  1. Malcos -

Can we get the original? I guess what we have to ask ourselves is whether this is the type of thing we want to accept on a regular basis (i.e. no special treatment just because it's coming from a judge, etc.)

I'd like to clear this up sooner rather than later as I'm trying to clear the forum out before I post the next flood, which you've probably been wondering about since it's been awhile.

  2. Did someone remove the link on a yes vote before I could get to it myself . . . again? Argh, ye mates! I need linkage something fierce!

Seriously though, I can take care of removing the link myself on all yes votes, and the last few times I've had to track down the link because it was posted directly here and not sent to me via email. I told CotMM that was how I'd do it, but either way's cool, so long as I get the link. Anyone? Bueller?

  3. I've tried using Reason (1.0), but it's just not working for me. Here's a

little something I've been working on this last week using Fruity Loops

    3.55. I love this program!

(if the link doesn't work, right click, save target as, or try back later)

<<If Trance/Rave is your thing, then you should LOOOVE this mix. It's far

better than anything I've remixed so far. For Trance, it may be a bit

unconventional, but it works. This will probably be the third BoF

submission (first for this particular theme) to be posted on OCR. After

this, maybe more people will take interest in this game :) Although there

are some other games have need much more coverage (i.e. Tales of Phatasia,

hint, hint). Expect more great remixes to come!

Take care, DJ P! I hope the you can improve the process before too long.

Don't overwork yourself though. Take care! :)

  4. Hi, to whom ever is reading this (djpretzel, or another staff member?)

I was recently introduced to this site, remix.overclocked.org, and have

become interested in adding one of my remixs to your archives! As this is my

first time, I'm kind of vague as to what to say, so I'll just get straight

to the info about my song.

Title: Chrono Trigger - Lavos Battle (dnBoss remix)

    Artist: ABG

    Year: 2002

    My website is www.mp3.com/djabg

    My email is aredguitar@hotmail.com

My real name (if you need it) is Shawn Overn

I think thats all the info the Submission Guidlines say you need, so... ^_^

You can download the mp3 from my mp3.com site (http://www.mp3.com/djabg) I posted the track in your WIP forums for comments and I've gotten nothing

but positive feedback, so I hope there won't be any problems adding it to

    your archives!

    Thank you!

  5. Hi. My name is Domini,c I'm easily distracted so its incredible I

actually finished a song for your site. Hopefully it will make it on to

your site... i read the guidelines page a million times but i wouldn't be

surprised if i missed something. Ive been coming to you site for a long

time and i love it cuz i think game music is great and there is so much to

choose from. one time when i was at your site i noticed in your review of

some remix that the person used fruity loops and so i went and downloaded it

and i started making songs that really suck but i thought it was the coolest

program ever and so 8 months later now i think i have something worth trying

to submit. Actually i have two other remixes- one for megamanx2 and super

mario kart.. last time i checked there were no megaman x2 remixes(i hope i

can be the first) and i would have submitted my song already but i still

need to rework it because i am completely unsatisfied with it. anyways i

can play the piano a little bit and the saxophone, im a little better at it

then the piano but not much. im no musician and i didnt play the piano in

this, its a soundfont... :( oh well i think its still sounds halfway

decent, i hope you think so too. i won't usually write this much its just

since its my first time submitting. AAA!!!! i have to say right now

starfox is the most exellent game ever.. well its my favorite anyways. i

like starfox64 and i play ive played it a million times to try and get a

high score (2164 who's the man!!???!?!- yes i know im a loser- please dont

dis me) but i like the snes version better. my favorite artist at OC Remix

is AmIEvil- his music totally rocks and sounds so good. plus he actually

uses real instruments so that makes his work twenty million times cooler. i

so wish he would do a starfox song from the snes... oh well this is it for

me.. sorry it as so long but not too sorry or i would have shortened it, heh

heh heh!!! so here is the link it better work... i only made the web page

its on so i could submit songs.. hopefully this song wont send you into a

fit of uncool crying because it sucks. enough of me now here is the page

and the mp3 is the only link on the page It says to leave but dont let that

scare you please. i don't know if you need to know but my login name at oc

remix is fox_nabox. i also made foxnabox but i either deleted the

comfirmation email or i never got it.. either way i cant loggin on that name

and i have to have a stupid underscore in my name now which makes it look

very unorigional. thats the link to the song.

  6. Hey i have this song i made for Duke Nukem 3D its good to me but tell me what

your think. i had run into a problem tho... it just says playing but doesn't

say anything else. if u have any answers tell me. u can find the ReMix at my site is for main page my DJ name will be Sgt. Rodriguez so tell me what you think and be in touch I'll be in touch

  7. Pretzel-san!

Here's another remix from me, done in the Tarob style.

Its title is "Tarob-Covered Kangaroo Jam", and it's a mix of a recurring theme from Super Bomberman 1, 3, 5, and Panic Bomber.

    Its URL is

Its remixer (me!) is Cuddly Battleship Kattywampus.

    And my email is feanyx@yahoo.com

Let it be known that I hate yahoo mail. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I hope ya like it. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

  8. Heh, my other submission, DKC - Apocalypse Oil, was only a teaser I made a while back to get people thinking about my name again. Here's a submission worthy of the follow up!

Title: Donkey Kong Country 3 - My Red Hot Pursuit

    Credited To: Wintermute

    Email: wintermute@cvinternet.net

Original Track: Donkey Kong Country 3 - Hot Pursuit

Comments: Includes lyrics! Well, I'm definitely not the best singer ever, but I believe that the lyrics somehow complement this piece...at least, I hope that others think so. :) I have a thing for the Donkey Kong Country music. Most notably that I love almost all of it. You probably noticed. :)

    Lyrics:

nothing can stop, nothing can stop, nothing can stop me now

nothing can stop my red hot pursuit of you

Thanks much for considering this remix!

    ~Dan

  9. Hi i would like to be a member of Overlocked Remix, and my first remix to

you is a remix of the bomberman theme i´m sure you will like it.

The song is almost just the loop from bomberman but with different

instruments it sounds different and it never feels like it´s getting

    nagging.

So my artist name is "Tab Newflax" and my real name is Tobias Nylin. Im soon coming up with a page with my own songs, so it can be added later i

    guess.

You know this is my first remix so dont be to hard plz.

well here´s the link to the song

    cya!

  10. That is the URL to the remix. It is a remix of the Gym Leader Battle song in the

Pokemon games. I know remixing pokemon sounds gay.. well I gave it a shot.

This remix may not be too good because its my first submission but, I have been

a long time viewer/listener of the overclocked remix website ever since ver 1.0.

I just never knew what tools/equipment I needed to remix game music for a long

time. My artist name is Konami Wave. But I would ask if you can rename the file

name to Pokemon_Raving_Gym_Leader_OC_Remix.mp3 beacuse I forgot to set

the ID3 tags to the files name. Well if its not up to code with the OC Remix guidelines let me know so I make a better mix. If i can get some more odd remixes like this one I feel it can do OC Remix good since there are not many remixes of gameboy tunes. Thanks for reading this DJ Pretzel! Hope you enjoy my submission.

  11. Hi.

To start off, when it comes to music I prefer to go by Aerowing. (I also go by Flamewave and Palomar.)

Anyhow, this ReMix is the Chicago theme from Perfect Dark. I decided to put it in an alien light, so to speak. In the end I think it sounds like the Ceten level sound effects and blah blah blah. All that good stuff.

Making this song I used Finale 2002, n-Track Studio, and a Yamaha SXG Soft Synth. My PC is a 133, so it took me eight hours - the Soft Synth lags unless I take my time.

My own website is ; due to the fact that I'm out of space, I have it hosted by a friend of mine, Fox E:, who also does ReMixes and is considering submitting to OCR. (It's his urging that I'm submitting this.)

is the exact URL to the song. Even if it isn't hosted on OCR, I hope you enjoy it.

Any questions, feel free to email me at Flamewave357@aol.com

    Thank you.

  12. VGMix renames the file, so you'll have to fix that, but everything else is in proper order (ID2 tags and such).

A quick aside... if it's not too late by the time you read this, I'd like to withdraw the submission of my first mix (Blizzard Rock from Mega Man 6). The guitar tracks badly need to be rerecorded. I didn't know that the effects box I was using had this wonderful thing called "cabinet simulation" that makes the guitar sound a lot better.

Anyway, I suppose I'll just cut and paste the description I used at VG Mix here. Hope you enjoy the mix.

No, this is not a symphony arrangement. This mix actually got started a few months ago (before I started mixing). I thought it would be cool if someone did a LW mix and named it "Legendary Strings" (which implies symphony strings usually, but it fits nicely for guitars too). Since I started mixing a week or so back, this was basically just waiting to happen since I'm attracted to mixing from games that no one else has touched.

The track follows the original music fairly closely, but it's a medley of three songs (Level's 1, 3 and 4) and I played around with (more like completely twisted) things like tempo and feel. The style is rock and roll with distorted guitars and in-your-face drums (naturally). I think people who downloaded my first mix (from Mega Man 6) will be more pleased with the recording quality of the guitar this time.

Assuming that you don't have the info from my previous submission, the mix should be credited to "Rize" whose website is http://www.planetgamecube.com and whose email is Rize@PlanetGameCube.com Thanks!

  13. heya, here's a remix from chrono trigger, to far away

    times.

i made it at the beginning of the year, all with

fruity loops, and then i fixed it up a bit using

reason. i called it 'to far away phunk' but it's not

really that funky - it's pretty mellow actually, but

my partner and i like to call ourselves 'phunk, ink.' feedback's welcome, good or bad. i may or may not submit another remix i made - from megaman 3 - dr. wily stage. enjoy =)

    -jason
