  1. Jesus Christ, Sasha was incredible on the pommel horse. I wasn't expecting USA to medal at all in men's gymnastics. Also, ONE MORE GOLD AND WORLD RECORD FOR PHELPS!
  2. Fuuuuuuuck that relay race had me on the edge of my seat! I went absolutely nuts, I'm sure the neighbors heard me shouting. And the look on France's face...sooooo good.
  3. http://www.sixtosounds.com/howlingsolo.mp3 A little something I did using Line6 Gearbox to process bass and guitar sounds and Superior 2 for drums.
  4. Holy shit, man! BEIJING, China (CNN) -- A Chinese attacker stabbed to death the father-in-law of a U.S. Olympic coach and seriously wounded the American's wife and a Chinese tour guide before killing himself, the International Olympic Committee said Saturday. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/08/09/olympics.murder/index.html
  5. Hahaha, I actually cringed at that moment. "Oh God he's dead..." That opening ceremony blew my mind. Still, I thought it was pretty funny at how often I was hearing bagpipe music and mariachi music. All of the money spent and the technology used that night and they couldn't be buggered to find more than a few songs to put on loop.
  6. Oh wow... That's quite a shock. I wasn't a big fan of the Bernie Mac Show, but I thought he was great in all his movies.
  7. Mine just got here today. I'll track a few lead samples and post shortly.
  8. This one is great for acoustic guitars with Piezo systems. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-AD8-Acoustic-Guitar-Multi-Effects-Pedal?sku=151429
  9. You need to drop everything you're doing and finish this.
  10. If you're going to be changing the tuning often, I'd probably definitely stay away from a trem-loaded guitar. With a floating bridge like Ibanez's LoPro Edge, once you detune one string, the rest of the srings get a little tighter, so you'll have to detune those, too. It's quite the hassle. For a fixed bridge guitar of good quality, maybe look into some of the Schecter guitars. They're made in the US and always come setup really well. This one is badass, and even comes with kickass active EMG pickups, which is what most metal guitarists prefer.
  11. Gogo Ibanez. And yeah, "Prestige" is pretty much a fail-safe.
  12. The Toneport thing actually works as the dongle, so you do need to use it.
  13. Line 6's Gearbox Gold plugin system used to cost over $500. It's basically a PODxt ($299) with Metal, Classic, FX Junkie, and Bass model packs ($50 each) as well as classic mic preamp models in plugin form. This is now on sale for a ridiculous price. $99 gets you all of this and a USB interface. Anyone who was thinking of getting a POD, look into this crazy deal! http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Line-6-GearBox-PlugIn-Gold-Bundle?sku=706521
  14. Start with the super basics! I wanna know/hear the differences between saw, square, and all that.
  15. I feel like even though I don't really know you, I still know you really well. Except that I don't. Either way, happy...well, EVERYTHING!
  16. Congr..DON'T DO IT. But yeah, congrats!
  17. FUCKING AAAAAWESOOOOOME MOVIE! I'm definitely going to watch it again. Best Joker ever.
  18. Well shucks, that kinda sucks. Hopefully there will be a hack that I'll be able to use sooner or later, but I'd also hate to try it and end up with a busted PSP. I had originally planned to buy a Nintendo DS and a Cowon A3 so I could have games and movies to kill a few hours of downtime at work but decided on the PSP instead since it could do both. Playing old ROMS on it would have been the icing on the cake, but it's nothing I can't live without.
  19. Speaking of PSPs, I just bought one this Tuesday. It's the red God of War model. I had heard about being able to install custom firmware that lets you load up emulators like ZSNES and whatnot. Well, what I did not know was that you have to downgrade your firmware first before you can install the custom firmware, and I actually just updated to Sony's 4.1 firmware. Any ideas on downgrading from 4.1 or am I pretty much fucked?
  20. Yeah, I can agree with that. I guess it cuts both ways. I could say that you can buy the expansion packs for a wider range of sounds, but that would get pretty expensive. We'll see. Based on some of the samples on their site, Superior 2 just seems like it'll be able to replace everything I have that deals with acoustic drums. Not to mention the expansion pack that is to follow.
  21. There is an expansion for EZD called Drumkit from Hell, but before EZD was out, there was Drumkit From Hell Superior, which is what Snapple and I use. It's a huge library of raw drums. Huge. And it also cames with 2 expansions which were Custom & Vintage, and Vintage Add-On. I have all three of these libraries and I love them. They sounds fantastic. But I may just get rid of them as soon as my Superior 2 gets here.
