I saw it already. Absolutely amazing. Everything that defined the 60's was jammed into this movie and glorified.

Favorite part was when Strawberry Fields Forever was played.

Huge fan of Julie Taymor for one reason: Titus. It's probably my favorite Shakespeare film, has a badass soundtrack, and is directed with absolute conviction but also extreme deviance and, I'd argue, genius.

I gotta say that I'm all about modernized, super produced arrangements of classic rock/pop songs. Beatles tunes are especially perfect for this. The way they're written leaves them open to so many kinds of interpretation. I get excited just thinking about it.

I liked the "Hey Jude" part of the movie... I got a little misty eyed... but that movie is made of epic. They should have had an intermission in the middle, just like in the old movies. I got the soundtrack to it. Yaay!

supposedly taymor lost final cut of the film....which might explain why it felt a little disjointed at times.

definitely got chills during "strawberry fields" and "because." its amazing how they could use something like 30 songs from the Beatles' catalogue and i still feel shorted.
