  1. That actually sounds awesome.

    Has anyone seen Dokuro-Chan?

I mostly just want to confirm that I'm not ritualistically insane and that someone has actually created something like it. :(

Hahaha. What got me was the epic faces they would sometimes make.

  2. I don't know about you guys but I'm not watching anything this season. Nothing has really caught my eye. I sort of forgot about the new FMA, I guess since it isn't really new I didn't get pumped about it.

I started watching Guin Saga yesterday. I had no idea wtf it was about so I wiki'd it, and when I found out that the music was being done by Nobuo Uematsu, I was all over it.

  3. There was also a time a while back when I went into a convenience store and the cash register made a sound just like the sound effect for Sonic grabbing a ring.

When my friend used to work at a gas station by his house, he told me that's what the register sounded like.

  4. I think it changes the frame rate or something. I first heard about the command 3 years ago as it was instructed to players with high ping. They were told to change to "rate 10000" instead of the default setting. I never really noticed much difference though. I might just be completely talking out of my ass.

    SPY SAPPIN' MAH LOGIC!!

    From a Natural Selection wiki:

"The rate and cl_rate command controls the amount of data the server sends to the client. The rate variable itself is bound to all Half-Life based Steam games and set via a Windows registry entry, thus changing the value in the userconfig.cfg or config.cfg file will not change this value. The cl_rate variable specifies the server how many bytes per second to send the client. It a general misconception that this should be set to 20000, which is the maximum setting. Most servers connected to your client will not be configured to send your client information 20000 bytes per second. A reasonable setting for this for the rate is between 12000-15000 (approximately 14 kilobytes per second). The rate value should however not be set below 10000. The rate and cl_rate values should be the same."

  5. Bump with some news :o

    Dragon Ball Kai

    ---------------------------------

    From Wikipedia:

"In February 2009, Toei announced that they would begin rebroadcasting Dragon Ball Z as part of the series' 20th anniversary celebrations. The series premiered on April 5, 2009, under the name Dragon Ball Kai, with the episodes remastered for HDTV, featuring updated opening and ending sequences, and a rerecording of the vocal tracks by the original cast.[38][39] They were also re-edited to more closely follow the manga, resulting in a faster moving story, and damaged frames removed.[40] As such, it is a "new" series created from the original Dragon Ball Z footage."

    And the new OP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnvupMV9su4

I'm pretty excited about this. The first episode has already been subbed, and it's pretty spiffy so far.

  6. I realise I'm chiming this quite late into the thread, but I just wanted to ask.

What is it people think is so cool about the Tales of the Abyss battle system.

I loved Tales of Phantasia on the SNES, that battle system really blew my mind and it felt really good to play.

I was all excited about Tales of the Abyss since it has some of my favourite Japanese voice actors in it (yer, I got the undub). But the Battle system just seemed very quick and messy to me. Nothing satisfying about it.

Tales has consistently disappointed me compared with the SNES version tbh. Music, Gameplay, Story (Altho the wittyness in Phantasia may or may not have something to do with Dejap's translation)

I was tempted RAAAAAAGE on you, but I decided not to. You put your standards WAY too damn high if you were "consistently disappointed."
