  1. You are you guys/gals using for a controller? (I saw that the Gamecube controller was not functioning properly)
  2. I did not say "must not {have} live{d} in the South", I said "been". My experience with the South has been different than yours, which is why the show greatly appeals to me and not so much to you and others. I believe that location does help the show out. You should try Georgia out, Texas is quite a bit off the ol'South trail in my opinion.
  3. Evidently you have never been to the south. Amazing show.
  4. I personally believe that animes are low rated because: a) The ones we were introduced with (mainly "Outlaw Star" and "Big O") were great till the end, which made no sense thus giving an impression that all animes are like that. Not to mention one of the first anime movies we were introduced to was "Akira" (maybe one of the anime fanatics can correct me or confirm this). They have a continuous plot line (unlike "Family Guy", "Robot Chicken", "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law", "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast", ect.) which makes it hard to continue if you miss an episode. b.2) The plot line is long. DB and DBZ come straight to mind when I think of long, drawn out stories ("What will he do for the next 6 episodes?!? Charge up his attack and monologue, of course!") c) Since they are aired so late at night, there is not much incentive to watch it if you had missed a previous episode. I understand I'm more focused on the AS slot mainly because that is were Toonami was born. I think more current Toonami took on the less adult animes which is fine, the focus group is kids to teens.
  5. I'm pretty sure Toonami started way back in the day at like midnight and showed classic animes, like "Cowboy Bepop" and "Outlaw Star". Maybe it was designated as Toonami at that point in time.
  6. Crits > Me *shakes fist at scouts*. Too bad I like to say hello to people with my machette
  7. In regards to the shaky camera: I personally believe that the camera is not a character in the story, it does not need to abide by the laws of physics. It is a window into the world the directors are creating. When a director attempts to personify the camera and does not acknowledge its presence, it detracts from the overall experience. I personally can tolerate a few shaky camera shots in a direct shot movie. Tolerate mind you. I've seen "Cloverfield". I am okay with the whole shaky camera effect, it felt in place... it was a character. I've seen "Transformers". Completely dissatisfied with the shaky camera shots. It not only detracted from the action, it detracted from the art that went into CG renderings and the art of filming. It is a cheap way to film a sequence you're not to sure to show, as another has stated. I would love to have this "fad" be buried along with the 70s "drug trips".
  8. I agree. That is why I love 300, it went back to the stand-still/panning action sequences. I hate the Bourne trilogy because the "intense action" gives me "intense nausea".
  9. Oh Funcoland, how you backstabbed me in the face.
  10. I plateaued at 872... those cling-things are really scarce at that point. Really fun game and excellent music.
  11. So do you guys use Flash to make the gif? Still unclear what programs you use to get the frames into a "mini film".
  12. Thanks Drack! I am loving opera already
  13. Thanks! I think I'll look into Opera.
  14. It looks shiny but I am scared! I've been using IE for, well, all my life and always wanted to use a different browser. Is this a good one to jump to? It sounds fancy and shpiffy but, thats what advertisements are meant to do. Thanks
  15. Heath Ledger didn't make it to your list? Personal preference I suppose. Sucks. Guess we'll have to read our movie trailers once again, or they'll replace him.
  16. Thank you, I was just about to say that. Also, any non-original music are all sue worthy. I highly suggest you don't charge for this movie and call it a fan made flick.
  17. Finally got U-Turn the way I wanted it! http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=879006

  19. It is far too easy to be an asshole behind a monitor. Everyone should at least give the whole movie a go before you insult it. I saw "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" and honestly, Adam Sandler's best movie to date.
  20. No inspiration for this theme GL to all who are competing!
