  1. This is the song that got me started to listening to this site's remixes. It sounded so epic, hearing my first actually GOOD video game remix, and from CHRONO TRIGGER. This song includes massively hypnotizing beats and techno-ey strings with a familiar melody (that had me guessing what part of chrono trigger it was). Can't really describe it except epic....for me anyways.
  2. That little robotic female voice is cool, like the whole song was ripped from the game (which I haven't played) revamped with tons of effects. My brother put this on a cd once, and he doesn't like as many of these songs as I do, so uh, that means you should, um, DOWNLOAD IT, yeah... If you like techno.
  3. This is my favorite mix from DJP. Very clean sounding along with the guitar(s) that sticks out like a sore thumb...a very good sore thumb. Actually I have no idea the definition of clean when it comes to remixes, but oh well. More on topic, this is my favorite up there with the Lunar BlueLament mix, with "Love hurts" coming in third. I don't dislike that one, very much the opposite, but it doesn't set as good of a mood as this and the lunar one does. The bassline is very cool, probably my favorite bassline ever (I also heard it in one of Ragnarok Online's songs. Not the exact same, but the same style). The original song is arranged in a very good way here. In fact I don't care much for the original even after listening to this. I usually do. Can't really say much more besides DOWNLOAD IT.
  4. Hm, strangely enough, I was thinking about how somebody should remix this recently. I almost wish the beginning was longer. I love this game (even if the story isn't that exciting, but hey, neither is Super Mario Bros's.) and if I had remixing skills I would do this whole soundtrack...well...mostly all of it. After the first melody is over, the next one is kinda just "there" throughout the rest. Maybe I need to listen to it again. Being the most kinda slow orchestratable (mmm, orchestratable) track from the game, it doesn't have the same jumpy feel as all the others, most likely making those who have played the game once, forgetting about the ending music, expect the opposite. Great way of making the original sound better!
  5. More SM RPG mixes! WHOOOO! Oh, yeah, this one is an oldy to me. This game has the most memorably music, and this mix adds to that while giving a professionally done arrangement. It's too bad this track is only played during a brief part of the game. Actually now that I think of it, a lot of these tracks are played at one specific point in the game. All the more reason to remix more SM RPG WHOOOO!! If I had some remixing skills, I'd do this game's soundtrack in a heartbeat.
  6. I first heard this and thought it was pretty good. It turned out it was really just the melody I like (I had never heard the famous Top Gear track one before this). I heard other versions and they always brought me different feelings. One might be higher quality with a new feel to it. The original brought an even more video game feel than this one does (duh, it IS a video game). I actually haven't heard this version in a long time, so this is basically just an overview of how different versions of this track feel. This one is just a lower quality one that brings back the memories of a good theme. Having no "musical talent" and able to make a remix like this must take quite a lot of determination. Maybe I'm just comparing with my own talent, which is nada. Oh well, just felt this song needed some more reviews.
  7. HAHAHAHA, oh man, I couldn't face myself to beating DMC until Dante must Die mode. I stopped after I beat it the first time. My hands would break if I went that far. That game has got to have the best bosses ever created.
  8. This has got to be the most painful remix on the site. I love it!! I use this as a secret weapon to scare off the neighbors.
  9. Yep, this definitely seems one of those songs where you either hate it or love it. I happen to have loved it awhile ago, but I listened to it more than oft because I was also at a friend's house for like 3 weeks and he liked it. I also know people who hate it. Never met someone who thought it was just ok the first time. If you like garage bands, battle music, and final fantasy, you'll love it. If you hate garage bands, abhor any type of battle music because you hear it most of your playing time on an rpg, and don't like the final fantasy games, you'll hate it.
  10. Definitely well done. Most refer to this as being ambient, and it is in a way, but that piano and panflute have a pretty distinct melody. So I would say it is a mix of both. The drums seem to be the only element to ambience. With that said, I definitely like this style. The only way for someone to dislike this song is because they don't like the style used. I like it, so I'm stickin' to it! 10/10, it never gets old. I can listen to it over and over. Even someone who doesnt care for much of the mixes on this site liked it.
