  1. Wat. That guy's got some interestingly shaped cohones...
  2. So I went ahead and purchased this set and, I must say, it does live up to my standards for how useful a preset set should be. I don't know that the emulations are really that dutiful, and many are not, but they are still very useable and, unlike so many sets I hear, sound like stuff I would actually hear in professional productions and you better believe I'm going to be using it in some of mine. I'd say the actual percentage of useable, useful content versus the rest is even higher than Zircon's Zebra set (quite a feat, that). So, yeah, pick this sumbitch up and support someone who knows how to make useful synth content! $10 you could do a lot worse.
  3. That's a really tall order for me right now and that could set me back an entire week or more. I probably need to sometime this year, but I'm very much not prepared to restart my entire computer from scratch right now with work as it is. Literally everything else is working correctly and I don't think its worth it for me to junk the whole thing for this. I don't mean to not listen to your advice, I just could not make something like that work right now.
  4. Well, right now I've pretty much completely uninstalled EWCC from my computer and will need to start over, so I'm going to try that and see how far I can get. Right now, I'm largely concluding that CCleaner ate the .dlls and I thought that simply getting them from Google would fix it. I didn't know at the time that Qtcore4.dll was a widely used .dll that was still unique to the software running it. Having finally found stuff online about entry points, everyone seems to conclude that. @Kanthos: I know what happened - CCleaner ate the files and I foolishly deleted the system restore points. Usually I've been able to just replace .dll files before so I let this one go thinking it was a simple fix and I got schooled big time. This kinda shit always seems to happen to me whether I'm careful or not and aside from just being bad at software in general, I can't figure out how that happens. As a result, I'm always weary to update software or install new things because there's like a 40% chance something will fuck up or an 80% chance it will be more complicated than it needs to be. My best hope with this topic is that, once solved, others will be able to find solution once they encounter the same issue.
  5. I've used Malwarebytes in the past and I agree it kicks ass, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a virus issue because AVG is still working. Best I can come up with is I just used the wrong .dll files (as in the Qtcore4.dll from something else) and I think I can't avoid a full un-install any longer. I'm just going to trash it and try it again hopefully.
  6. Upgrading to Fl Studio 10 does not work, it just gives me the same fucking message over and over. Did I really just brick $1200 worth of software? I just can't believe I could fuck everything up this bad just to clean some things out and fixing it is impossible.
  7. Ok, well downloading the FL Studio Reg file doesn't work either. ***damn, what a pain in the ass this is. Certainly I can't be the only person on Earth who's ever had this problem, but there is almost no helpful content on it anywhere I look. All my hopes rest on Image-Line and Sounds-online customer service, and we probably know how that will go.
  8. No, I haven't had time to look at it yet, I need to research how to go about fixing that and/or wait for my stuff to come in for tech support.
  9. Yeah its looking more and more like a registry thing. Dammit. Oh well, thats still useful all the same and I'm fairly sure it can be fixed.
  10. I was always planning to upgrade to 10, I just wasn't prepared to do it now. I need a lot of personal preparation because this stuff is always problematic on my end for one reason or another. This kind of scenario is actually middle-grade for what I'm used to.
  11. The guitars in MOR really are pretty bad, I will admit, but it has some awesome drums and even some good bass in there. Pianos isn't too bad, it's works fine on my system and mine is at least 1/4th as good as yours, Dan. Omnisphere is a lot more intensive.
  12. Sorry to bump again, but this one was rather important. I didn't realize the old Kunaki link was still on there and prominently. It has been fixed now to go here: http://doperecords.bandcamp.com/album/espers. Thanks to MetalMan for pointing that out for me!
  13. Yeah, I'm probably going to have to do that. I'm not refusing it, I'm just reluctant to because I hate this shit and I always mess something up and it's 10x harder than it needs to be. I greatly appreciate your help and I'll try to find something reasonable to pay back your generosity with.
  14. **sus, I'm getting tired of your arrogant attitude, Neblix. It was fine the way it was until a week ago and I'm just trying to find easier solutions before I spend 3-7 days updating and trying and possibly failing to get stuff back where it needs to be.
  15. I've seen they've changed a lot of things in FL10 and I'm aspie as all get out. I'm so used to working in FL9 with the piano roll and the boxy pattern sequencer that I'm very reluctant to see whats new and gone in 10. It's not a logical reason, I greatly admit, but its intimidating all the same.
  16. I'm actually using an outdated version of FL Studio (Version 9, by choice), and I really don't want to mess with re-installing that too. I just can't believe how ridiculous this is. It was fine last week, both programs are fine by themselves, but neither will work together.
  17. Oh wow, so I just decided to put Qtcore4.dll in the Fl Studio folder and then it started asking for Qtgui4.dll, which I got then it asked for QtNetwork4.dll, which I got... then I got this message. "The procedure entry point ?ref@qBasicAtomicInt@@QAE_NXZ could not be located in dynamic link library QtCore4.dll" ...what the fuck is that?
  18. I don't have a system restore before the problem happened. Literally everything else works fine except for that. I also un-installed PLAY and installed the new 3.0+ version and its still wrong. It works in standalone mode, so I don't think its actually PLAY that's the problem, I think its FL Studio, but without being able to make a new topic in there, I can't ask to find out.
  19. Well, the QtCore4.dll is still in System32 as well. The problem is it won't tell me where its missing from or give me any opportunity to fix it.
  20. Yes to both. I did download and use CCleaner, and I imagine that's what changed things, but I still don't understand why it's not recognizing QtCore4.dll when its still there and has not been moved.
  21. Ok, so I just registered with them... why can't I make a new topic?
  22. Image Line was going to be my next step, I just hate a lot of the music support and tickets and shit. That stuff is often more complicated for me to handle than I want it to be, but I'll take your suggestion here and definitely try it. I just want to see what I can get here first.
  23. At some point in the last week, I've found I can no longer run any of the EastWest instruments through FL Studio. Now it tells me that "QtCore4.dll" is missing... but it's not, it's right there where it always was. They work in standalone mode, but FL Studio will not load them for that reason. Also, for a long time now I've had an issue with Stormdrum 2. About 1/4 of the instruments only load instruments that play in the right speaker only. Going left drowns them out, and there are no left-panned instruments for the same. Anyone familiar with these issues? I'm talking with their customer service but, as usual, they aren't that helpful.
  24. That's still going to be quite an expensive purchase to get. Kontakt 5 is $400.00, Da Capo is $400. With shipping and taxes, it's going to be close to $900. For that, the EastWest Composers collection gives you a Symphony Orchestra, dedicated Pianos, dedicated Choir and Wordbuilder, a sweep of instruments with Goliath, ethnic libraries, rock libraries (though I seem to be the only one that likes Ministry of Rock), the awesomeness that is Stormdrum 2, etc. and it comes on its own external terabyte. Granted, Kontakt is already quite the requirement and PLAY is problematic, I'm just bringing some balance to the decision. I still personally like EW more than most libraries I've heard, but its somewhat controversial for a reason.
  25. Fair enough, though a quick edit for clarification may be recommended.
