    So Luiza and I have been working on the Terra track for the FF9 album. We're nearly done but are in need of a folk-style singer to give the song its heart. Please send me a PM if you are interested and have a sample of your folk-style singing. Ideally middle vibrato baritone or low tenor.

    We're looking to close this out in the very near future so the sooner the better.

    I used this soundfont when making Chromium Asphyxiation. The anvil is pretty standard, however you can tweak it with some verb and EQ and probably get it to wherever you want it. Otherwise go visit freesound.org and find something.

    Here's a tip to getting through hell quicker: go to the AH, and get new weapons and armor. Since you're a witch doctor set the filter for intelligence and vitality, and the buyout amount to 5k-10k I assure you will find awesome gear for your character for less than 5k at that level that will be an upgrade for anything you brought from nigthmare, and it will help you faceroll Hell. I pimped up my wizard for less than 20k and I'm facerolling act 2.

    If you really want to know the inner workings of your class or what specs are viable you should really visit those forums and read up a bit.

    Pretty much this. SirNuts gave me the same tip. Now I don't die as much by a factor of 10 billion.

    I jumped in suzu's game after he had frustrations with Rakanoth on Nightmare, and I think I felt the vibrations of the clunk of his jaw hitting the floor when we were able to take him down without suzu taking very much damage and me staying above 50% health the whole time.

    With barb I'm finding interesting tradeoffs between dw and 1h shield, especially whenever shield has vit str boosts. It's been somewhat difficult finding good 1h weaps that give stat boosts relevant to that class, but then again I only just started hell.

    So yeah Diablo 3 is pretty okay I guess, its definitely addictive. But I'm still looking forward to this more, honestly.

    Sir, you make clothes. You are not a pioneer, as people have made clothes before you have done so. Your brand is sustainable if you can sell stuff, that's not something really to write home about, and until I start seeing Target ripping off your style, you are not leading an evolution of any sort. And if you were to change my perception of luxury, you would need to make me think that rich people wear gelatonized dog snot as opposed to refined sheer cloth.

    Go gently shove your rear end hole onto the hot end of a steam engine.

    Edit: Brad, I talked to a lawyer friend at work. He basically said "In cases this these, deeper pockets win." They're not giving you enough information for you to make a basis claim, as anything short of expensive lawyers doing years of discovery into time and method of use of the names is needed to gather the evidence necessary for a case in court. So from the sound of it, unless you can get the trademark for "prophetik music" AND only use it in that exact phrasing from here on out, might just be safer to change your name as these guys, for all their unprofessional display and legal retardartion, likely have a lot more money at their disposal than you to take things to court.

    Should things go really REALLY badly, I agree that sullying their name is probably the only kind of satisfaction you can get out of this.

    I'm planning on doing a dramatic reading of these correspondence. This is just too fucking hilarious. Don't get me wrong, Brad. If this goes foul and you have a lawsuit on your hands, its gonna suck. But there is so much gold here.

    I think the first part of the mix really brings this down for a few reasons.

    - It's kind of dull, imo. There isn't a whole lot going on except for an almost note-for-note cover once the sax comes in. The spanish style guitar was good, but...

    - The fake acoustic guitar is obviously fake, and would sound 100x better played live.

    - I don't know if it's your eq or your reverb, but something is making it sound like most of the instruments are playing in the room next door.

    - That celeste/vibra/xylophone is very unemotional.

    - The string section in the transition is a good concept, but not well executed. Humanization would make it a thousand times better.

    The first 2 minutes or so is this way until the guitars come in.

    After that it's not too bad. I think it would actually do better for the song if you moved things around a bit, put the intro as the outro or blend it in the middle as a break from the rock to give listeners ears a chance to rest.

    Monobrow mentioned the kick drum, but I think it's fine. It's normal for the kick to be like that in this genre.

    There's a lot of good concepts, I just think by the time the track gets really good the listener is probably already bored and has hit the "next" button.

    Nailed the crits I would have had to T, actually.

    The Kick is also really boomy, you'd want to bring that away from the subs and into the low-ends a little bit more.

    When OCAD goes whitelist, is it still going to be vanilla gameplay or will we be able to opt out of vanilla and possibly have a seperate section or map just for non-vanilla or something?

    I dunno, I think I'm one of the few who don't really care for pure vanilla gameplay

    I'm sure I can free up a second port on my router for non-vanilla, however I may only be able to have a single dynamap running at one time. David should have started working on the whitelist already, I'll get in touch with him today.

    Well, I just logged on to OCAD to find that my entire town has been griefed. The whole town is in ruins, and all items/chests are gone.

    I'm going to start an autobackup system, and recommend to Dave and the maintainers to have BigBrother installed again if that's possible. Either that or we're going whitelist only, I'm getting fairly annoyed at the amount of griefing that's happened on the OCAD server as of late.

    Edit: scratch that, starting very shortly we ARE going whitelist only.

    I agree with Brandon. I personally don't mind waiting for the project to be finished as long as it's not put on hold because of two "busy people" who are "almost finished" but don't have the guts to pull an all-nighter and just get it over with.

    You make it sound so simple, as if you know what the lives of those "busy people" are like ;-)

    I've spoken with Luiza and Fishy about terra's progress already.

    Dave is going to set up some kind of "Cast 4 Warps" donation program for OCAD server, which is back up and running thanks to my own stupidity with finances. So when the donation stuff is available, please give generously since I got shafted at the vet today :)
