  1. IMO this production is pretty solid, except as usual, Robo, you left it half finished =D Oh wait, I do that too Anyhoo, I think this track is great insofar, just like the rest of your music.
  2. How do I host the image?? Is there a link I can copy or something??

    Disgaea

Ditto. Good luck finding the bloody midis though... If anyone has any links to Disgaea midis - post 'em here!
  4. waCha talking about Abadoss - you're gosu status at OCR =D
  5. I think one belongs in OverLooked Remix. It's a little too silly to be doing this track any real honor =/
  6. Regardless of the new issues that arose, this track is still godly IMO :D, you'd best submit this to thasauce and vgmix X as well, when you finish this one.
  7. Nice that GT took the time to crit your work there. Listen to him well As for my comments: I think the crash clips a bit, due to compression and/or volume levels. And removing the steel drums Really really helped this track out. However, still some production issues, which I believe GT covered. BTW, my ears had an orgasm when the guitar played...so...nice o.O Keep at this work and this work will prob be the best mix of 2009 if u get YES'd Er...make that 2010 due to the sluggish queue...
  8. Well, this is a pretty nice take, except the industrial beat seems to not mesh well with the track, as I shouldn't say it's off key, because it's just a sound effect, but it doesn't mix well with me. Also, speaking of the mix/EQ, it's pretty muddy, I think the lower frequencies are overwhelming the mix a bit. By the way, I really love how you incorporate Winky's theme near the end. Why didn't I think of that =p?? So, over all I'd say this is pretty hawt, just needs some tune-ups methinks.
  9. I forgive you =p. You have a life unlike most of us here
  10. Yeah wrong forums. Admin can you put this in the Original WIP forums please? Thanks. Anyhoo, may as well comment since I'm here. Piano sample is real nice, if you said it's live played I wouldn't have batted an eye. I like the slow somber feel that transitions to an upbeat melody with drums. I like the low piano notes a lot, they're a nice touch. Very good interaction with the drums to the song, they don't sound like they've just been glued to the track like a lot of digital music these days. This is pretty professional sounding, in my opinion. It's pretty good, especially when the synth lead comes in. Good job.
  11. <---- Huge fan of DeathbySpoon. OKAY let's see what we got here! I'm not sure how to critique the production, so I'm gonna accept it as is - seems pretty decent, it's not like the lead or drums are being drowned out. Welll maybe the snare and kick could stand to punch out a TAD more. I liked the arrangement insofar and this track's got smoking hot energy. Nothing much to say other than it rawks. Keep it up.
  12. Hmm, no responses?? For shame! Okay, I'll DL this track and check it out... Clipping issues to begin with. Gotta use a Limiter if you don't have one. Good bass and beat - but they both need to be reduced in volume by a few DB. Nice choir, the piano is a bit too mechanical gotta humanize that stuff a bit. Sweet cut off effect, as well as cool side-chain FX). However, I think that the beat needs some variation - the four on the floor thing is kinda dull, that's just me though. I didn't detect any chord issues here. BUT The thing that's working the most against this track, is the lack of change in textures and over-all feel. The OCR judges LOVE it when you can change up the soundscape (without losing direction like I often do, lol). Either that, or cut our a minute and a half or so. So yeah, this has someof work to do, but it's not a bad start - hopefully someone with better critiquing skills can explain this better than me.
  13. Feels like Super Metroid lol. Good job. Very sweet drum distortion you have going on there. Except I didn't get a hell-ish feeling, like some other people have stated. The notes need moar punch. And the melody shouldn't be pushed in the background so far by the beat. Like Rozo said, the melodies are much too close to the sources - gotta remix 'em up - otherwise this is just a very abstract cover. The transition for me wasn't so bad though, but I guess I'm less picky with progressive music Also, if you're going for a creepy ambient feel, we need scarier pads and/or demonic or ghostly SFX. Check out http://www.meanrabbit.com/wavhtml/wavepage.htm and http://www.tallarico.com/index.php?s=thesfxkit (just use the demo stuff - the full kit's wayy too expensive for VG remixing, unless you're Zircon or DJP in disguise) Be sure to check out KVR audio as well. If you're stumped, PM me and I can hook you up with some creepy .wav files - as well as some scary pads.
  14. Sweet. If you are still interested in BoFII tracks, PM me, and I can hook you up with the best midis; I may even have time to do a collab too But first, finish this track and the Culex/FF4 boss remix. Looking forward to hearing more of your works!
  15. You know what else needs attention from you after that project?? =p Breath of Fire II
  16. wow, it's about &%$ing time someone did this one right and well! Power Metul madness!! Not sure of how to crit the production here, because it seems pretty decent now. 2:00 guitar solo IS epic. Very nice. Interesting chiptune breakdown lol. Hopefully the J's will dig it
  17. That's what I suggested in another thread...only response was a punch in the throat T-T
  18. What gave you that impression? I post in the wip forums quite a bit Well at least on and off.
  19. We've filled our quota for right now; if you feel that burning desire to work for us, please come back - we may need you. Thanks for all who PM'd and e-mailed me. Have a great weekend! (can a moderator lock the thread? Thx)
