).mp3 Quote
The Joker Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Hot Sheet, man! One things though, it needs a clap/snare combo, instead of just the snare. You do that, & it'll totally sound like tMibalands. Quote
hseiken Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Actually, I'd need to insult the artist of the original chiptune on national radio, then deny I did anything wrong...oh, and also make a ringtone using the chiptune... Did I forget anything? Have I pissed anyone off yet? Quote

Malcos Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Oh Timbaland, how thou hath fallen from grace...He used to make great beats in the past, but I think that Aaliyah's death really messed with his head. Quote

neminem Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Yeah... it's always made me sad how he actually did produce a really great work of hip-pop, out of a chiptune remix of a song from the .mod community! Under normal circumstances, that would be absolutely, phenomenally awesome! But then he had to ruin it by being a douche. Unlike him, you're not trying to claim that you made all the music (though it would still probably be a good idea to say whose music it is - it's one of the unspoken rules of mashup culture everywhere). You need extra bass, though, too, if you want to be like Timbaland. Quote
