During that time, I sought the help of Jeremy Robson, who, after hearing his Philharmonic Suite: Part I, I hoped would be able to master what I had started, since Finale's only output is MIDI. However, when I showed him, what I thought to be, my finished piece, he critiqued it and handed it back saying, you can still improve this. So, I went back, fixed what he said was wrong and tried again... and again, and again, etc. Nearly a year later, I got a hold of a copy of Reason and now I have a mastered piece. However, if it weren't for the gracious consultation of Mr. Robson, I wouldn't have a complete piece. He kept challenging me to go back and make it better. Hopefully, it's at a level worth listening to. I chose "End of Time" pretty much on a whim. I went over to vgmusic.com and picked out several MIDIs that I thought I might like to remix and that was one of them. However, I felt that I needed a little bit more, so I decided to couple it with a theme that I'd been wanting to do for a long time, "Millennial Fair". About six months in, I started hearing "Zelda's Lullaby" from Zelda 64 in part of the cello line, so I tried to accent that a little and, later on, I gave it to the oboe, which quotes it in the second repeat of the A section. Speaking of sections, this entire piece fits under the form of a Sonata (|:A:|BA'). I originally considered it a Rondo (A|B|A'|B'|C|A''), since it had three statements of what I had first considered the A section. However, my original A and B sections fit better as the two themes of the Exposition (A) and C works as the Development (, with the A' being the Recapitulation. The piece is written in Finale 2003 and mastered in Reason 2.5. -Kenneth Edward Keyn (Abadoss@yahoo.com)

Oooh, how I wanted to submit this after my FFX-2 remix has been reviewed and what not, but after waiting 2 months for it to be on the judges panel, and waiting to week for it to be judged...and still waiting for it to be judge, I've decided to submit this anyways. # Your ReMixer name: Skrypnyk # Your real name: Andrew Skrypnyk # Your email address: Adept_Mercenary@hotmail.com # Your website: http://www.soundclick.com/skrypnyk/ # Your userid (number, not name) on our forums: 10626 # Name of game ReMixed: NiGHTS Into Dreams... # Songs Title: NiGHTS Into Dreams... - Celebration Remix # Link: # Comments: I created this remix in celebration of the new year, And...that's it. My name is Josh Gaudioso. My pseudonym is Countertop Hero. I remixed Marble Garden Act 2 from Sonic 3. I guess the "official" name of the track would be... Marble Garden Act 2 (Countertop Hero remix) I used Propellerhead Reason to make the track. Its pretty much a DIRECT re-make. Thanks.

djpretzel replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
While it's all good for Silent to have posted a link to his newer, debatably improved version, please restrict further review posts to the version posted here at OCR. -
You flatter me, sir.

Damn cordless phones. Uh, sorry to everyone and their grandmother for blabbering on as such. I'd only intended to call in and briefly feign firing Larry from the panel, but one thing lead to another, and somehow he manhandled me into talking about the site and taboo subjects like "favorite judges" and "the exodus" and what not...

Contact Info O3 Joe Hardesty MuzakRageX@gmail.com http://jingo-brothers.s5.com ReMix Info Mega Man IV Pharaoh Man's Stage Well, as usual, I was sitting in first period playing emulators, and I was humming along to all the tunes that were on, and I switched over to mega man for a bit and couldn't stop humming Pharaoh man's stage. Kinda strange, being that it wasn't one of my particular favourites. So I decided to get it out of my head, I'd just make a song out of it. Haha. I make a lot of remixes of mega man music as midis, but this is my first mp3. I have recently accquired Fruity Loops v.5, so I've been at it like crazy. Hope you enjoy it, I feel rather proud of it. I might recreate a few of the midi remixes, too, so expect more from me ~03

Goldeneye 007 - Run Away With Me - Your ReMixer name - RoeTaKa Your real name - Alex Roe Your email address - roea14@yahoo.co.uk Your website - http://www.angelfire.com/zine2/roetaka/index.html Your userid - OCR17699 Name of game ReMixed - Goldeneye 007 Name of individual song ReMixed - Runway Comments This was one of those heat of the moment kind of things. I don't know why I'm so attracted to remix goldeneye but it jsut has such a possesive feel about it. The runway level got to me in a different way. I had the idea of something slow, there's heat but, it's very atmospheric as if to be sided about whether you should run away with me (cheesy I know). But I stayed simple to this, kept to pretty much the chords and little melody and gave a slow progression, alternating instruments for different leading melodies. I've had reasons to change how this sounds but to be honest, this feels as complete as I want it to be. Something in the way the sounds somewhat connect and somewhat dont, its not very noticeable but it creates a little feedback listening. I don't believe in a perfect song so this fits nicely to me. But that's enough talking, thanks.

Link: If that doesn't work, here's an improperly tagged version at vgmix: I'm not expecting a terribly positive response to this one, but obviously I think it's good or I wouldn't be submitting it

Hello, I'm Casey Ayers of AdvancedMN.com. I've recently made an arrangement of the Zelda main theme, combined with the "Gerudo Desert" theme and a cameo by Samus Aran. I used only Garageband to make this, along with my Yamaha P120 Digital Stage Piano. The Apple Loops make mixing a joy and very easy. I made the whole mix from scratch in two hours. Thanks! -Casey Ayers -- Casey Ayers casey@advancedmn.com Advanced Media Network Editorial Content Director AdvancedMN.com
