SCREW BANDIT THUG/HOOLIGAN COMBOS IN THE MOUF.
Spent at least 30s on repairs because of those guys. Ugh.

I'm pretty sure I used asio4all back in the day, can't remember why I didn't use the manufacturer's drivers. I'm thinking if your audio hardware has proper drivers on windows, simultaneous playback is fine?
It is for me. My Line 6 POD Studio's ASIO drivers work fine for simultaneous playback. Which is good, because I kinda need that to learn the songs I'm remixing.

One thing I like about OSX's Core Audio is that I can run audio at low latencies, and at the same time still maintain system sounds (i.e. listen to youtube, email beeps etc)
Last I was on windows (this was at least a decade ago, with a Tapco Link.USB audio interface), when I had asio engaged, everything else had no sound. I'm not sure if this is the case in newer versions of windows, but that is part of why I went with osx.
ASIO must have changed before I started using it, because I've never had that problem.

So, Macs work better for music, and you can't do composition or arrangement in a DAW.
I gotta ask again: How do I do it?
-
You guys should sub a proposal for official status!
In the works, my friend.
-
DAWs are crap for composing/arranging music.
Then how do I do it?
-
I'm hearing a lot of fantastic work from you guys that got back to us. Keep at it, cause this thing's gonna be incredible if these WIPs are any indication.

Dj Dark set up a vent for us. I'd drop the info, but I don't remember the password. Just keep an eye on the MOTD, I'll throw the info up there when I get it.

Yak's Bend is now full. Apparently, a LOT of other guilds were trying to jump on that one.
-
I lol'd.
Imagine how bad it would be if they didn't have the stress tests. As for me, I played for about 5 hours straight the moment the headstart launched. I experience no network problems except being kicked twice, and all I had to do was log right back in. I haven't logged in since the server restart, though.

Vocal harmonies. I'm a sucker for well-done vocal harmonies.

We should probably be posting our IDs so we can add each other regardless of what we name our toons.
Mine's DusK.3680. Maybe Derrit should add our info to the first post, too.
And now I go back to eagerly counting the days til midnight. Been a long time waiting for this game. Years. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight.

I must have misremembered then.
-
Bahamut mentioned something about it.

Well, if I must.
Or even talk to Vircon about possibly including them on the other FF6 album.
The more the merrier. <3
I don't think that'll be possible. There's a 4-disc limit for OCR releases, and I think Xircon's got all of that filled up already.

The viability of the TMNT theme specifically is being discussed at the staff meeting this week. So the answer may change in a few days.
Something else to consider is that it's not a full song, but an intro for the album. The track clocks in at under a minute, so it wouldn't pass OCR standards anyway.

So what would one have to do to make it official earlier, just out of curiosity?
I'm wondering this as well. I'm currently sitting on a ton of WIPs for an album, which I'd like to make official, containing contributions from about 10 posted ReMixers. Not really sure what the next step would be in this scenario. Is there a specific person I should PM to get the ball rolling?
-
I have a question about II.1.a. Specifically in regards to Kyle's TMNT project. The title theme for each game is pretty much a straight rip from the theme composed for the show. Does this mean that a remix of this song isn't allowed on the album at all, or will it just not count towards the evaluation?

Birfdaaaaay!

I am also in possession of said Portal 2 75% off coupon.
On that note, I also have a Bastion key.
PM for either.

You can use whatever you want from my catalog, though I dunno if it's the kind of stuff you'd "step" to.
-
did you have problems with it before?
The first two beta tests were super unoptimized, so I had to set everything on medium and turn off the shadows. Now I can crank everything and not see a single slowdown.
Kinda like I was expecting. ANet always follows through.

Has anyone checked out the performance in the recent stress tests with the new client? It's running silky smooth for me.

But with Bug head, instant appliances are ready to start this software. You can enjoy sound as high as high-end sound or much higher! Try with Overcloker remix.
