Here's a more final version. Replaced the placeholder drums, got rid of the cheesy orchestra hits, and even fired up my JCM800. Still no lead guitars, though. Then you'd have to disconnect your controller from the Motif, send it to the MIDI in on the soundcard and send the MIDI out from your soundcard to the MIDI in on the Motif.

Controler's MIDI out to Motif's MIDI in, Motif's MIDI thru and audio outs to soundcard. This way you can use the controler to control the Motif and any other MIDI software are your PC.

You can hear the guitar without GR2 and Amp2 because you have direct monitoring enabled. Disable that and you're set.

If you have an NT1A, don't even bother using the SM57 on an amp like that. It isn't a stereo amp, so you just need to use one mic. Place the mic right at the center of the speaker and back about 2-3 inches. Make sure to give the amp a good ammount of volume so the mic gets a good loud signal, but not too loud as condensers can clip the signal alot sooner than a dynamic can. If you need more body, try placing another condenser behind the amp pointing into the open back of the cabinet. But remember that you'll have two mics pointing at each other, so they'll be out of phase. If your preamp has a phase reverse switch, kick that in. Otherwise you can do it in any sequencer, I think, as long as you're not recording into a single stereo track but rather two mono tracks. Buena suerte, amigo!

Decided to go with B33J's bass track. His playing was much tighter and in sync with the rest of the music. Sorry, DbS, but thanks for trying.

If you have a signal splitter, it'd be nice to record a direct signal appart from the amplified signal. Set your amp to however you'd like.

If possible, I'd like to get two bass tracks, unprocessed and processed. Or only the dry track if DeathBySpoon wasn't planning on processing it any. Same with the viola tracks, I'd like to get dry tracks along with separate tracks with any kind of processing you'd like to add.
