  1. Haha, McVaffe... I didn't mean in general; I meant the OurStage audience, which is very "indie." I should have made that clear, sorry.
  2. Ha - you weren't kidding, Aninymouse! I just got your order. Malcos just came out with an album for free download, check that out too! So Andy, is it cool to say what the big feature release is going to be? Or is that all hush hush? :3
  3. Ah, Arrowned is right... Gonna be thunderstorms Sunday. Not sure how that would work out with a BBQ, but let's check the forecast again on Saturday.
  4. Sam's no monster, no, but he and Longe both said nothing to stop Ari... so it's no better than had they run the script themselves.
  5. Dhsu, Platonist: Ari did the OurStage cheating on Longebane and Sam's behalf. Sam told me himself.
  6. Douuuug, I can't host people this year! I'm packing everything up for my big interstate move Tuesday, and also Cat doesn't want anyone here. So hosting "a couple people" isn't going to be enough if we're gonna do the sleepover thing. Seems like the Sunday BBQ won't work out, unless there are only a couple people wanting to attend.
  7. Doug posted that his obligations for Saturday were freed, though, so he will be around the whole time as far as I know. And as I already stated, I'm not sure if I'll be able to host anyone for sleepoverness because I'm moving on Tuesday and need to pack and box all my belongings.
  8. Andy's not even giving you guys the full story, probably out of modesty... Apparently Progressive Grooves is even going to make his track a big, featured release. ^-^
  9. Douuuuug, did you ask Nick yet about the sleepover thing?
  10. Wow, we are owning this competition! Congrats, Danny. Let's go for three months, now...
  11. The #1 track right now ("I'll Sneak Away") is SOOOOOO autotuned. Bleh! And SGX, I wouldn't be surprised if what you're saying is true. However, I don't think that many OCR people are actually voting right now. Last month wore everyone out. XD
  12. I always rated "Come Over" well! I don't think it's that people are racist, but many African American genres just don't appeal to a broad audience. Same with some of the harder metal stuff. EDIT: appeal, not appear...
  13. Woooo, my album is now available on iTunes! You can even purchase individual tracks there. (Keep in mind that the quality is lower than if you were to buy the physical, or the digital download on CD Baby, though.)
  14. Oh, "These Old Shoes" by Reggie Miles is pretty awesome too. He has that rustic, mountain-man blues thing going on.
  15. I like Maegan Wright's song, "Kinda Like It." Overall, though, I think there are a lot of weaker songs in the finals this month.
  16. Hmmm, point taken. I guess we're in for a ride!
  17. So this is what happens after you've won the grand prize... Andy and I have been sitting at the very bottom for the last hour. Looks like everyone is deliberately voting us down.
  18. July10 actually made it to the finals with another song, which is better than "Cibola" at least. ^-^
  19. Break out the champagne, guys: we all made it! Audix won Techno/Club/Dance, sgx won Electronic, and zircon and I won New Age/World. Just 24 hours left for judging in the Music Finals channel!
  20. How many people here are going to have cars for the meetup? It would be great to get a sense seating space, because I'd like to do the Sunday BBQ if possible... and I'm sure others would, too!
  21. Yeah, I have to agree with OA... "Cibola" sounds like keyboard auto-pilot to me, and the samples are poor. But July10 does seem nice! He fanned me and posted a sweet message.
  22. No, I was referring to "Cibola." ^_~
  23. Thanks, Fishy. That really means a lot to me - especially what you said about the depth of the storytelling. It has really been my goal to write lyric centric pieces that aren't fluffy like what you hear in most mainstream music. Another thing that's great to see is that everyone seems to have different favorite tracks! As for your comment on Shadows, Fishy, you're in luck! This is an all-electronic version Andy and I did originally. The vocals were recorded late at night on a bad mic, so you may find them not up to par with the Origins version. However, we're contemplating polishing it up for an official remix on Andy's next album. http://soundtempest.net/Shadows.mp3
