  1. Abysmal Essence, an underground VG team is looking for an additional composer! If interested, please contact me via PM or at my IM the_great_guy_sorta@hotmail.com
  2. A lot of people are getting frustrated with the lack of posting mixes, as I'm sure that DJP is equally frustrated with having to deal with a mountain of tasks. I was thinking that DJP might want to delegate the posting to other admins as well, which could help to get that queue up 'n running again. I'm sure this has been thought of before, but there's no harm in trying it out - unless it's already been done. Just thinking is all...
  3. for fixing clipping problems, you'll probably have to reduce the volume/velocity of your individual notes. That and get a real decent Limiter if you don't already have one. Also, make sure your EQ for your lows, mids and highs is real good. I.E. make your bass drums have mostly low frequency settings and a touch of mid - shouldn't have any high at all, and snares have very little low and high, mostly middle. Most lead synths are middle range as well, so reduce their lower ends and their high ends a bit and maybe give them some stereo seperation (maybe stereo sep. for the chords too)
  4. It's good to see some new composers. I still think we need a few more voters...and sorry I forgot to vote this round :S
  5. This nub has a request: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Y9d4N7n9M midi: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/ccpeopleseized.mid It's a fairly simple source, yet it conveys a lot. Orchestral or hybrid orchestral/whatever would be preferable. Thanks.
  6. Yeah haha, "Leap Into God's Realm" actually turned out not to be the intro track. My employer ended up using the Credits track as the introduction... shoulda specified lol.
  7. Such a waste of good talent eh. I figure Prot's severely bipolar
  8. fu**** I got the worst flu man...been trying to get my two wips going, but I just can't break that god damned block. BTW, the midi for Sacrifice part 1 was made at 750 bps lmao...who writes a song in 750 bps??? Anyways, it's gonna be quite the challenge, providing that I get better... Sorry about the delays there Rozo
  9. Yeah, it's more for fun than the money; good experience too - though I wish I could afford better sampels; I don't want to go down the evil route of torrenting
  10. Listening to V7... Okay let's see what we've got oh wow that is a very impressive intro. Nice transition for the drums. The key is muuuch closer to sounding perfect I can actually enjoy this a LOT now. Awesome work. Feels very ambient and DnB-y. I think that I only heard 3-4 wrong notes throughout the entire piece - I could be wrong - but in either case, I dig V7 a lot. I'm assuming it's not done yet, right? Cuz the "ending" if that's what it is needs an epic build up, or at least a decent, elongated cadence. For instance, you could make the drums get extra crazy at the last phrase, then make it end on a loud (but not clipping) crash, then have the final chord (and or) low key root note finish off the song for about half a bar or so.
  11. Can you hook me up with that plugin ?? Cuz the randomizer for FL studio kinda blows goat lol. And Wow @ the 30 tracks thing. I'm going to be working on two OSTs myself for two different private companies though I don't think I'll be doing 30 tracks for them lol. Keep at it
  12. It's impossible not to steal Tale's Thunder DCK 2 has got a way better sound track to boot anyways so yeah. Anyhoo, I'm really looking forward to this project coming into fruition - best of luck all
  13. This is the OST I made for World Molder, a downloadable game for the X Box 360. My alias for original works is Synthesized Demise just so you all know http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=3897495d660a541fd6baebe61b361f7ce04e75f6e8ebb871
  14. Mm much better - this actually reminds me of Final Fantasy 9 Good work.
  15. no, sorry I meant the velocity of the harp. Each note is at the same volume and perfectly length - albeit this does not need to be that picky, it's just that's the only problem I could find...if that really is a problem in the first place. It's all subjective right
  16. This is pretty darn RPG-ish feeling, so you got the right feel to it. Seems pretty decent over all, the harp sample is a bit mechanical sounding though ><
  17. Here are most of the common chords http://www.fileupyours.com/view/218181/chords.png Check em out
  18. tons of links to drum sample .wavs here. May not be as good as a VST but it's handy nonetheless. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=221575
  19. Also, look at KVR audio - TONS of resources there, albeit a lot of it is stuff that costs money http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=221575 and this resource here is super handy for a shit ton of free wavs for percussion
  20. It takes lots and lots of practice. I'm still learning myself...but you know what? So are the pro's. Sure they may be good, bug again, it's all subjective right? Don't let the J's or anyone else here put you down, eh.
  21. Congratulations Snappleman, you're the first person to make it on my ignore list. Next time you comment on someone's piece, make sure that you have something WORTH SAYING, because all that seems to come from your text is inane flaming. You have a good day now, ye hear?
