really good arragment, not really a fan of the shitty sounds but you have a good excuse, sounds like something out of star wars or something (that's a compliment). I agree with Fishy about the different sections, just to make it longer tho. -
not really much of a fan of zelda, but this is catchy, piano is a little repeataive, i like the intro, good drum samples, string sound a little too much like fl not much else to judge. ill be waiting for the full thing but good job on this version
-
why did you zip it if its just one file? Anyway, voice is a little to high on the bass, highhat sounds like pure shit (either get a wav on the internet or kill it completely), strings are nice put a little overpowering, the voice could be clearer, like the bass guitar, I never heard the original but this is good. sounds like something from broadway I would work on this if i was you. Ps how is final fantasy 12?
-
Jesus, you did this with FL? my good, it's like we are using different programs, stunning for you working on it for a half day, must have been an isolated day. Never heard the original, but this is like sex for the ears. There really isn't all that much to critize, i've since worst song get passed and this is your work for a half day, i just can't get over that. WOW.

you got some good stuff, bass is more disco than 80's tho try to do something a lot more simpiler, synths are perfect. For some real 80's fun, find a singer like the one from europe and have him sing about "the battle" and "fighting hard to be the best" with the sythn melody. During the ending, add one of those chessey bass and drum things like from cum on feel the noize, and yes, i still do listen to cheesey hairmetal. need more guitar parts than synth parts too. uh
-
never heard the original, very obvious that you used fl. cathcy, the melody could be stronger, i like the beakdown, the bass sounds like shit (no other way to put it), very 80's metal, but definetly not driving enough, i like the last solo kind of thing you do. I play bass and in a few months, im getting a usb interface so if your still working on it, send me the sheet music for bass and ill give you the real deal. Needs work, decent start

very happy sounding, the original wasn't that memorable, but this is great. Sounds like something motzart would do until the piano. Ending sux, obviously, the choir that fills in with the piano is a little loud, piccolo sounds a bit off, almost like an panflute. Not all that much room for improvment, by in my opinion, you should have kept the full orchestra thing going without the piano break but this is your remix, best of luck to you. Ps do you use a program or did you kidnap the boston pops (i suck at jokes)

loved the sephiroth theme, love this one as well, try to bring the precussion out more at the begininning, love the horn sound with the sfz or whatever its called. Close to the end, the brass not doing the sfz thing sounds a little muddy, clean up a few sections, mix it a bit beter, and please make it longer cause its a little on the short side. keep the awesomeness up

Final Fantasy 9 - Chaos in Alexandria (UPDATE!)
ericharris replied to John Revoredo's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
i never heard the original, but i love string ensambles (i hate spelling) and i really like this tune. the way the background instruments flow with the melody is orgasmic and i think this mix is going to be as good as it gets P.S. i made love to the polls -
Besaid Island FFX Vocal Mix - Which reverb? Pg 3
ericharris replied to DragonAvenger's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
what you could do is try to find someone with a guitar pedal and sing through the pedal with some effects on. I would love to try and help you because this song but alas, i am a n00b -
Besaid Island FFX Vocal Mix - Which reverb? Pg 3
ericharris replied to DragonAvenger's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
on the down side, the vocals seem very dry but good nevertheless and could use some effects like reverb and delay or some shit like that. Also, although i haven't heard the song in a while (last time I played the game which was a several months ago) it doesn't seem very true to the original song and the judeges are REALLY picky about not having the orignal melody in there somewhere. On the up side, the instruments are truely flawless and the singing is not american idol good, but still good like best singer in your high school good. Overal, i like it but the jugdes aren't as forgiving as me.
