  1. I'm loving this remix, nice jazz with a hiphop beat. Good stuff. And i'd want to hear your stuff no matter what, Dale. you own.
  2. EDIT: I gave it a couple more spins. I've been spoiled with so many remixes of this popular track that they all start to sound the same to me. However, the second half of the remix DID have new interpretations and for that i was appreciative. I agree with everyone else that the ending was very well done and improvised. Let me just sum up by saying this remix has tremendous quality in terms of technical work (its not easy to do), but I felt some sounds were a little off key and it disturbed me. I thought about what those quarky off key notes mean to this remix... I guess i'm just a tad bit conservative cuz im sure its something new and innovating, but it hurts my musical soul. J:\Drive has really got something here though (especially that beat work at 3:37) and I can't wait to hear what cool INNOVATIVE stuff i'll hear next from him.
  3. To some all this up in one word I would have to say, SKILLS. And also, wow how a Korg X5 sounds so sweet. I love this piece. fantastic job
  4. 2 reasons why i like this remix a lot. One, it screams professionalism and two, the remixer's name is Goat. my only gripe is the uneasy transition at 3:44
  5. I really like the rythm used for this overdone tune. And thats one really good guitar. My only gripe is lack of enphasis on the bass, maybe its just me, but i felt like the bass was a bit low. Probably just me. I was also looking for more sustain on the piano. In either case, I think this is still a very likable vibe in total. For the record, i didn't think it was repeatative at all.
  6. Great stuff again by McVaffe. Here' we have a fusion going on. Trance and Freestyle. Yea, must be true about Long Islander's and their Freestyle loving. And then it breaks off into some Epic'ish moodness. and finally back to the freestyle goodness. I myself am a fan of this type of sound, especially for gaming. This remix got game remix written all over it. It's 80'ish rythm, fused with today's technology, and subtle strings and winds, makes this worth the download for any retro gamer. My only wish was for some ambiant sounds like rain&thunder, or windy forest in the background. Im hoping McVaffe will take this next step into the world of sound. :hint:
  7. While the majority of this piece I do like, the unique way of using the mountain theme, and mostly being the quality of the samples, I cant but cringe when i hear the 2 beats mixing incorrectly at 1:02. It almost makes my ears bleed. Either you make the entire remix at that off beat time signature, or you dont mix that house flava in their like that and think you can just get away with it. Well, i guess you did get away with it I really do like this tune, but being as that it pains me, i can't listen to it any longer. If i could just re-sequence that hi-hat loop...
  8. This is one of my favorites now too. For me, it all comes down to that low brass sample sounding so good. The choir is also another element that makes it sound professional. If you could, please give more detail on the choir samples. Very good job, guys.
  9. This remix is so hot, i love it love it love it. I like how they found the similarities with the game and the real xmas music. And they play so well, you almost think its not a game remix anymore, but a XMAS remix hehe But then thats the problem. Xmas remixs get less play time when the holiday season is gone. I wonder if it will be true for this medley. So far, I doubt it.
  10. I really like this one. Especially the way its arranged to be smooth and relaxing for this popular tune. I love the synths used, as usual from Disco. Its got some very good ear candy. on a side note, i always think im gunna download a disco-ish remix when i see it done by Disco Dan. - Great job Disco!
  11. I love the old time piano ending at the end. I was gunna do something like that, but i guess you analog beat me to it . very well executed. I have no complaints for this remix, i suggest any ocr's to download this puppy.
  12. I just listened to this song for almost 4 hours straight while playing daoc. If there ever was a Metroid the Movie, this is exactly how i'd imagine the soundtrack would be like. This is some really good stuff. Especially the samples. My only complaint is with the transition at 1:52.. didnt feel smoth to me. but maybe its just me. afterall, i did listen to it 4 hours straight.
  13. Holy smacksaqs! This is awesome here. Really smooth, and at the same time a little groovey. I love the String hits near the end, makes me feel it could have transitioned into a house remix from there My only complaint was an overuse of the guitar run/piano run. But everything is solid, especially the technique in arrangement. The ending was great. Good work, another one for the playlist
  14. I dont know what anyone else is complainin about, but i'll say this. DJP was right. I instantly was into this remix. This remix held my attention and screamed replay me, which i did a couple of times to my enjoyment. Good job, Ziwtra. KEEP EM COMING!
  15. I find it hard to comment on McVaffe's remix's because all i ever say is awesome! Just like now, this remix is awesome! I hated Yoshi, but I like this remix. Now im forced to liking something about Yoshi because of McVaffee.. damn you!
  16. Yea, about time someone submitted a remix for one of the best rpg's ever created. Good stuff, and brings A LOT of memories back listening to this. I felt like some more innovation could have been done, but its good sounding and quality instruments anyway. I like the percussion selection, gives a more medival feel to it. This tune was the first game remix i ever worked on (dont ask ). I love Wizardry!! Download this remix, and get some Wizardry lovin! good job Mark! keep em comin
  17. Ah this tune has a nice early 90's feel to it. You know i like this style. Its jazzy, its happy, its shake your groove thang to some Sonic CD music. I just love the synths used, especially the one at 0:56. Its so clear, and I like how you just pitch bend with it. I also like the synth bass. very deep. I didn't like the sax synth however. I felt a real sax would have complimented the piano better, but it still works anyway. we're bound by limitations sometimes anyway. I also didnt like the beat transition at 0:56 where the beat went to 4/4. It's still great to listen and is a great addition, but the beat timing change throws a dancer off. This is going to be another one on my playlist. It's what my friend would call "snazzy", which means jazzy, smooth, and soulful. Good stuff Gecko Yamori
  18. Wow guys, i appreciate all the great feedback. With all this good review im afraid my next submission wont be as good hehe. Im going to try though Sorry about the pan on the percussions. I was messing around with a stereo enhancer vst (without using headphones -- BAD mistake) and it sounded just fine on my stereo. the stereo enhancer kinda panned the percussions to the right a little. In either case, it still sounds good if you dont use headphones - I don't know exactly what song(s) i heard the wah-wah organ from, but throughout my years listening to old funk music, im sure thats where my inspiration came from. I'm glad you guys liked that, i was thinking some would think it was old fashioned. But I like it funky, baby... yea! Im glad it re-motivated you! That's why i love to do this. big thanks to djpretzel btw!
  19. This is what you call skillz. SKILLz to pay the BILLz.. damn this is good. reminds me of demo intro tunes, like stuff from purple motion, skaven, necros, etc.. Skills.. thats all i have to say about this remix.
  20. I dont remember the original music much at all, but this remix is great on its own. The atmospheric samples gives a "BT" style feel to it over all. I especially like at 3:40 how you went to Break Trance. Great job overall and good ear candy
  21. yea i first heard this in the WIP forum and was like i dont care how cookie cutter anyone says it is.. its addictive and enjoyable. good for my playlist. The original itself is catchy, and this trance remix justifies it well. Great job on the technical note also.
  22. omg this tune is soo phat. reminds me of the early 90's when I was in highschool(more like CUTTING highschool at the pizzaria playing Street Fighter 2 CE). i only wish there was more! hehe. this is high caliber stuff here folks.
  23. I'll say it again, if you havnt looked at page 4: http://www.sonicreality.com/sonicsynthmore.html now go look at page 4
  24. This is one of the remix's on this site that I got that I first thought, did Konami do this remix? But then i realized Beatdrop did it.
