I've noticed this has been pretty empty recently.
Is there still interest in this server?
If so I think we should start looking at admins.
Usually Wind and myself get the server going at nights. We've have some pretty big matches. 8v8 at one point.

It's a lot tougher to get it going by sitting in there by my self so It would be great if some of you guys could add myself and Wind both of us have been getting the server going on a regular basis. I haven't played in a while due to the fact I've been busy with social things lately and taking care of my dog will be in effect all next week to.
What we need are people WILLING to say "Hey lets play some CS:S" once you get 1v1 going, people start joining and it gets going.
I had some guy the other night asking me where zircon and djp were. lmao. So just hit us up. If anything I'd go home at night and play some CSS next week. I don't want to sit around my moms all day.

I am all for making rounds 3 minutes long. Seen quite a few matches go past 3 minutes long and it makes people wanna quit.
Also, I'm thinking we turn one of the regulars for Source into admin.
I vote me. lawls.
But yeah we should. It would help out a lot.

Oh yeah, concerning alltalk. Generally alltalk is frowned upon in CS:S iirc. But you can vote it on, which should pass easily in low pop.
Or if enough peopel want it on, we can do that I s'pose.
Yeah, I figured since its OCR it would just be for fun and such.

It will build a player base in time. I check the server every time I log onto Steam.
Usually when Windstrike and I are on, we get it going late at night.

My CS:S clan, MaCK, has been around since 2006. With the new update CS:S just got, our server has been packed every day and night. We don't allow AWPs, flashes, or auto-snipes.
Just make sure to get admin set up, as well as all the latest exploits and hacks patched so you don't get invaded by hackers. Maybe think about banning AWPs because they take very little skill to use. The Schmidt Scout takes a lot more skill than the AWP, and is a lot more fun to use than an AWP.
I'd have to agree, I was playing on a server, and pretty much everyone was using the AWP. I'd ban it. I don't mind flashes. Not sure why anyone would. They're pretty standard.

YEssssssss. It has been coming along for quite a while now. I thought NS was a HL mod though, not CS.
it is a HL mod, my friend Tyler got a bumper sticker from some big NS server for the top player of the month, note he used to play 8 hours a day and completely raped at that game,
Also, I agree with rambo, I like the way the server is right now.

I was going to buy that today, haven't yet..
I'm having trouble with Steam. It says "Unable to connect to Steam." and on TF2 it says it's not able to connect to SAV or whatever the security server is. I turned off my firewall and it's still doing that. I have a direct connection to the modem. *sigh* Anyone know what's up?
Dude, the info is on steam, delete EVERYTHING in your steam folder, except that blobfile name it like oldblob2 . (backup your games and appdata folder)
and then reboot steam. it should work then. It team to update. its not on the latest updated shit so it thinks its busy, when its really not. I've had this problem before, 3 times.
Sorry I wasn't on the server tonight guys. Friend was over and shit and futurama takes presence over video games. I'm sure Fireslash didn't mean to have the two coincide along with OHC being tonight as well.

Oh I forgot about deathmatch. Yeah if you play with respawns there's bound to be a lot less camping, but I don't think we're looking at making a deathmatch server. Fireslash?
I'm assuming you can change the game mode in server, no? But if its a different game mode, Well then yeah, i can see how its suitable.

CS is organized as attack/defend maps. So typically you'll have one team camping, and the other team on offense. There's plenty of roaming, but the idea is to camp the objectives. It's not like a TF2 attack/defend where you can sacrifice yourself to push them back slightly, because you can't respawn. Though a CS:S map organized in the same fashion as a TF2 arena map would be pretty sweet. Don't know if that exists.
Can't respawn? the server I used to play on, you could respawn. And then I see what you're saying, But I'm still not a fan of camping.

Generally you just need to learn to quick headshot, camp corners and use any sniper rifle and the famas/m4a.
Halt doesn't like campers. I think camping is silly.
The only exception I have to it. Lets say your being chased, you run behind a wall go prone and when then come at you, boom. dead.
But purposely camping and waiting for people is stupid.

I'm back into the p90x again, I'm making time for it in the mornings now.
Today I had one hell of a workout, but i only lasted 30 mins of the full hour. Being the fact I was extremely tired going into the workout today, woke up at 5:30am and couldn't get back to sleep.
is it bad if I cut a workout short? Or just can't finish it? other p90x workouts I can finish, plyometrics kicks my ass though.

Where in Wisconsin? Perhaps I could get in on that pick me up as well and help pay for gas. I don't have a car though (no way I can afford one right now with all my college finances/debt) so there's no way I can drive.
Too bad it's not a little in future after the 26th; I'm going to be in northern Indiana (literally 5 minutes from Chicago) on/around the 29th until July 10th or so.
Ladysmith wisconsin, kind of on the northwestern side of wisconsin, look it up on google maps.

Dude. I'd totally be down for it, except the 26th is no good for me. It would have to be a bit farther in the future for me to go.
Though it's about time we had a Midwest meetup again. Last one was in Louisville back in 2007.
If ANYONE has to come through Northern Wisconsin, or would be willing to pick me up, I will help pay for gas with little money I have.
Or arrange a half way point, possibly. the pick me up would work so much better. cause I'd have no one to drive me to meet up.
I'm in as long as I can find a ride.

I KNOW I shouldn't post this, but I've scoured the web not being able to find any decent samples that I need.
I'm into the light melodic style of Yasunori Mitsuda. The quaint feeling of his music is something I'd love to get into.
But I just can't find any good samples of things that would fit that catagory. Maybe someone knows of a cheap sample pack from somewhere I could pick up.
It'd be great if anyone can direct me to some things that I could use for this specific genre.
