  1. I've located some pics of my collection I took around 2005. Oddly enough, it ignores the thread topic completely since I didn't have any PS3 / 360 / Wii games at this point. If I ever put my stuff out again I'll take new pics of it, but for now this is all I have - and sorry about the small pic sizes...

Wow.. if your house is burned down you'll be like: NO MY GAMES!!! and you wont even care about the furniture haha!

  2. and i keep reading that people are not interested in 3D because they don't want to wear silly glasses. is that an internet meme or something ? what's wrong with wearing glasses to improve your experience ? is that more silly than holding a controller ? have you ever looked at someone playing video games who looks cool while doing so ? i do not understand

I got Arkham Asylum with 3D glasses.. I thought the colors weren't close to the colors without them. It was blurry, annoying, and glimmering.

Also, a looot of people use glasses.. Getting a pair of glasses on a pair of glasses can get really annoying lol

  3. Mind control would be awesome. It would function as focus training on the highest level. Imagine how many who would think something randomly then the character does something you don't want him to. Because you can't control your own mind. Hahah. Would be fun to see random Youtube videos of that era of game nerds going nuts over this.

Anyway, 3D hmm.. I like the effect of 3D. I hope I am not forced to buy a new 3D tv just to be able to play the new games. That would suck.

I don't find it necessary. Developers should spend more time making great games than getting more advanced at this point I think.

I guess soon I'll be spamming forums saying: 3DTV is overrated! LOL!

  4. I have the PS3 version and it froze on me during the third stage with all of the trains going by. Completely locked down my PS3. I haven't tried the online play yet, so I don't know if there's a problem with it.

Well, if you connect to random online matches, it should be ok for awhile.. but if you have buddies with the game, there is maybe a 1-5% chance you'll be able to connect. And if you connect you should fall off a short time after lol

  5. So.. I got the PS3 version of the game.. and can't connect with any of my pals in neither campaign nor any other multiplayer feature.

I checked it out online.. and noticed this problem surfaced in late June.

Anyone here found news about a patch being made or ANY info that may show some kind of signal from the creators that it is being fixed?

This game was bought ONLY because of the multiplayer campaign mode on my part. This sucks. :)

    lol

  6. Bouncing between The Legendary Starfy and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia on the DS. Been genuinely curious about Starfy since seeing him in Brawl, and I'm not disappointed, even if the game is kind of easy for someone that's been gaming for as long as I have.

This Castlevania game though is annoying the crap out of me. I went on a Castlevania streak a while back (someone else also did too, I think he mentioned it in the Zero Punctuation thread), and I'm coming to the same conclusion. They really haven't innovated that much, and what they have changed in this iteration is just unwieldy and difficult to get the hang of.

I had a huge Castlevania marathon about a year ago.

Went through all of the DS titles and both PS2 titles before Symphony of the night. Had a blast.

I hope Lord of Shadows will be great. I can't wait for it! The only problem: Doesn't follow the Castle timeline. Could be good, could be bad.

  7. Now I'm playing Final Fantasy VII downloaded from the PSN store.

And I have to say, after years of being away from the game and playing tons of New Gen RPG's.. this game beats them all by far.

I've had my share of grudges against this title in the past.. But there's no denying the fact that it touches nerves few games does.

Great music, interesting and in-depth story, good characters.

    Amazing world.

  8. A lot of rich responses here.. Got me quite pumped. I've ordered it together with Darksiders, another gamble title on my part. But still... never know if a game is good/great until it's tested right?

    I hope both are great!

  9. Alright, I am a huge story fan.. Normally I don't want to touch story-less games or games based on pure game-play..

But this title has me on the edge of curiosity..

So I thought I'd ask if it's worth playing, of course most people think so, so I guess that question is a bit thin.

So, maybe this one is better: When you play the game, does the music and setting feel so great and the fighting feel so awesome that you become mesmerized by it?

Keep in mind that Ninja Gaiden Sigma made me angry due to stupid dialog and ridiculous story scenes.

  10. Oh, will this work with a legit copy of Graces, then? I guess the translation will be compatible with homebrew. That'd be nice, because right now so much of the plot is completely lost on me.

Yeah, I read that the patch is installed to the homebrew channel.. Then the patch is somehow started when the game is booted and translates the whole game as playing? Very advanced but excellent! I love original discs, it will feel pretty official this way I think.

  11. If there is one thing I have to complain about the US PSN is that they have yet to port over the "Spear of Destiny" Super CD Package which is the prequel to Wolf3D but also some extra addon. Sure I can get it on Steam but strangely enough it warrants being on the huge screen in all of it's hideously pixelated glory.

    also

killing me so long ago. I got past all those undead mutants, the ubermutant, the Iron Knights, and the fucking robot guards only to run out of ammo...

I will say I am amazed that the European PSN store is missing out on the Rockin Android release of the

    ; what the fuck..?

European people are always treated like retarded kids.. If you played the PAL games from the PSX and PS2 era, you'd be scared. Like Devil may cry, Dante runs like he's taking a stroll in the park. Hits like he hasn't got a muscle in his body, it's horrendous, the color red is almost pink. I remember playing the PAL version of Castlevania Curse of Darkness, I was so pist, I thought the game sucked, because I used 10 min to run across the hallways. Then I got the NTSC version.. and I finished the game 12 hours faster (AFTER getting tons of weapons, something I didn't do with the PAL version).

  12. I had a friend whose PSX version of Phantasia froze up every time he would get to the part where you're on the flying horse. I think it was Absolute Zero's version, so I've avoided it.

That said, I've been waiting for Phantasian Production's translation for YEARS. I've actually already imported a copy of ToP for the PSX, around the same time they released their demo patch. I think my only complaint from what I've seen so far is that they make the Tech Ring available from the beginning, while they could just make it an option in controls by default, thus saving you the accessory slot.

But yeah, they're taking their sweet time about it. I understand there's a need for completion and no one wants a sloppy job done, but...

I've finished Phantasia with Absolute Zero's translation, no problems at all.. So I wouldn't be afraid of it freezing up. And yeah, the Phantasian Production's version has a lot of candy, like replay value (10x exp etc), better in-game fonts. But I seriously doubt it'll ever come out.
