  1. Personally I wasn't a fan of WW's graphical style - not the cel-shading itself, but the direction they took with the cel-shading. Mainly some of the character looks rubbed off a little badly on me, although I'm not so shallow to let it bother me, as the game had other huge flaws that pissed me off.
  2. This is an understatement. Although I wonder sometimes about people's claims about pyros being overpowered - the more I play demo, the more I'm finding how powerful pipe grenades are - they shoot so quickly, and wreck havoc so fast - faster than a soldier's rocket in closer range (i.e. 3 grenades killing a full life heavy). Pyros get raped by two quick pipe grenades as well, as well as being something pyros generally don't think of air blasting.

  4. Yep, the Arena mode is actually pretty fun, but sadly they're not fit for play until they release another patch.
  5. So I just removed the arena maps from the rotation because I've heard of crashing problems.
  6. Yeah - if anything I think soldier & pyro are the most played classes, with demo being third.
  7. So, I probably won't be on until Monday to do something in game if anything is needed with the server, as I broke a fuse last night and lost power for half of my apartment.
  8. Royalties to the DVD Consortum - I think it's like $20 per machine that can play DVDs? Also, it dilutes Nintendo's message, that their machine is purely for gaming, not for extragaming entertainment.

You're always going to get closeminded people in all walks of life - don't dwell on it too much, it's their loss if they want to shut off something because of its latent nature (assuming there are no legitimate moral issues tied to it). That said, I try not to associate people who might be that narrowminded.
  10. I'm surprised you think like this here, because Taucer and I both are surprised with what directions some people took some of these tracks - let's just say that they weren't what we expected. I guess you guys will see what I mean when the project is out.
  11. It's not a song from the actual OST, but it is to be a medley of various songs from the OST. Whether we decide to include this is wholly dependent on whether norg ends up completing this.

  17. Just a request, please stop with the name ideas in this thread - we have our own favored ideas for the name, and will not go public with it until the project is out. If you're interested in doing artwork, send a PM to Geoffrey Taucer or myself with links to the pictures or other sample artwork
  18. The thing is, when there's a map switch and you have over 10 people downloading it at once, it's a server killer. There's only 6 days to go or so anyway, so it's not that big of a deal waiting for it to become official.
  19. Yeah, I want to hold off on cp_steel for the official update because as it is, it's over 40 MB and people are going to be downloading it with the heavy update anyway.
