...so glad I'm not Jill right now http://www.vgdj.net/album I already own and wear an OCR babydoll tee. Perhaps babydoll where you come from means something different? I dunno. In any case, I hope Dave will continue to carry them!
-
Welllll, we did just release a little video, but I guess it doesn't count as a full out show. Still, I'm sure there will be more of those in the future, although we will be sticking primarily to audio format.
-
OMG VIDEO! ^
-
Will there be babydolls? If so, small or medium.
-
Bweehehehe... You just wait and see what we have in store. ^-^

I think we shall have a special little surprise tomorrow night/Friday to tide you over...

Yeah, I heard your call and I was like, "Huhhh? That doesn't solve the mystery..." ^_~

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues

Bah, it's a catchy name! I think the target group here is more or less "in-the-know" already. It shouldn't cause too much confusion. -
OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues

QFE. Can't scroll past them now because they're right there in the middle. I think if they were moved back to the top, that would allow more space for the site projects links. As is, everything there looks a little crowded. (And having the ads in the middle of the remix writeups is kinda distracting, too.) Is there any reason why they have to be there? Does it bring in more money? Everything else looks awesome, as to be expected. The tabs are very functional. -
Xyco: You have to either download the latest version of Quicktime, or try Real Player and/or VLC. Sorry 'bout that!
-
XD Yes, VGDJ was released on Sunday/Monday midnight as usual, in case some of you didn't notice!
-
Ja, we know. That's why we named the show "Day of the Videocast." Anywho, for those people receiving the compressor error message: which version did you download? Low, normal, or high res? I wanna see if there is a problem with any one of those files specifically. All of them work for me, but hey, you never know. I noticed that Abadoss posted in our blog about that error message, but whatever it was, he seems to have fixed it? Can you tell the others what you did? Doug: I have no idea why it would ask you for an mp4 codec... the movies are MOV. EDIT: Woops, that comment wasn't from Abadoss. My bad. Anyway, if you are getting the error message, that probably means you need to upgrade to Quicktime 7! But it should play in other players as well, like VLC etc.

Haha, you thought that was us, Chris? I WISH we were that awesome... But now both the green *and* purple tentacles have registered on OCR, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of them. ^-^

VGDJ: EPISODE #053 "DAY OF THE VIDEOCAST" IS NOW AVAILABLE AT VGDJ.NET!!! Yes, the wait is finally up! I do apologize for how long it took to crank this thing out. There were many problems during the reencoding process, as I'm sure some of you have read. But this being our first ever videocast, we wanted to give you the best quality we could. The bulk of the vid is footage from our panel at Otakon, but there are other goodies as well! That being said, we have three different resolutions for you to choose from: low (70 MB), normal (130 MB), and high (400 MB). Take yer pick, and enjooooyyyy... ^-^ P.S. Very special thanks to Jiggles McPuff for recording the panel, and Kroze for all his help with the reencoding!
-
Sorry, dudes. Tomorrow. TOMORROW, I PROMISE! It'll be worth the wait. We want this thing to be as high quality as we can get it, for a reasonable file size.
-
Kindly refrain from distributing any of the messed up versions! Nooooo, because we've put a ridiculous amount of time and effort into this thing, and it has some content (i.e. better live performance sound, and the trivia & prizes) that didn't make it to Episode 052... Plus an introduction by me, and voicemails/pictures/stinger at the end. Besides, just having the visual aspect alone is enough to make this a full out show. ^-^ So here's the scoop! After three days of trying to work with MPEG-4, we have realized that it is an awful format when it comes to internet interaction. So we're going to reencode the video to .mov, which is a format that iTunes should recognize in our feed. Unfortunately, the movie won't be playable on your iPod unless you convert it yourself. But that's a small price to pay, considering most of our listeners simply grab the show off the site or on iTunes. If all goes well, it should be out sometime today! Sorry about the wait. ;_;
-
There's more than just audio problems. We've taken down the videos because a ton of technical things are going wrong with the .mp4 encoding. Sorry guys, you'll just have to sit tight. Please be patient. Kroze and I have been at this thing for the last 48 hours, literally.

Anywho, yeah, I think it's good to update the host and mini-host information, but considering Rayza made the first post, it might be confusing for newcomers not to see his and Aurora's names in there. Perhaps start another heading called "Past Hosts" and explain who started it, how Wingless stood in for five shows, etc etc. (Yeah yeah, Fusion, more episode 3 love! ) Also, if you're not gonna capitalize your name, don't do it for mine either. It's not in caps on the boards, and I'm OCD like that. ^-^

I see no reason to restart this thread, unless Dave wills it. But certainly a first post update would be in order. What do you think, Andy?
-
Huh? We released a new show last week, and will be releasing another one this week either later tonight or tomorrow. They come out on Mondays.
-
Yeah - that couldn't be helped. We wanted to keep in all the reactions from the audience in there during the medley to preserve the live feel, you know? The videocast WILL have better audio for that however, so don't worry. Indeed. Much better audio on the videocast to come! The reason the sound quality was so bad is that we had to use a wireless mic for the performances, which wasn't hooked up to the audio mixer. So all the music you heard was echoing back to us from the very farthest wall in the room, causing it to sound weird and flat. The acoustics in there were pretty bad, unfortunately. EDIT: Hmmm, I guess zircon could use his mod powers to update the first post by Rayza, sure. That might not be a bad idea anyway, considering so much has changed since VGDJ first came to be. Howeverrrrrr... We *do* have little vote link buttons on every blog post at www.vgdj.net , as well as a link on the side of the page. (And yeah, CE, the album link is right there, too. C'mon, you coulda figured that one out. )
-
Aw, thanks dude! Stay tuned for this week's Otakon videocast episode! ^-^
-
Hehe, I think you heard wrong. I cosplayed as Nausicaa, last year. Didn't cosplay at all this year. Sowwwwyyyyy... ^_~ Welcome, Claude!

There was no background music during the panel- just the original/remix example medley and the live performances. Is that what you're referring to? In any case, there's nothing we could do about that, but episode 053 will feature better audio from the event because we're releasing it as a videocast!
