If anyone is interested to use my sketch for the cover, just drop me an email and I'll send you the 300 dpi version In case you wonder why I don't post the cleaned-up sketch here... well, my brain had a such glitches from time to time (I will still work on it after this album is out because I want to color it. I will post it when I'm done.) [edit] Another glitch on my side. My email is dennyisk at gmail dot com. -

Thanks for that To be realistic, I won't be able to finish it by Wednesday (tomorrow). Still, I will work on it as far as I can. I have no experience in designing the whole CD cover. That is, I can finish the image, but I don't what other things to add to make it a CD cover. Is it possible that someone else use the image to make a CD cover? Otherwise, I think we can use it as an inner cover/insert page or something -

BGC: Thanks Another Soundscape: Thanks for commenting; I never think of it that way. A new point of view is always good JaDE ARaN HaRuNo: Yes, I'd like to color it In case I misinterpret you; I take it that I can keep the text as "Get up, bLiNd. The Galaxy awaits!"? I think I can add an energy tank or two in the background to link up with the album. -

I like quite a number of bLiNd's remixes, so I drew this for this project (I didn't know about the "Energy Tank" title when sketching, though): I'm thinking of adding a text that says "Get up, bLiNd. The Galaxy awaits!" It's still a WIP. I think I can clean it up to a decent lineart by Friday; but I don't think I'll have time to color it properly (I work slow). -

A n00b might be joining I've been working on a Contra boss; I'm just not sure if my time and stamina allow me to finish it. -
It's the BGM from NES game called Spelunker. (There is a recent OLRemix project on the game if you are interested.)

Condolences/Prayers/Best Wishes to Reuben Kee's Family
dish replied to djpretzel's topic in Announcements
I know Reuben through his music. "Ascension to Cosmo Canyon" is one of my all-time favourite music. In this way Reuben has touched my life. I really appreciate that. I am sorry for your loss. - Denny Iskandar -
I do not know Reuben personally myself; but I like quite a number of his remixes, especially Ascension to Cosmo Canyon. Being in Singapore, I have heard about the news of 5 Singaporean drowning in the Cambodia boat race. Somehow, finding out that one of them is Mr Kee, an OCR community member and a musician whose music I listen to regularly, adds much more impact to the news to me personally. Rest in Peace, Reuben Kee.

I just received my pin today The sender's name is apparently "Jill Goldin". Anyone has any idea who she is? Anyway, back of envelope writing is "VGDJ ^_^" and that's good enough for me. I'm wearing the pin to work tomorrow AND keeping the envelope. Will toy with the idea to try starting to think about maybe considering to take photos of me with the pin someday this week. Thanks, pixiecon Hmm... pixiecon sounds like Pokemon...

Thanks 'd be honoured to draw something for VGDJ Thanks to q-pa too, heheh. Many kudos to zircon for beating Frank Klepacki This post is just a list of short sentences ;; On a side note, maybe there should be some script on the website which allows people to affect the outcome of the highly exciting RRR Like the number of clicks for each number somehow affect the outcome of the random number generator or something... Heh

Hehehe... I was wondering when this will happen Still quite a surprise when it does happen, though. Anyway, take a look at what I drew sometime in October after watching the Remixer Fuel video. Of special interest is second panel from bottom, near lower-right corner. http://hamthology.ponju.com/DIsk/public/layout_page3_with_template.jpg

Uhm.. this is probably too late Still, hope you are geting better, oh Mighty zircon of Many Faces Missed the show last weekend. Out of randomness, you might be interested to read about the haze in Singapore-Malaysia-Southern Thailand: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/haze/. There is a photo gallery too. So yeah, these days we in Singapore are breathing in smoke. That, in addition to no VGDJ, made my life less complete Oh please, help us, VGDJ!! (This post is getting weird, so I'll stop)

ZOMGWHOA!!! XD Nice to know someone from Singapore is studying musical stuff. Ask him what he thinks about the new Singapore Idol Your sig makes me dizzy, btw. Obviously the pronunciation problem demands a solution: replace Doug's wrong pronunciation with zircon's SASKATCHEWANALBLUM!!! .o/ shuxiang says he doesn't know who it is!!! DD: What a blasphemy!!! It's Hady Mirza and a little Googling return this piano show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAO-yKr-n6Q Is Tunak Tunak Tun a pop song in the US? Or is zircon/pixie somehow a fan of Indian pop song?

Oh man... that's SO much faster than quoting... danke. Hmm... And I thought I finally found what Notepad really is for And thanks, Atma Weapon

Aww... I didn't intend it that way. I was going for the "when-I-grow-up-I-want-to-be-like-zircon" way I don't even know how to use an image as my sig BGC, I like your Bionic Electronica and Metroid Hunter Anthem

Hopefully this still gets to page 200 A little about what zircon says about Sixto Sounds' Twin Blood. The original tune is from Double Dragon II; specifically the tune played during the fight against the final boss (when he can no longer make himself invisible). The tune our good hosts heard in The Next Level was the main theme of Double Dragon (I think it was from the first game, but I'm not too sure). To summarize, the 2 tunes are different; though probably our elemental host (I think it's not a coincidence that he knew that tune from Elemental Master ) detect some degree of similarity between them. And great silly stinger! Made me laugh

Welcome to new judges, Big Giant Circles and pixietricks!

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised Congrats, Pixie and BGC. I'm a little concerned about Pixie's time schedule (you know, with VGDJ and all), but I guess that's none of my business. Anyway, cheese -
Nice pilot episode of Flow Basket there, Mr Aversa Sounds a little awkward at first because we have 2 hosts and suddenly it's a segment with only one of you. Oh, I thought Flow Basket sound kind of like Fruit Basket (for which pixie has a mix, I believe). Anyway, just a thought. Oh, speaking about "anyway", does anyone else find... uhm.. coughzirconisoverusingitcough? Aaannnd this episode suggests that pixie is converting her co-host into a pronounciation nazi >_> So, to conclude, great job Bear and Jillybean PS: Jillybean is an anagram of Billyjean *doh* XD

I think this remix is very good. It brought tears to my eyes even on second listening (on the same day). Probably part of the reason is I'm missing home and this remix fills me with memories of home. To be critical, I don't think the concurrent vocals work as well as it could have. Anyway, the overall feel of the remix--to me--is darkish/fantasy/gothic/somewhat tragic atmosphere. A really great work

Just want to say that (zircon's) idea about tutorial episodes on remixing basics sounds interesting I'd like to try re-arranging VG music myself. Other than that, your episodes just get better as time elapses. And I think some smell of geekiness is also highly correlated to the better-ness
