  1. So I started a remix I was planing for a while, and I had this idea of using the actual source tune for an intro, only the first 12 seconds of it (time-compressed a bit), as sort of an initial transition into the beats. Source Tune: Remix, so far, nowhere near done the intro: http://tindeck.com/listen/blpi Question: May I use the source like this if I intend to submit it later? P.S. ALSO HOW COME NO ONE HAS REMIXED DIABLO II YET?!?!?!
  2. Finish your song proto, okay? Edit: Change the name too. It reads as broken Engrish. No really, lemme try to translate it: "Accident! A Mountain Rescue by Skies! Glory!" "I had an accident in the skies above the mountain. Success!! Now some poor hiker has [redacted]"
  3. This is just in-game music with a drumbeat over it. Nice dubstep elements, but you'll have to try harder. Get rid of the in-game audio and replace it with your own arrangement though. One of the things the judges frown upon here is in-game audio usage. Get rid of that, and we're good to go after a lot of tweaking.
  4. Hmmmm...Current prediction: AeroZ - Proto Man bracket champion Hylian Lemon - Mega Man bracket Champion Grand Champion: Hard to say...
  5. Hey Sir_nutS, did my first round entry inspire your second round entry? It's disco, and it has TOMMMMMS LOL
  6. I'm going toward the standard Super Mario Brothers overworld at the moment. http://tindeck.com/listen/dhnn - Unfinished intro at the moment Marimba and the other similar instrument are soundfonts, the rest are VSTs.
  7. If anyone is interested (and to breathe life into this post again), here is "Permafrost" in embryonic form (I.E. the not-quite-finished original I lost the FLP file for [called Beyond the Horizon], and Emunator suggested I re-make into what is now Permafrost with Flexstyle on board). http://www.box.net/shared/zup2fk6znq LOOK MA, NO BASS!
  8. Hmmmm....even though I'm out of the compo, I feel like making a Solar Man/Water Woman mix. WIP forums, here I come!
  9. Actually, this has made me want to remix more Mega Man stuff. See y'all on the WIP board!
  10. Hmmm....Oh well. Prophetik, congrats on making the next round. It was Jakesnke17 who urged me to enter this thing, and I didn't really know how it would turn out, but yeah, I was excited. Maybe too excited. You all are awesome. Prediction for the winner of the whole thing: PrototypeRaptor.
  11. Yeah, I had an idea going, but as soon as I read that I took the fileshredder to the related files. So as soon as the graphic on the front page is updated, I'm going to start for reals.
  12. I was not hitting on you, I was digging at Prophetik. I forgive the guy but damn...
  13. You're not posted yet, so no one's going to take you seriously...at least that's what I've gleaned from around here lately. One of my voters enforces this idea: Which makes me sad because I LOVE OCR, I love making music for OCR, but I don't like this atmosphere of discrimination between posted mixers and unposted mixers around here lately.
  14. So apparently I win against Prophetik? Dude's NEVER gonna build me a computer now... Oh well.
  15. Zoiks! This is a tight fight. 19-19 me/Prophetik by my count. Hey Darke, what would you do in the event of a tie?
  16. My redneck studio lol Yes, that keyboard is a Casio CTK-471 I got at a garage sale for $15, but my ONLY requirement was that it come with MIDI In/Out ports to interface with FL with. It is hooked up to the computer with a generic MIDI-USB connection I got for $2.50 on Amazon. Headset on the left side of the computer are Koss Solos, I need a new pair, they are wearing out. Got them for $20 bucks. Microphone is a Radio Shack 33-3039 I picked up for $35 I think. The monitor is a 20" Acer H203H. My speakers are 2.1 Altec Lansing 121is I picked up for $20 bucks at a local surplus/salvage store. They are the best bang for the buck. (Regular price $50) And of course, FL Studio 8; fan of the classics, baby.
  17. Oh, I forgot prophetik, that Cakewalk Home Studio 3? Cut my teeth musically on that. Here's one of my compositions from 2002 from VGmusic, my first music-community. I was known as Hyperion back then: http://www.box.net/shared/u3kming9iz Edit: Now OCR is teaching me about production.
  18. If I know who my next Robot Master is by Friday, I'm gonna start early.
  19. To put it another way, I use FL Studio 8, not Cakewalk Home Studio 3 (what I used to use)
  20. Slightly offended by this post. I use FL Studio 8, not some kind of MIDI software. As far as my usage of Spring Man and Solar Man in the verses, here: http://tindeck.com/listen/pynt I thought that was a good thing to do. That is the usage with the actual sources. I'm not completely angry, just insulted that you said I use MIDI software when I clearly do not. Here's the project file if you don't believe me: http://www.box.net/shared/oalkhrio2o I also used Z3ta+, Vanguard, Sytrus, and something called DSK TechSynth, and I put 1.5 days of work into it. I still want to work with you Prophetik, but this posted/unposted crap has to stop. Carrie Underwood is unposted. Nickelback is unposted. AC/DC is unposted. Tiesto is unposted. Of course they don't do remixes, but you know what I mean.
  21. I don't know who has the advantage in our battle....It keeps shifting and I've stopped keeping track, lol
  22. If I win I'm extremely tempted to name the one against Splash Woman "I am Hot and You are Wet"
