  1. I've never touched NiGHTS in my life, but have heard of it quite a bit. I cant tell if the song was meant to have this very cheery mood to it, but i love the bouncyness of this theme, McVaffe has given the perfect little beat to this song, and im almost intimidated by the utter cheeryness that the instruments bring to this song. I love how everything is tied toghether strongly, and beautifully rendered, it sounds as if you could simply loop the song for days and never notice that you've actually listened to it a hundred times.
  2. Ailsean comes in with another beautifull arrangement at psychedelic guitars and amazing arangements of music. I dont know where he gets the inspiration, but he deserves a medal for it.. The song is overall long enough and still makes you come back for more when you're done listening to it, it still clings to the same mood of the original song, and gives it, as said, a psychedelic touch with the competely well mastered guitars. The best Final Fantasy 6 mix so far, in great competition with Death on the Snowfield.
  3. I've never really thougth it would be possible to remix final fantasy tactics, and then i stumbled on this song Its a tad repetitive for a 4 minute song, but this song sums up on how the tutorial song would've sounded, should final fantasy tactics be turned into a futuristic TRPG. I was amazing to see that the synths sound almost as well as the music from FFT sounds. In and out of a good mix, the intro and outro give this name a good name, but reducing the time would've made it an even better mix that kept you coming back for more.
  4. Of course i've heard many JENOVA mixes from final fantasy 7, and this one is hands down the best one i've heard so far. FFMusicDJ's second mix brings no shame to us all, this comes out beautifully played with synths, the right ammount of beat without completely turning the song upside down. I was extremelly amazed at how you could make the JENOVA song sound so different while using the same type of instrument just by playing with the pitch, and cutting the sound at times. The beat is strong with the song and gives it that sort of outlook that makes the song sound on time. FFMusicDJ's second mix is again a success, im hoping the 3rd will keep thie legacy going. Good job
  5. Finding this song is like findnig a million dollars lying on the ground. The beautifull intro of this mix leads to the psychedelic and completely beautifull played guitar, i dont think that anyone could ever master a song as well as this. Its god the right ammount of bass to keep the song alive, the guitar is pitched just as high as it should be, and it makes (for the first time in history) Nobuo Uematsu look like he could do better ! Ailsean is throughly one of the best artists around, and this is one of the many reasons why.
  6. The sounds from AmIEvil come out as a creepy sort of mix from my all-time favorite final fantasy song, the snowfield song from the beggining of Final fantasy 6 (its theme). The very very soft mix played in piano and accoustics come out as one of the most amazing tracks, and most unexpected ones too. This music would fit well if Final fantasy was a resident evil type of game, but on its own, it stands up to a lot, its got some neat sounds, and some of the purest sounds you can find in music. AmIEvil deserves a lot of honor for this song, because it relives one of the best songs in a completely different genre.
  7. Listening to this song, i can almost picture the effiminate supervilain kefka dancing away to the rhumba-ish beats of this odd contraption of sounds. Although a bit short, this song still brings awesome goodness and shows just how much being unique can pay off. By mixing some very stylish beats, brass sounds, and latin style music, you can get something that sounds oddly amusing. This song was featured in mortisland's very own ZOMBIES, wich is where i had first heard of OC REMIX, i adore this mix with a passion, the spin-off remix of kefka's odd laughter still makes me want to listen to it more ! Great mix from a great artist.
  8. I was always wondering what a techno remix of this song would sound like, and i was throughly entertained with this song. Although i never found the inner-strenght to take it seriously. The cheesy-yet-well-played 404 synths (they sound as if they were from fruity-loops) give it an almost comedic style, and always use this song to make people cheer up and laugh. Throughly the song itself is to odd for my tastes, but it won a place in my playlist because i love the cheesy sound, it still makes me chuckle each time i listen to it.
  9. I always wanted to see a mix of the dungeon-ish theme that you first hear in SMRPG, this has just about the best sound that an artist can give to a song that has been almost overheard, but i still cant get enough of this almost creepy-sounding theme, the clarinet-ish sound of the main riff sounds perfect and the beat given is faithfull to keeping it on-track and perfectly timed. MCVaffe has always been good at what he did, and this is one of the pieces i call artistically perfect.
  10. The song itself is a tad short, but it keeps the bouncy theme of Geno's woods where you would later meet bowyer. The song itself is missing bass or dark notes to give it that sort of balanced sound to it. But the instruments were well played and chosen, and still give you the feel of being in the woods of a complete maniac all the while keeping you on your seat and harm-free. This rates a good 7/10 in my scales.
  11. This piece fits perfectly into its name of TIME PUNK, its the only punk mix i've seen no this entire site, and fits it very well, the fast beat of chrono's theme placed in completely amazingly played guitar riffs throughly stun me to the point where i just wish i were this good at making anything. JAXX prooves that no game music has a given style, and with the proper talent, you can make anything sound even better than it does orignally, no matter how great it was. Amazingly well done song there.
  12. This song starts out with the obvious tune from Breath of Fire, quickly disolving into one of those very well done orchestral pieces. at -2:31 i found the tympanis a little too much to bear, and got me a little discomforted with the piece, but the strings sound realistic enough to give it a good feel to it, the piece itself is well mastered and completely worth its download time, though i dont suggest it to people who are into harder stuff like JAXX on a PS note , the -1:39 string hits are beautifull, and i salute to that
  13. The first time i browsed through the site and saw FFMusicDJ i was interested to see what this artist could cook up. I downloaded sad melody being in the mood for something of the sort. My god was i ever surprised, the first 28 seconds of this song are keys from the actual song melody and rain down into some very sweet and well mastered techno. The fast synths given in this piece are somethign you really dont see every day, and the hard kick on it gives it that sort of mix that you just want to hear again and again. at -1:56 theres a beautifull synth/piano of the song and remix that probably entranced me into loving this song so much, this song gets a good 9/10 because its nto typical, tis from a great game, and its really hard hitting My hat salutes to you FFMusicDJ !
  14. The Pancake shows throws another masterpiece at us with this wonderfull game mix, the first i heard would be La Locura Del Kefka, and let me say that this is by the far, and hands down, the most amazing mix that has hit me in a long time. A very risky mix of different genres here, but they were extremelly properly timed. Here's my full song review : -2:49 The beat starts perfectly timed, a bit roughly but the fade out would've made the song completely different in my oppinion -2:37 The strings are beautifully rendered and mastered, its as if it was meant to hit the song just at that time, basically this is what makes the song what it is, and keeps the song faithfull to the game -1:54 The flute/woodwind solo starts backed up some strings, it souds beautifull to mix with the hip-hop beat -1:22 Another change of instruments, a bit risky if you ask me but gives a bit of a punch -1:00 Neat bass solo with a chording down piano-ish style, the little bass solo sounds amazing -0:36 We hear the riff played again, this is for the the ending part with a beat cut at -0:26 , it comes out perfect in the end -0:16 The ending part where theres only the beat, a hint of the stroll-down piano and the flute to finish it off This piece is what i call a masterpiece, and it ranks a well deserved 10/10, hands down.
  15. The song's very charming on its own, one of the first industrial mixes that hit OC ReMix i think. Great sounds overall, a bit risky around the edges because not everyone loves raw industrial like this. This song rates a good 9/10 in my charts. good show on this one.
