This is here mostly because I thought Chris might want feedback on his first mix which incorporates more orchestral elements. -djp Hi, This was a valentine's day remix I did for "goatess" of the prelude theme from final fantasy 4. It's a bit different from my normal style. Here is the version under 6 megs: Unfortunately it's a long song with some dynamics and the encoding to get it under 6 megs makes it not as good as it could be, but it still is good enough that I'd be proud of this version! Thanks, goat

email sub file Chrono_Cross_Astral_Projection_OC_ReMix.mp3 ReMixer name - two-six real name - Evan Joseph e-mail - ojoe88@aol.com user name (ocr forums) - chrono26 game - Chrono Cross song remixed - "Leaving The Body" name of mix - Astral Projection this is my first submission. worked this out in a few hours. no real inspiration other than the original. I made this one using cakewalk music creator as my sequencer and kompakt to load my samples and soundfonts. the beginning is kinda funky but it smooths out into a nice dance/jazzy tune soon after. I composed the piano stuff on my keyboard, but had to enter it with the mouse due to lack of weighted keys. sorry i dont have a place for you to download it from. evan,

Included as attachments are (1) my remix of Dragon Roost Island titled Dragon Roost Remix (i know, the originality of the title is amazing) and (2), the original song from the game. One day I was sitting here on my computer, listening to Dragon Roost Island, and thought "it'd be cool to do a remix of this.." so I got Fruity Loops and well, made it. The tools used were Fruity Loops and my mouse (damn i'm 733t), and well, that's that. Any feedback would be appreciated as well, hope you enjoy it. Anis Hammoudeh

Hi As I don't already have a remixer-profile, I guess I should start out by saying a little about myself. I was born in Norway on the 6th of may in 1985. I've been into making music for a few years, and figured I'd make an attempt to contribute to the site with some of my own work. I've always had a big interest in music, and I think I always will have. Especially video-game music. So to sum it up a bit... Remixer name: Dragonlord Age: 19 Location: Norway Gender: Male Main interests: Music, videogames, computers, and mostly anything related to electronic devices that can do neat stuff. Recently I got myself a GBA, and I purchased the game MegaMan Zero 2 along with it, and while playing it, one of the songs was sorta just screaming "Reeeemix meeeeeee!" to me. I scurried over to the computer, and started working on it. I think there's around 7-8 hours of work put into this song, and personally I'm rather satisfied with how it turned out. The song itself is a mixture of a synth-organ, distorted synths and a healthy dose of drums to go with it, the whole thing mixed together with a little sense of rhythm, sprinkled with a few details here and there. Best served at high volume. Enjoy. Original song name: Ice Brain (Can be downloaded from http://www.zophar.net/gsf/mmzero2_gsf.rar and played back with this: http://www.caitsith2.com/gsf/player/HA_0.10.exe ) Remix name: Cool Mind

I guess this a nostalgic song, since it's my first ever remix that I've done. Originally it sucked a lot, but with some help from Malcos I've been able to improve it. So, hopefully it'll be OC ReMix standard and get uploaded ?

Hi, Name: DJ Liquid Neon Remix Of: Ultemecia & Liberali Fatali Title: FF8 - Ultimate Fatali Id like to submit this one to you, Its is a kind of 80s rock style track with a lot of original work. Original vocals from the actual song (Wecos Lusec Vitos Vinsec lyrics) and i think a nicley balanced tune. Hope you all like it P.S I have been releasing mixes for a long time now but i stopped submitting for a VERY long time. Would it be possible to batch submit my whole collection, most have been released in your forums but never on the site. My mixes date back as far as FF9 Losing Me Is Not An Option right up to my very very latest one (released today) FF6 - 63 and Rising There are a total of 63 mixes including a few that have been on your actual site (not forums) you can access the lot here: i would love for them to be hosted on your site as well, and i know this is probably not wat you would normally like but i am hoping you will make an exception. Thanks Liquid Neon

As far as I know, none of the other band members are on the forums. And yes, I'm Emperor Nakoo Hiryuu, and I'm FINALLY submitting something.] * Name of game(s) ReMixed - Final Fantasy 6 * Name of individual song(s) ReMixed - Decisive Battle * Your own comments about the mix, for example the inspiration behind it, how it was made, etc. - In Powerglove's neverending quest to find badass video game songs that could be pushed over the edge in awesomeness by process of metalization [Wow, what a long clause...with a new word in it to boot], we decided that Final Fantasy music was quite easy to work with, and rather difficult to make it sound crappy. That, and all of us have always quite enjoyed this song. Lends itself to metal quite well, we think. Perhaps I went a bit overboard on the parentheses, but meh.

Remixer Name: Remix Factory E-Mail Address: info@remix-factory.co.uk Website: www.remix-factory.co.uk Forum User ID: MarkRF (sorry, couldn't locate ID number) Game: Sonic 3 Source: Chrome Gadget Remix Title: "Progression" Comments: We're back! Listeners should take the title of this mix literally as the track progresses from one section to the next (sans traditional chorus structure) hence the lengthy intro / finale sections. I'm aware that the fat synth bass in the final half of the mix is inspired by Herb Albert's legendary "Rotation", however, since I'm simply the guy delivering the mix I can't really comment on the inspiration of its stylings/genre etc. Hope you like the mix!! Peace out! ~ Mark

Underground Theme I've been a fan of the site and the talent on it for quite some time now, but always found the prospect of submitting my own work a little daunting (since I haven't remixed VG music since my midi days). But, I decided to take a break from my comic to do a short but sweet oldschool tribute and give back to the community that's entertained me so much. I truly hope someone out there digs on this slice of underground Disco House groove. Sincerely, -Xero Reynolds Konsekai: Swordwaltzer http://www.xerjester.com

Email sub file the honey factory.mp3 The Honey Factory -by thinking cloud Original Tune from Donkey Kong Country 2 level: Hornet Hole I tried to stay very true to the original song, because the tune is so classic. I gave it an industrial/factory feel, wich is what a bee hive is basically, a honey factory. Towards the end, i switch to a slower, more floaty style to emphasize the main riff, and add drama. hope you like it!

This is a dreamish, upbeat, groove mix (something ) of the "Morning Sunlight" theme from Chrono Trigger. About the remix, I was trying to make something dreamy and soft to listen to, and have tried to have a lot of stuff going on in the mix, and I feel satisfied with the outcome. The original song was short, and that made this a fun challenge to remix, aswell made me comeup with some original tunes for the song. I hope you guys will enjoy the song, as much as I do. Best regards xaNax xanax@rls.se www.xanax-music.tk

**THIS USER HAS HAD PROBLEMS SUBMITTING THIS THROUGH HER YAHOO ACCOUNT. IF YOU SEE MULTIPLE EMAILS EMERGE FROM THERE, PLEASE IGNORE THEM AND PAY YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS ONE. THANK YOU.** --- ReMixer name: Rexy Real name: Bev Wooff Email: bev-wooff@lycos.com (this is a backup for the time being) OCRemix user ID: 7528 REMIX INFO: Remix title: "Robotnik's Immortal Presence" Game covered: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Individual song covered: Robotnik Battle Song link: --- Greetings, all. Got another mix for you. By the time this was mailed, my previous submission "Tomorrow's Wake" still wasn't judged, and I still haven't got any web space of my own, so you're still getting VGMix links for now. This interpretation of the Sonic 2 boss theme was originally written in memory of Deem Bristow, the voice actor for Dr. Eggman in the recent Sonic titles whom sadly passed away in the middle of January (15th if you want an exact date). Now I know that some of you may find that kind of concept to be a bit silly, but I have been attached to the Sonic franchise since my earliest days of gaming. Even though I may have only heard Deem's voice through Sonic Heroes, I knew from the start that he was the man for the assigned role. Nonetheless, the feedback I received prior to this submission was surprising, so I felt that I could give it a shot at OCR to see if it'll work there too. Don't be surprised if it isn't as edgy as the original, because it wasn't meant to be to begin with. The basic theme that I gestured with the song throughout was the gesture of "Deem may be gone, but the legacy of Eggman will live on". Heck, I found it interesting that adhesive boy said that it reminded him of FF6's "Terra" (quoting from VGF47), so that could be saying something. Anyhow, thanks in advance for the feedback granted back on this. Whether you write YES or NO, it's been a pleasure working on the development of this mix. Peace out, -Rexy- --

email sub file Brand New Retro - The Return of Black Mesa.mp3 Hi, first off I would like to apologise for having to attach the file, sorry about that Contact Info Your ReMixer name - Brand New Retro Your real name - Liam Fairclough Your email address - brandnewretro@hotmail.co.uk Your website - www.soundclick.com/brandnewretro ReMix Info Name of game(s) ReMixed - Half-Life 2 (The main theme) Comments - This is the first remix I've attempted to submit to OCR and finding this site inspired me to do one. This is a remix of the main theme of Half-Life 2 (which was also used briefly for the Valve intro on the original Half-Life) and I've used one reasonably short sample from it and evolved the track from there. The track reaches a climax at 2:37 and I really hope it doesn't get too repetitive before then I've used many effects and plug-ins but I hope these don't overpower the track as a whole. Anyway take your time and give it a listen if you can, thanks BRANDNEWRETRO

After playing around I thought I should do a ReMix and after listening to alot of zircons work and of course Triforce Majeure, it all just fell into place really. I'm really pleased with this, and what SampleTank can offer (despite people's opinions). Nothing much else to say so lets hit it.
