Snes music (and stuff before it) is like the bread and butter of the remixer's meal. Excuse my subpar metaphor, but that being said,I agree with you Ramaniscence, because it's not as near as complex as modern video game music. And to quote Usa: "Video game music is, more often than not, like movie or cinematic music than actual game music nowadays." (something around those lines) And I agree with him. The point is...modern game music is a lot harder to emulate and remix; as well as it is a lot less enjoyable (for it seems to me that modern game music is pretty damned generic) - though God of War's music is pretty sweet, despite its cinematic-ness

I suspected as much. Yeah lots of clipping to fix and volumes to adjust. As for the direction, I guess I should devise a tangible lead eh. By the way Joren, do you think that a dark church organ would make for an awesome lead? I've got two half decent samples for that if you think so. If not, got any other suggestions? Thanks.

oh man, this is epic now, very reminiscent savy, you'll make Earthworm Jim fans happy in the pants - I have no idea what the other people think of this though, so don't submit this yet until other ppl give more feedback.

This is a pretty darn good start, I think the drums are a bit low-fi though, might wanna find some better samples for those. The rest is purty nice though oh and the kick is fine, it's just the snare that's kinda meh-ish. Can't wait to here more of your stuff, you've got some pretty good potential here
