  1. Thanks for all the great comments and feedback guys! Just thought i'd drop in to give a little info in case anyone cares This entire track was composed using Fruity Loops 3.5. It was the first track I ever composed with FL. All the samples/instruments you here are the ones that came with FL. It actually took me quite a few months to complete this track and it mainly had to do with re-engineering the way the track sounded. Im glad everyone liked it. I'm a big House fan, and I thought it would suit this tune well. It's not an easy tune to remix btw, I had to rearrange it a few times, and sorry to those who tested the first versions who liked that other part I took out. I actually was so pissed with it, i deleted the original mp3. I original was going to do a dance remix, sort of like mid 90s dance style, but i wanted vocals for that, which i do not have. hehe.
  2. I have to admit i wasnt too impressed with most remixes done by injury. Until this one. Wow she really has improved! NOTE 1:48. WOW you GO girl! I was also feeling the bass solo. The bass chosen rattled my speakers. Thats what i like. Ok i like 3:12 even though it may sound out of place a little. Shows remixing flavor. All in all, i like this track. and i think injury is getting better!
  3. I havnt heard this one yet, but i can assure you it will be amazing. Mazedude is genius. downloading now.
  4. This remix is off the hinges. I love it when that panflute jumps in there at 1:32. This piece sounds a little latin and jazzie. The drum beat is hip hop influenced, yet in a soft comfortating way. Throughout, you can hear the cello paving the way for the whole journey through this masterpiece. At 3:12 it winds down with the guitar and cello complimenting eachother. The only thing i would have liked to see was a few more scaled notes played on that last measure with the guitar. 'Pachelbel's Ganon', is one of djpretzel's best. mmm.. me thinks djpretzel is jazzie.
  5. This sounds like something Necros would compose.. great job!
  6. mazedude is a genius, and here's just another example why. nothing more to say. listen to this!
  7. thanks for the compliments "Despites the fact that some notes are not well pitched compared to the original version" That was on purpose
  8. so the strings were live? um, i dont know what people are saying but, THE STRINGS ARE THE BEST PART OF THIS REMIX! Im in love.
  9. I liked the skill used with the orchastral simulation. Very nicely done. About the drums. There is nothing wrong with the drums. its the reverb, echo, whatever effects that is causing them not to mix with the rest of the tune. It does sound like someone playing live drums, and less recorded in a studio. Is that a problem? For such a respectable remix, I dont think so. Oh and about the unrealistic arrangement of the drums, I think it would have been fine if it sounded less live. We all know techno beats are unrealistic .
  10. I think this is an excellent techno remix. I do remember this song from the game also. Guardian legend was just one of the rare gems that I loved so much. Broderbund.. who knew? Anyway, as for adding an acoustic element, I could definitely see where an acoustic piano could fit where a part of the remix repeated, replacing that synth.(or layered on it). But overall I like this tune. And I love guardian legend. SO much props to munky!! -neostorm
  11. OMG this song is off the HOOK! I was totally feeling the 70's r&b/hiphop vibe to this. And I tell you I thought i'd never thought i'd hear such an impressive remix to that marble zone tune. At 1:38 and 3:38, I was reminded of that Michael Jackson song, "Smooth Criminal". (most noticably the 1st stage in the Genesis game "moonwalker". This song is so soft and beautiful, yet has the flavor to keep my body moving. (1:58 - beautiful) Download this song now, Yo!
  12. this is a slamming remix of the second stage in Castlevania: Adventure for Gameboy. The beat that McVaffe was just perfect!
  13. I just wanted to say that the style that Jose Acosta is commonly called "Freestyle". In the city where I live "NYC" this style was very common in the early late 80's and early 90's. If anyone can recall any of these groups, you'll know what I mean: TKA, Coro, Little Suzy, etc. Orch hits were used a lot in those days. This style is still very common in the Philipenes. Sometimes they will have freestyle night at a club/radio in NYC. Fun to dance to. Bottom line, anyone who remembers freestyle would appreciate this 'freestyle remix' of Ninja Gaiden.
