  4. Remixer: Theophany ReMix title: Time's End Orig. Song: Last End Game: The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask System: N64 Length: 5:45 Link: Note: Here is a Remix that has been finished for a while and we have just got around to submitting. It is based on Majora's Mask's Last End. This was a fun project for Theophany as once again our source material was somewhat lacking since the original piece is rather ambient so we got the chance to create our own unique theme to go with it. We went for a somewhat epic approach that depicts the feel you get from the game when this music is played in the final hours before the giant moon crashes into the planet and you must race link back to the clocktower in order go back in time. We did this with the use of swelling strings and a prominent piano as well as some sound effects to set the mood. Hopefully it turned out well and can put a good game like Majora's Mask on the map and not allow it's brilliant music to go on being neglected. Well, we hope you like it! Theophany.

I wip:ed it on both oc and vgmix and thanx to a lot of people pushing me further, it got way better than i first had hoped. The main enyoyment of this song i think becomes obvious if you have good headphones or a good sound system, there is a heavy beat and punch in the drums and base. The main thought of the song is that it evolves over time, getting pushed more and more to the edge/extreme, and then it gets over the top and slow down for a breather at the end... I have put a good amount of attention to detail in the background witch youll hopefully enyoy. The song has been out on vgmix for a year and has gotten 10 reviews up till now. Special thanx 2: Zeiram - For sound FX track from Mega man 2 For helpful and informative comments on VGmix: Rellik, GOD RUGAL, kwix, mv and Disco Dan For helpful and informative comments on OC: solid_blue_ico, white knight, Dash2110, Riddler Sensei, JimboLodisC, BlacknightEXE and ShiroSynth _________________________________________________________________ Lättare att hitta drömresan med MSN Resor http://www.msn.se/resor/
  7. Contact Info Fatty Acid Joseph Liao jliao@mit.edu ReMix Info Final Fantasy Matoya no Fuuketsu A remix of the Matoya's Cave theme from Final Fantasy. I'll admit that Squaresoft themes aren't the most original choices in terms of remixing, but I love the epic style of composition used in the game. And I believe that my approach to remixing the theme will be original enough Hope you enjoy. Let me know if there are any problems that arise; my last submission didn't get through. Thanks again!
  8. Remixer name: Choco Real Name: Brian Hagen Email: Chocy@comcast.net (not the address this was sent from!) Game track remixed from: Seiken Densetsu III Original track name: Another Winter Remixed track name: Another Eternal Winter Made with: Reason 1.0 It's been so long since I made this that I don't have a comment for it. I submitted this remix inbetween one and two years ago without getting a reply, so I assume it was lost amoung the piles of other submissions. Oh, and my apologies for not being able to name the file properly. Comcast has a weird filename policy that doesn't me to upload files with names with anything but alphabetical characters. Hope this makes it through the rigorous screening process Thanks.

  10. # Contact Info * remixer name: Dead Pixel * real name: Eric Ernewein * my email: deviancy@msn.com * my personal page: http://dvnc.tripod.com/art # ReMix Info * Game: Doom 1 * Song: Intermission * When I think of doom, I hum this song. And in wanting to make a good homage of sorts to the songs that were on the soundtrack I created this. The original doesn't have much to work with, its basically just a guitar line transposed with a mid-section to break it up. (it was an intermission song after all) but I loved the riff and wanted to expand upon it (a lot). Hope you enjoy dirty grungy sounding synths

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my first remix!
  12. Greeting to the OCRemix Staff: I want to submit my last composition. This is the information: Your ReMixer name: Matías Fidemraizer Your real name: Matías Fidemraizer Your email address: matiasfigo@hotmail.com Your website: http://www.ffxiconfederacion.com Your userid (number, not name) on our forums: Mathius (I don't know how I can know my ID, sorry). Name of game(s) ReMixed: FINAL FANTASY XI Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Vana'Diel March #1 --------------- Additional information about game if it has not yet been added to the site, including composer, system, etc.: FINAL FANTASY XI is the lastest game of this legendary saga, and is the largest change ever made in this saga. Now is an online game, exactly MMORPG, where you can play together with infinite players from around the world. The composer of this game is Nobuo Uematsu and the target game systems of this game is Personal Computers and PlayStation 2. --------------- Your own comments about the mix, for example the inspiration behind it, how it was made, etc: Since I bought FINAL FANTASY XI, I was thinking about composing an original arrangement, and three months ago, finnally I did. The first part of this music, is an original composition, that is not from the game, but in the middle of it the music turns into the "Vana'Diel March", but remixed with different orchestration. This is a tribute to all FINAL FANTASY XI player from Mathius (this is my name in Vana'Diel's Ragnarok Server). I wonder that you will like it. ---------------- Link to the "remix": -------------- Thank you very much and I'll be waiting for see this music in your great web site. - Matías Fidemraizer
  13. Greetings. Yes, I'm back to drive you guys nuts yet again. This is a remix of "Empty Burg" from the Sega CD game Lunar: The Silver Star. Called "Fading Soul v3", basically what I tried to do was expand on the mood of the original and, in a way, complete it. See, the original song is about one minute and fourteen seconds long. It cuts off in a weird spot at about one minute and fifteen seconds in. I always liked the song, and felt it deserved an ending. So, I decided to take the solemn mood of the original, expand on part of the original, and then add new material to give the song an ending. I also tried to make it sound a little bit better than the "v2" I currently have on VGMix (hence, the "v3"). Whether I succeeded or not... Anyway, here's the info... Remix Title: Fading Soul v3 Game: Lunar: The Silver Star System: Sega CD Game Maker: GameArts, translated by Working Designs Remixer: The Coop Original Composer: Noriyuki Iwadare Bit rate: 160kb/s Length of Remix: 2:35 Length of Original song: 1:15 E-Mail: arforfaborb@rcn.com Finally, here's a link to my remix... ... and one to a low bit rate version of the original song... Thanks for taking the time to listen, and I hope you enjoy it. -- The Coop

  17. Hey there. Name's Adam Higerd, but everyone online calls me Coda. This is my first remix that I've submitted to OC ReMix; I noticed you don't have any Mega Man Battle Network series music on the site. I call it "Full Power" -- named after the scene at the mother computer where the official Navis go into Full Power mode to attack ShadowMan.EXE. The remix is based off of the heroic theme of the game -- which is first played in the aforementioned scene -- though that itself is a variation off of the title theme for the series. I also included brief themes from the Kotobuki Town melody and the Gospel server melody, as well as blending in the classic Mega Man theme from the original series. To comment about the mix itself... well, I know it's not purely MMBN2. Fully half of the mix is from the original series, and there's a little bit of influence from MMBN3's take on the theme. But it was the transition between MMBN and original series that was the inspiration for the remix in the first place. What started out as an attempt to simply retrack the first theme turned into this mix; both of the major transitions simply played themselves out in my head as I worked on fleshing out the sound, rearranging some parts, and fine-tuning the expressive control. I'll confess that, behind the scenes, this IS a MIDI file. But that's just the file format I choose to compose in. I know from experience that MIDI synthesis typically sucks, so I made sure to find some good samples to work with once I was finished arranging the remix. Once I found the samples I liked (the PersonalCopy 5.1 soundfont was kind to me), I rebalanced the parts to fit the choice of samples and massaged the pitch bends and the modulation wheel to squeeze out a richer sound. After that, I pulled the result into Sound Forge XP and tweaked with it a little there -- a touch of distortion, a bit of chorus, you know that kind of thing. As for the remix itself, it's hosted on my web server: And since you don't have any MMBN stuff on the site, I suppose I should give you the game information. Game Name: Mega Man Battle Network 2 Original Composer: Yoshino Aoki is the name I've seen attached to MMBN2 and 3, but I can't confirm that for sure. ReMix info: Name of game(s) ReMixed: Yoshi's Island Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Theme 3 Link to the original soundtrack: http://www.zophar.net/zsnes/spc/sm2yoshi.rar Well this is it, my first ReMix. To be technical, I have been working on this on and off as a midi for the past year or so, and it has only been within the last week with the purchase of a new soundcard that I could bring it into the realm of the mp3. Like what I could imagine most ReMixes end up, this started out with a general idea of a jazzy remix, and as it developed, took on it's own shape and went it's own way, into a more dixieland approach. I always liked the original, as it had a certain energy to it. I believe I managed to keep that energy intact, despite my limitations (I am still dissatisfied with the trumpet soundfont). Link:
