  1. First the link: My name is Robby Huang, aka Phatcorns. This is a remix of the song Robo Gang Johnny from the game Chrono Trigger. The saxophone, trumpet and drums are all real instruments performed by real people. The organ, bass and guitar were performed by myself on my keyboard. The recording was done one part at a time and the credits are as follows; iFUSiON - Saxophone, The Juica - Drums, JHockett - Trumpet. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy it! Phatcorns
  2. Hi. Makke here with a new C64 remix, namely: Arkanoid (SID No More) Hope you'll enjoy it. A few people thought I destroyed both Epic by Faith No More and Arkanoid in one go, which indeed must be unique. But most people liked it, so I hope you will too. Cheers, Makke
  3. Got part one of the 2 part medley done. Pretty sure I got the artist right. Enjoy. -Ari
  4. Email sub file Lyco - Nova Eclipse.mp3 - djp Hello all at ocremix.org First of all, allow me to apologize for sending my mp3 as an attachment. I have fully read your submission guild lines and understand that your judges would prefer an Internet link where my Remix could be found at, but I decided to make some subtle changes to this Remix, meaning that any link would lead you to an outdated (and in my opinion, worse) version of the Remix. When it all comes down to it, I'd rather put my best foot forward. but ANYWAY, I'm Lyco <-----my ReMixer name I'm fairly new to remixing, having only started in mid June of this year. The song I'm submitting is my 7th song, here are the specs: Song Title: Nova Eclipse Game: Legend of Mana Bitrate: 128 Length: 4'03 Genre: Dance/Techno Composer: Yoko Shimomura Orig. Song Title: The Darkness Nova Since I noticed you didn't have section for Legend of Mana, here is the game info: Legend of Mana Made by: Squaresoft Year released: 2000 Platform: Playstation All music done by: Yoko Shimomura I hope you enjoy my Remix, and even if you don't put it on the site I'd love some constructive criticism from pros like you guys! Keep on mixing! ----Lyco
  5. Email sub file mario 64 bravoski marioski.mp3 - djp this is the first time Im subbmitting a remix. Its the ending theme to mario 64 as no one had done that one yet. I have tried to do a bit of mixing but there is no mastering on it because I dont really know anything about music production. I just learnt keyboards. I done the work with cubase. Also if there is a few notes wrong its because I didnt have the music to refer to as a guidline, I just had to remember it from a year or so ago, but then hey its a remix anyway. but I did manage to get a sample from the game for the end I hope you like it lol I even tried to throw in the melody from the first world music in the along the first verse, not dure if it worked though? I called it bravoski marioski coz I thought well bravo mario for saving the world after all it is the completion ending theme lol all the other info you need should be in the mp3 file thanks from Mike Cliffe (that can be my name on here coz I cant think of a DJ type name for myself)
  6. This mix is a medley of "Force Stall" and "Natalie" from front mission. Both of these songs were written by Noriko Matsueda and not Yoko Shimomura. "Force Stall" [the song at the beginning and end of this mix] is the reason I started to really get into Matsueda and I have now listened to basically everything she's ever done..... so I'd just like to ask that if the remix happens to make it onto the site it should only say Noriko Matsueda in the original composer section [normally no matter who wrote the actual song being remixed all composers involved in the game are usually listed]. that takes you to a link to the song [on the right is a cool screenshot from the game]

  8. Sup dudes. I wanted to make amends for my first submission in which I kissed a lot of ass but entirely overlooked the asses of Vig and Liontamer (well when I had submitted it Liontamer wasn't a judge). After listening to Vigilante's Pat Methenyish music I almost changed my beliefs that the piano is sexier than guitar, and thus began this song with some basic guitar work. But soon after I realized I suck at pretending to be Vigilante, so I threw in some piano and then slowly as everything evolved the whole song started to be not-like-anything-Vigilante-would-ever-make. In conclusion, Liontamer is da bomb. Shariq is too cool for school. And last, but certainly not least, THE WINGLESS FOR PRESIDENT. 9. Hi! This is a remix of the "Stage 1" theme from "Batman - Return of the Joker". I tried to give this track a real "Batman" feel, so I used bits and pieces of the original movie theme by Danny Elfman. Remixer: Emperor Song name: "Gotham Symphony" Game: "Batman - Return of the Joker" Original (track #4): http://www.zophar.net/nsf/batmanrj.zip Remix: I hope you'll enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed working on it. -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
  10. I wasn't sure if the other e-mail got through, I never recieved a conformation mail, or you all had just blocked hotmail, so I got a e-mail account here and used it Remixer name: Robatto Man-Faye (I think he's cute.) Remix name: Dancing Crystals Game - Final Fantasy Tune remixed - Prelude Not the most original of selections, but I'm very fond of it, as FF1NES got me into the whole gaming scene. -- _______________________________________________ Graffiti.net free e-mail @ www.graffiti.net Check out our value-added Premium features, such as a 1 GB mailbox for just US$9.95 per year! 11. title: Terranigma Reviving Zue OC ReMix artist: Ziwtra year: 2004 game: Terranigma original: Zue --- The original is in 6/4 or 7/4 or some weird time signature and it took a lot of manhandling of the material to get it into the 4/4 breakbeat form it's in now. Other than that... this isn't a personal favorite, but I really do like that flute at the beginning. And the weird guitar sound. I guess I am not so happy with this mix because I used so many gimmicks that I have used in the past... other than the musical challenge of changing time signatures and adapting the song, I felt I didn't break any new ground or improve in any way. Oh well. Another submission is on its way... I apologize for not abiding by the "3 weeks in between" rule, but I am going to college in a few days. yh
  12. That's a very extensive number of themes. My concern with anyone saying that there's not enough arrangement, given that very long laundry list, is whether a comparison was done with each one of those themes. That seems like it would take a lot of time, granted, but by the same token, without having done that, I would think it would be difficult to conclusively say that the arrangement is near "verbatim"... However, Dan B. (given Cabrera's absence these days, perhaps we should just start calling HIM 'Dan C.', eh?) seems pretty confident in this analysis. If the decision is close, I'm more than willing to do a one-for-one comparison against the PSF and chime in myself, I just have one hell of a midterm coming up on Thurs. that I have to actually (for the first time in several years of undergrad) STUDY for. One note - we often hear submissions that use gigasamples but do not take full advantage of dynamics and are not programmed believably/expressively. Obviously, this IS an issue and SHOULD be taken into consideration. However, it is no more, or less, of an issue than if the samples sucked. Dynamics and articulations can be incorporated with almost any set of multisamples, my point being that while this is definitely an issue, it shouldn't be considered a BIGGER issue just because better samples were used.

  14. Sorry for disturbing again, but I somehow messed up the URL. My host does not allow direct linking anymore, so I have to trick it out. The following URL leads you to a simple site with an hyperlink to the MP3 file. Just right click and choose save as, it should work. Contact Info Your ReMixer name: nocius Your real name: Mario Dederichs Your email address: nocius@web.de Your website: http://www.nocius.de ReMix Info Name of game(s) ReMixed: Final Fantasy 7 Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Cid's Theme Your own comments about the mix: Cid's Anthem is an powerful orchestral remix of Cid's Theme. I know, that Final Fantasy pieces are remixed quite often, but I've been encouraged by some friends to choose that theme. Besides, this track was always one of my favourite pieces, so I wanted to devote that song some of my time. I just hope, that this remix is good enough to be released on your page. If not, then I'm probably not good enough yet .
  15. ReMixer Name: Kaktuar Name of game ReMixed: Battle of Olympus I scrapped my Pelopenessus remix after it didnt even make it to the panel and I realised there was allready one based on the song on the site. Here is my second submission, this one is significantly more arranged and higher quality then my previous effort. *note: the filename will come up as AssetFile.mp3. No way around this and im sure you are able to rename the file 'when' it makes it into your music library.
  16. Hey there I submitted a bubble bobble remix, the name being Procyon- Bubbles Fairy Soft OC ReMix but the URL i gave wasn't working correctly, so i've had to reupload it (i've also cut down the bitrate in the process) the new URL is all the ID3v2 stuff should still be fine though. Sorry if this has inconvenienced you, but yeah.. it wasn't working before hand. I also took a moment to change one of the beats, as the previous beats were rather bland, i've altered them to some extent. I noticed a few other remixes of the same tune on the site, so I've endeavoured to keep them different sounding, with the piano at the beginning, and the fact i have instead plotted all the notes myself and put in new chords, instead of taking a sample. Hope it reaches the standard you set for your site, thank you, and once again sorry for the confusion/trouble Sean Craddock. aka.
