  1. I also thought about the slow beginning, but if it gets sped up, it will lose all this "storm progression" feeling... so I don't even mentioned! oh! a little suggestion: raise the master volume of your mix! I have to raise my system volume to be able to hear your mix properly... and later I throw away my phones as the next mix starts, punching my ears! Adjust it according to the other OCR mixes!
  2. f*ck! why this kind of thing keeps happening to the remixes I like most?
  3. awesome I was listening and thought that it was going to be calm and almost "boring" all the way through... until the rises at 3:10, 3:38 and 4:10! wow! it really got my attention! the thunder by the ending... perfect! I listen only to mixes from games that I've played, and I never played zelda... but the title of this one forced me to listen to it... and I'm grateful! you really have a superb mix in here! do what you think it's needed! I cannot help you at all to make it better! btw, just one thing: can you give an alternate link? anyone that does not require an account to download...
  4. woa! an update that I have missed! sorry! good work on the drums! I recovered that previous pleasant feeling! I (still) haven't heard the original one yet to compare... but I guess you did a nice job arranging the tune itself! And your ending got better, a bit strange for being quite lengthy. And you made an abrupt cut on the ending, easily noticeable... at least, fade it out nicely! That's my drop on the ocean... wait for someone bringing some rain!
  5. I usually dislike mixes with lots of effects... but this one got somehow better. If you want to submit it, it could worth a try, but you know... you can always spot a flaw to fix if you take the time! Let's see if it will make through the merciless judges...
  6. ok then... voted! (now you know my vote! damn! where's the anonymity? )
  7. update! \o/ thanks for the longer version! now... I believe that the "work" on the drums is what made the mix some more bass-like. Maybe that's the way it should be, but I prever the old style... higher sounds. I think that it suited better. Anyway... you know what to do! Go ahead!
  8. the overall music is better... but it still seems that you haven't took some time to compose something else to include here. and you did some cut-and-paste arrangement on the first third of the music... the rest remains almost (if not exactly) the same. do some "homogeneous" arrangement around!
  9. I don't remember the original tune, but your remix is really good! simple and pleasant! that break at 0:56 was just perfect! maybe you should change the ending... it's quite abrupt and... let's say... disappointing! It ends out of nowhere! and make this song a bit longer... I was just starting to enjoy the mix and it ended hope I helped... develop this beauty and go for it!
  10. I loved lufia 2... I skipped 1 because the graphics scared me! but nowadays, I'd play it anyway! I became very plot-focused! Yeah... maybe it's a good idea! but... wait! I have two unfinished RPG games in progress! but... they're boring anyway! enought blabbing! well... when you finish playing lufia 2, I'll have some mix suggestions for you!
  11. joyful song... I liked it! just to be sure... this is from Lufia 1, right? I haven't played it and I don't remember this music in Lufia 2 maybe later I'll look for the original and compare... then I'll try to post some constructive comment (as far as my lack of skills allows me)
  12. epic mixes... it doesn't sounds good! I have many mixes in my playlist because I like some parts of it... very few mixes I like entirely... and for sure it's impossible for such a huge mix to be interesting throughout, and I'll not listen a 30 min mix just to hear a 2-4 min section that I like! I'm still afraid about the outcome of this project... but I hope it flows nicely!
  13. it's really better than the last ones... however, it's still quite repetitive... I think you should do some composition. and a simple detail: isn't the tune that shows up at 0:27 too faded away?
  14. I posted a request for a Xenogears project some time ago... (it seems it was lost in some kind of requests forum cleanup) Too bad I'm not anything like a remixer... just a listener! I was excited about the idea of a Xenogears project, but I guess that the guys around have a point about an unknown user creating a project like this. Maybe you could pass the lead of the project to a veteran user that jump in...?
  15. no more suggestions? blast! I was about to suggestsome from Silent Hill, Chrono Cross and Golden Axe... whatever... do you mind explaining this starred and unstarred system? first I though of them as the "important" and "discardable" bosses... but then we have the ones which are both... how does it work, anyway?
  16. maybe this was already answered, but I haven't found it: how the remix should be done when a certain important boss have many themes, like robotnik across several sonic games? will it be a medley? this is also an example of boss which is "normal" and "final" at the same time... how this will be dealt with?
  17. adding some bosses, what about Rosencrantz or Guildenstern from Vagrant Story? oh! just remembered!! Eve! where's Eve from Parasite Eve? It could be Utimate Being too!
  18. well... I see you have a problem with "boss overdose"... but it can't be helped... and I feel that I need to post a few suggestions: - Deus (Xenogears) - the Sinistrals (Lufia 2, maybe 1 as well) - Gilgamesh (FF5, not the final one, but a kickass one) sorry about trying to increase the size of your problem!
  19. boss music project? WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love battle songs! I love boss songs! If I remember any good song to add to the project, I'll post it right here! go ahead! kickass project!
  20. good... but a bit repetitive! add more custom melody... and I liked the fugue suggestion by phntm! try it! I bet it will be a real good outcome!
  21. it's cool, but still too much similar to the original one... someone maybe could even mistake it for the original, or an official remake for a spinball ost disc I don't know what to say to help you... custom melody parts, new song style (even the actual one being nice)... I dunno! I'm just a listener! The way it is now, I don't believe the judges would accept! be creative and go ahead!
  22. hum... cool mixing! keep it going!
  23. deadline getting close! yay! I've missed this project till now... at least I'll not be anxious for long! raising a curtain, mint theme, stream of time, sylphys, be absentminded, take up the cross, freeze, the dream will never die, and... fighting of the spirit!!! woooooo! *joy*
  24. first of all... I also dislike (I'm being nice) this music in sonic. but the remix is cool... if you're considering it as a WIP, meybe you should do some more arrangement, like many people said. and I don't know if it's just me, but this song had quite an "arabian" touch... mainly in the beggining. it reminded me of belly dance music, until 0:30, when the eletronic stuff begins! I say "touch" because I think that later it lost this feeling... if you intended to make it that way, I think you've forgot it as your worked went on. If that's not the case, maybe you could arrange it that way!
