Hmmm sounds like improvement...er at the start. But Hewowism, you don't have any say for how my synths fit in with my mixes when you use that awful "pop-corn" synth lol. Also...there is still a lot of dissonance my boi. I think that you need to practice that "ear" for key. If it's not your ear...then mess around with the pitch until it sounds good, because as this mix is, the off key-ness is not doing the job, sorry dude, but sugar-coating won't help you improve T_T...ironic as it's coming from me, but yeah, keep at it homeslice.

This is excellent in almost every aspect, however, this piece so liberal that if you were to tell me it's an original piece, I would have believed you. Albeit, it's still an excellent compo and far beyond the skill level of many-a-composer here. Good work Nutritious, I look forward to hearing new stuff from you(but please make them a tad more conservative :D)

well I'm sure that thasauce and vgmix won't mind this, but well, it's def. not ocr ready yet. There's a lot of dissonance - I'm sorry - I didn't feel like reading your wall of text - so if its intentional that's fine. Well not really. The J's hate dissonance lol. It may be your synths that make it that way. The drums also sound too loud and it almost clips at parts, so volume wise it needs to go down a bit as well. As for the arrangement, minus the off key-ness, its original enough. Though I'm not so sure if the other super metroid enthusiasts would consider this remix to be doing the source tune justice. I feel that you could do a lot better - big potential here methinks.

Because then OTHER ppl complain about ppl doing THAT. Can't please everyone dude.

Funilly enough, they are seperated using panning effects and EQ. I think that I just have too much middle going on...I'll see if I can fix that later. As for the texture, I can prob do something creative with that as well. More so, rather. And I'm glad you prefer this over the original ^^

haha, no worries. I don't mind, in fact I took another serious look at my song and I realized that the breakdown part IS bland. So, I'm making that section half as long, though i don't know what to do after that, because I don't want to make the transition after the breakdown to be the exact same. And welcome aboard to OCR , just try to avoid posting in the general chat w/e u do , cuz the rabid elitists roam that "territory" of cyberspace and they will chew you up then spit you out. Well as for one thing, it's not done, hence the drum fill at the ending. I usually post wips that are only half done so I can leave in tons of room for change. And are you sure you listenned to the lead properly?? It varies a ton from the bland original lead if I varied it any more, it'd become too liberal. And if I didn't make the chords sustained, it would sound like I was completely changing the song, since most of it relies on that. HOWEVER, I will definitely look into changing up drums as Gario said and the 2nd part with the distorted drums will get a lead to make it interesting. Sorry about the confusion guys - shoulda stated that this is more of a skeleton than a complete song. And thanks for commenting - I will attend to the issues that I see fit to change. I think it's because I used minor chords instead of the original inverted thingies from before. The songs not done yet, so don't comment about the "ending" in terms of "closure". Moreover, this IS still a draft, so there's a good chance that there's some big issues with it, especially EQ wise. ALSO...I wish I had better orchestral samples. Oh by the way Snapps, the Native Instrument synths that you sent me don't work thanks for trying to help me out though.

Amen to that. Couldn't have said that any better myself. However, I have found some inspiration - and Vagrance may be collaborating with me - so, in either case, I've got something cookin' though hopefully it'll smell better than the Rock. I'll post you guys an update purty soon...having some dissonance problems atm and I don't want to make your stereos explode(nor your brains).
