  1. Saw you checked out my profile, which reminded me that I meant to say I'm digging your Link to the Past ReMix. Deceptive opening with sweet melancholy chords, followed by awesome organ and bass. Nicely done!

Hey thanks, glad you like it!

  2. Hey, guys! Thanks for getting me back in OCR for reals. Looking forward to the next episode!

I'm finally caught up on the show. Thanks for the mention in the Playlist!

  3. Thanks again for your insightful comments in the latest VGOP. I appreciate someone taking the time to actually explain their opinion.

  4. Hey, metaphist! I just wanted to thank you for ReMixing Little Nemo's ending theme. That's probably my favorite source out of the whole game (top three, definitely) and one that I had thought about reworking myself.

Anyway, to keep this short, excellent job. I hope we get to hear more from you in the near future.

    Cheers!

  5. Happy b-day!

    Nice ReMix, btw.

  6. This is ridiculously good. The female vox are awesome (what a voice!) and it sounds like you've balanced everything out, adding little bits and pieces (including very nice synth work throughout). The new lyrics are great and I love the strings later on. Even with the unique style and lyrics, it holds true to the game. The judges would have to be crazy not to pass this!

  7. Yep, it's been about that long for mine too. You make a great analogy, btw. I can totally relate. I think OCR needs a "Get Your WIP Done" support group, or something like that. But I'd probably be too lazy to post... Seriously, though, I think the community part helps a lot, especially when you get feedback and realize that there are twenty people waiting for your next update. That's pretty cool.

  8. Cool, and thanks! Looking forward to hearing the completed Majora's Mask mix and anything else you might have in the works.

  9. Well, you've definitely got my vote on a Mario RPG or World mix. And CT needs more metal mixes! Looking forward to them.

  10. Congrats on the wicked awesome ReMix, Will! Inspiring, to say the least, and the first of many, I'm sure.

  11. Actually, I finally found a decent mic and am re-recording it now. I hope to use my brother's keyboard to input some violin as well (unless I can find a real one...) so I should have an update this weekend. Once that's posted, I'll probably start on another. I have a lot of ideas, mostly for semi-obscure games. Which reminds me, I gotta give you credit for taking on the big themes (LoZ, Mega Man, FF) in a big way. I'm assuming you'll do Chrono Trigger next, right? j/k But whatever it is, I'm sure it'll rock.

  12. No problem. It helps that I think your mixes are awesome and generally cover sources that I know. And I agree on the feedback from people outside your inner circle. Definitely a good thing (if constructive) though it can be tough to hear. Thanks for posting on my one (for now) mix, by the way. Keep up the great work.

  13. Interesting techniques, Sweedrix. I appreciate the explanation of your process as I'm just getting into (re)mixing myself. Percussion is really the weak link for me.

  14. And you do a great job, spanning a variety of games. A question for you, though: do you find it difficult to work on multiple projects? Or is it better so you can work on different mix when you get stuck or bored?

  15. That new clip is great stuff. It reminds me of the opening to Game Over's Zelda cover. Is it just me or is there a wall of awesome sound waiting to strike just after the clip?

  16. How do you crank out so many awesome mixes, so quickly? Keep it up!
