  1. Can I still get in on this? I would like to remix DW1 Chateau Ladutorm (Tantegal Castle theme). I'll try to get a WIP out by the 20th at least.
  2. It's on it's way. Will probably be on the front page within the next two weeks.
  3. I decided to do a screaming vocal rock song for PRC 145 as a bonus mix. My friend Thomatorr drew some artwork and made a video out of it. I really like the way it turned out (the song and the video).
  4. Does that mean you can't compete in this one, Bundeslang? (although you can submit a bonus mix)
  5. Almost didn't get it in on time. Damn FL Studio slow rendering. I had to restart at 6-point hermite curve cause 64 bit sync takes over 2 hours. It's voting time. Good luck everyone!
  6. So maybe another extension if we don't have more entries before the deadline? I might have trouble getting mine finished on time.
  7. I'm also a pianist, so I'm always interested in hearing piano arrangements on this site. Quite interesting arrangement. I listened to this piece, as well as a couple of songs off your page. Your style reminds me a bit of Uematsu's himself, but with a more tender approach. I like the use of arpeggiated 9th chords and various chord changes. It reminds me a bit of Debussy. I was reading your influences on your website. I was very disappointed that Rachmaninov wasn't listed. Although I'm not really suprised, as his music often has an intensity that I haven't heard from your recordings yet. I would highly recommend listening to his work, especially his first three piano concertos (especially number 2 in C minor, and number 3 in D minor); as well as his preludes (C sharp minor is a good one). As for practice, I highly recommend Chopin and Liszt. I've been working on a couple of Chopin's etudes (i.e. the Revolutionary in C minor and Winterwind in A minor) and Liszt's "La Campanella", which is absurdly difficult for only being about 4 minutes long. While I'm not complaining about your technique, your style is not as emotional as some I've heard; it never hurts to try and expand and learn what you can from fellow musicians. Of course, I do feel a lot of nuances are missing that you'd get from playing a live instrument instead of a keyboard. However, overall your playing is very smooth. You obviously show a lot of talent as an arranger. I might be interested in a possible collab on a future project with you.
  8. I'll probably be on around 12 AM pacific time tonight (in about 21 hours). I'll be starting a new character on hardcore. Anyone interested in joining post here or PM me.
  9. Since when is there more than one "Prophecy" on OCR? The Prophecy I know doesn't sample games like this. Actually this song is a complete rip from the game and no less; There were only a couple of songs in the project I didn't recognize. shameful edit: just realized this was an april fool's day joke. Why isn't the thread deleted? I wouldn't want my name to be stuck to any tracks I didn't make.
  10. I'm suprised no one really commented on the guitars since they're not "live". I think the vocals distract from it pretty well. Well at least I didn't use Slayer this time. Any live guitarists/bassists and/or drummers out there that want to help feel free to message me. As for EQ, this was my first serious attempt in years at mixing this genre. I rather liked the way it turned out, but I agree, it's far from perfect. I was thinking of putting some chorus effect on the vocals as well.
  11. Anybody that wants to play hardcore ladder after the reset PM me. I'll probably start off with a trap assassin. I don't care which server; I'll probably play US East.
  12. This was a bonus mix for PRC 145 second song down on my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/11450301 Guitars and drums are sequenced. Vocals would have been okay if I was warmed up better and hadn't nearly lost my voice as a result of warming up. roflz
  13. Bonus mix time: ya rly Or for permanent streaming visit my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/11450301
  14. Extension is fine with me. I was disappointed by this week's turnout. Besides it'll give me time to finish my bonus mix. =) Might want to decide ASAP incase certain remixers are waiting til the last minute to submit. Also might want to ask Gario if he wants to spend any more time on his since he already submitted. Edit: Prophecy, you might want to keep working on yours a bit more also, if Bundeslang grants that extension. I hope you get over your ear infection soon and can finish this. Sorry when I posted before Gario was the only one with a song posted.
  15. Expand it. Most of my remixes were made with a 20 second or less source. If you don't believe me listen to my very own BEER mix of this thing on overlooked remix. I put that together in like an hour or less, if I remember correctly. As terrible as it was I still managed to expand the source to two minutes. I don't really like remixing the super long songs because it gives you less room to write your own melodies and be yourself. It should be really easy. I think this is a great catchy source tune.
  16. You can't mean you still remember this one: http://olremix.org/remixes/72 It's like a 5 year old song I did for BEER. That was such a great compo.
  17. Had no problem uploading it. Only took a couple of minutes. Thanks for the heads up though.
  18. Feel free to use any of my music from this site; from http://www.animeremix.org/remixer/13/ or from http://remix.thasauce.net/mixer/26/ Prophecy is actually a good friend of mine. I'm glad that you guys have enjoyed his music during all this time.
  19. I can hear some FF5, megaman, and epic battle music in this theme. This song definitely has tons of potential. If I can find time I might attempt something. collab anyone?
  20. That's a great example, thanks. I only have to worry now whether the arrangement and production quality will be good enough.
  21. Here are some samples of my work if you want an idea of what I'm capable of. hip hop (my most recent work): spent about a week on it; it's not the kind of stuff I usually produce though. http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC143 It's the fourth song on the page (streaming and download links included). I'm still debating whether I should submit it to ocremix or try and smooth it out a bit more first (I've already spent so much time mixing everything). Also very recent: http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC142 I think it's the second song on the page, although definitely not my best work; I only spent about half a day working on it. There's more of my music here: http://www.animeremix.org/remixer/13/ The Ceres remix is really old but the first time I made vocals the main focus of a song. The Noir remix is a bit more up-to-date. Of course for my really old music I've done just check my ocremix artist profile. I've also done orchestral work and rock, but don't have current samples of my work. I'm working on rebuilding my sample libraries to get back into it again. Anyway, this song sounds like it could be a 80's or 90's dance song or maybe a pop song (I'd probably go more with the pop style). I'm not really used to working with music that sounds so happy, but maybe I can make it work. I'd probably like to produce vocals and may get a friend to help me with it.
  22. Hey, who's doing the vocals on this mix? Is that your voice? It's pretty smooth. Sucks about the internet kiosks. Although it's probably not up to the level of some of the entries this round (I won't mention names), but you certainly wouldn't get last place either. I would have liked to see a longer mix with livelier vocals. Nonetheless, nice work. You ever thought about doing a collab, maybe on a future PRC? I think the two of us could combine our styles pretty well. I see from your profile that you use Fruity Loops. I hope you got version 8. Tell me what you think of my rap voice also either from the voting or after the voting is over. Let me know, kthx. =)
  23. It's more in the swearing because of excessive anger style. Anyway, the remix I'm asking about is my PRC 143 entry.
  24. After 2 hours of rendering the song from my laptop in FL Studio I've finally finished it. I'd like to thank Prophecy for supplying me with the crowd samples on this mix. And special thanks to Tiny Jon for taking time out of his busy schedule to lend me his voice. It's so nice to work with a legend.
