  1. Now I'm hoping for a Casino Night Zone level. It probably won't happen, though.
  2. I wonder what songs he'll end up playing -- the standard Animal Crossing songs or K.K.-ified tunes from other Nintendo games?
  3. A bit off the wall, but.. I'd want to try and remix/rearrange a song from Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen (SNES) called "Wall of Defense" (track 11 from the SPC archive at Zophar) to make it sound like the title theme for a spaghetti western film, complete with the sound of horse hooves striking the ground in rhythmic fashion. But this will likely never happen, considering I don't have the time, talent, or software / hardware to pull off such a remix.
  4. I agree with everything zircon has said here, especially the part about the music. Some of the tunes used early on in the game didn't impress me (a few annoyed me), but those were the only ones and, luckily, songs only used in certain early scenes. I was fortunate to pick up the game in a used game store (around $20 I believe) before it became so rare and in demand. I played Suikoden I after playing Suikoden II and, because of that, Suikoden I was a pretty big letdown. It is still a decent game, plus it was nice to play the game simply for the character histories and other connections prevalent in Suikoden II. But in my opinion it doesn't even come close to Suikoden II. If you have the money to spare, go for it. Hell, you may be able to buy low, play it, and make a small profit by selling it back. Depends on if the demand for it is still strong, I guess. But since I buy all of my games to keep, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on it.
  5. To this point, is there any reason why one should invest in more than two nunchuck attachments? I don't know of any game that uses more than two. My friend is wanting to know if he should invest in more or not, and I'm curious to know as well. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. I'm pretty sure that is, indeed, SSH. I have the mp3 of that particular track floating around here somewhere.
  7. I have little to say on the controversy itself that hasn't already been said, but I'll be damned if this song by Tempest isn't catchy. It's been stuck in my head all day. I hope Tempest gets his due from all this exposure, one way or another.
  8. I live near the bottom of the 'E' in the state of METH, closer to where the Arch dot should be... ... and with Alaska traveling through Canada and Hawaii flying in to join the continental party, I shouldn't be pointing out the placement of certain dots on this map.
  9. VGMusic was the first video game music website I visited, as well. I was also on dial-up and stuck to downloading MIDIs for faster access to some of my favorite video game tunes. Good ol' Wingroove and folder filled with video game goodness helped pass the time on some cold winter nights. I still visit every day to see what's new. Keep up the good work!
  10. Nope, anything DK related is Nintendo's, including DKC. Anything created by Rareware associated with Donkey Kong or Starfox became the property of Nintendo, even if Rare moved elsewhere. So characters like K. Rool and Krystal are totally viable for SSBB, and I comletely expect to see them... If that's the case, Gangplank Galleon would be awesome both in the stage design sense and the musical sense. If K. Rool is in it as a character, that'd be great. Otherwise they could integrate him into the background like what they did with Kraid on the Brinstar Depths level in SSB:M.
  11. I hope so, you know what they say "The more the merrier." Any Belmont would be cool with me, but has any body thought of new area's to go to beside Belmont's throne room. I would like to see more "special" stages like the battlefield and Final Destination. Off the top of my head, these were all the stage ideas (albeit not very good) I had for Brawl: -- (assuming the Belmont character will be included) the town design in Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. It's multi-level, which is standard Smash design, and can change from day to night -- night-time bringing zombies that do small amounts of damage (like the ReDeads, goombas, etc in Melee) and day-time bringing something beneficial (like a Castlevania-related item spawn or something). Music would also change depending on day/night. -- Duck Hunt stage, with two sets of crosshairs, controlled by AI, hovering around the level shooting ducks and clay pidgeons in the background. Players can also be damaged if they are in the line of sight. The dog pops up over the player's damage meter and laughs whenever a player gets shot. -- Dr. Mario stage. Even if Dr. Mario himself is eliminated from Brawl as a character, he can still be utilized this way. Pills can drop and form the stage platforms, with certain pill combinations causing the platforms to disappear. (I didn't think this one deserved more thought, as I'm not sure how it could ever work AND be a fair stage to play.) I guess Donkey Kong Country stages are out of the question? Is that Rare territory? I'm not sure.
  12. I like the idea. Sorta like what they did with Peach in SSB:M (having a Daisy costume), but more diverse and more sensical. You mentioned the victory music, but what do you think the stage design and stage music will be for the Belmont clan, if they are included as one character? Speaking of, does anyone think Daisy will get her own character in Brawl?
  13. Both are absolutely great songs and I would love to see them redone by the music team onboard with SSB:B, but for me it all depends on the level design. I wouldn't mind seeing the town theme from Simon's Quest if the level was in town. The level could turn from day to night and vice versa, with night-time bringing zombies to damage players and day-time bringing... garlic? I don't know. But if that level design ever came to pass, I'd like to see the music change appropriately, too. However, I wouldn't argue one bit if Bloody Tears or Vampire Killer made the cut. Love those songs.
  14. Only if he kicks ass and takes names as a supermove. I've honestly been thinking about the music more than any new characters. I wonder what nostalgic bit of goodness they will draw from the Kid Icarus soundtrack? What music will be played in the MGS level (if there is one)?
  15. I think it was Dream Mix TV World Fighters, unless there's another one I'm unfamiliar with. Someone mentioned it a few pages ago.
