Cincy Ohio here...
Reference Zelda Mix... (Be sure to click "HQ" at the bottom right hand side of the video window for high quality audio)...
-
Hey man...I posted a very short clip from part 2 of the Zelda Remix on Youtube...hoping for your opinion on the direction...my idea with this section is that it is the "calm before the storm"
-
Hey man...I wanted to give you a little update on part 2 of the Zelda Remix i've been working on. I dive into Gerudo Valley on this one...and it's coming together nicely...
-
Hey man...this mix should be just a tad bit cleaner...it's still missing the solo and ending...but...it's coming along quite nicely...if you are up to putting the original halo theme strings in the mix...feel free...

Hey...thanks for the listen...about the number of mixes...well...I don't feel that it's all that quickly...but maybe it is...i'm still a newb...but I do have a little system...
Mostly I record an idea track first...in which I do no eq/compression/etc...I use this track to get a good drum mix...but axe everything else...
Next...I normalize the drums to 100 percent...and begin recording a "real mix" after being satisfied with my idea track. I record the new track with the idea mix taking up one of the slots...to keep me in place.
Next...I record each instrument until I am happy with it...and export each instrument to seperate left and right tracks...(also surround tracks if applicable)
Finally....I begin mixing with all the parts...I apply light compression to each of the instruments...and use the volume faders to get ride of parts that pop out too much.
After a little experimentation with compression and eq...I finalize the mix.

I thought I'd provide you a short clip from the ending of part one of my Zelda Remix...which is essentially the intro of Part 2. I posted a short clip on youtube to give you an idea of the direction...the idea here in creating it is to create the "calm before the storm" in the music. This clip takes place almost immediately after the video that you have already seen. Let me know what you think of the harmonies...too much? too little?

Link to "Halo the Movie" Fan Film...sorry about the dead link...

Some of the more interesting footage captures are towards the end...

The last WIP halo mix I posted was very rough...so I thought I'd share this with you...much progress is being made though I have not put the solo in yet...
-
There is a new "High Definition" Nintendo Wii in development, the aspects are kinda hush hush...but I have an inside source who confirmed it...along with the development...of what will supposedly be the most epic Zelda adventure to date...for release within the first year window to encourage people to upgrade

This is another section from part 2...which is essentially the "Darker" of the two parts...Do you think this clip has too much going on? Not Enough? Also...is there any particular theme from any of the Zelda games which this section might flow nicely into? I appreciate your help and opinion on this.

Thought you might want to hear some originals: (Band name: Erasing Fate)

Track has come a long way...still working out the solo...but the song is is definately working now....

When you guys are judging...it might be important to know that this Zelda Track is a part of the "Oracle of the Sun" series...

Yeah...the strings during the break are from the source...I added some guitar harmonies in the middle of the mix to give it a little presence and build it...close to being finished now
