OCR01640 - Final Fantasy VII "Lunatic Moon"
Thin Crust replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
This was the first sample that I heard from the VotL soundtrack. I only heard the part that made the sample sound much better then the actual song. The insanely heavy bit was also well done, but I felt that the transitions were absolutely the worst I have ever heard. At the beginning, the song lays down the heavy stuff, then all of a sudden, without warning.....it stops. Then after a little bit of lighter stuff, WHAM! It hits you again. Are the two styles good? Yes. Can they blend together better? I would say that is very possible. Did this song deliver? I think so. But the transitions are just so bad that it takes the song out of the top ten of the soundtrack. At least in my opinion. Great job to both of you. I mean that without sarcasm. -
You know you can probably email them and pull it from the judges queue and resubmit it when you work out the bugs. But I'm not sure. No harm in trying right?

Can anyone tell me why most of gametrailers doesn't work? I get the player on the page, but it remains black and nothing plays. I'm forced to watch this video on youtube.
-
Can someone please tell me why game trailers almost never works for me? All I get is the black player, and nothing plays.

OCRA-0009 - Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream

Do you think that Nobuo Uematsu could get his hands on this album? Would you send him a copy? Do you think it has been too long since he has heard his music? Do you think he will recognize his own music in the mixes? Or will he just sue us? -
You can petition for Edios and Crystal Dynamics to make a 6th game here. It would be great to see how the story ends. But I don't think any number of petitions will convince them.
-
Someone should remix this game. Except there is only one good track to do it with. .
-
The story is very hard to grasp at first. Mainly due to the fact that everyone is time hopping and seeing events from different angles. For example, in defiance (game 5 in the series), you play part of the game in the exact same time frame as the first game. You can see events from the other side of the field, where earlier, you play as Raziel at one point and then Kain immediately afterward in the same place, but with 500 hundred years difference. You get to see the natural decay of the world.
-
EDIT: Kholdstare has named the game, so now this thread can start. It is about the game, Legacy of Kain, the whole series. I am constantly amazed at the quality of the voice acting, the voice overs, the deep story and the imaginative world. It truly is a game worth noting, even if other people and myself don't think it has gained enough recognition. Defiance is definitely my favorite game of the 5. Sadly I don't think they will make a 6th.

Imagine if Zircon told you to do even more revisions just to make it better and better and you kept working on it until the release. -

Judging from what he said in the VotL thread, this is the track he was working on for this project. He said that it was "still more fighting" james bond style. I think it's the same one. Plus, I saw it on the wip boards months ago and it never went into the Judges panel. Just confused on why he never submitted it to ocr in any form whatsoever. -

You could have just gotten them from his site. Here's one. It's "Still More Fighting." And it's one of the best remixes I have ever heard. http://www.reubenkee.com/music/remixes/Still%20More%20Sexy%20Fighting.mp3 Feel free to edit this post if I have broken any rules. -
