  1. I changed the order of my Robot Masters. Sorry, I forgot how awesome Ground Man was
  2. Well, well, well. I haven't made music in 4 years, but I've been itching to lately. I'll probably regret this, but what the heck. Here we go: 1. Ground Man 2. Metal Man 2. Fake Man Any idea when this is going to start?
  3. This album is absolutely fantastic. Jazz is, by far, my favorite musical genre and Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite VGM OSTs. You guys really did this justice - the arrangements are compelling and the performances are amazing. The album really does feel like one cohesive set that was performed and recorded live and not pieced together from performers all over the world. So much so that I kept expecting to hear clapping at the end of the opening track, haha. I'll be listening to this for a long time. Bravo!
  4. On second thought, I will have to pass. I LOVE the idea but I realized I just won't have enough free time September & October to participate to the fullest extent. Plus I'm not familiar with the GB MM games and was hoping for the NES classic series. Regardless, I'll definitely check out the mixes and vote. Good luck everyone!
  5. So so so tempting. I need to try out my new computer. I don't know any Shovel Knight. But Mega Man Put me down as a tentative
  6. Well done! I'm loving the style! I've never played Colors, but enjoy the soundtrack a lot.
  7. Top notch track! I remember when Jake turned this in for the final SZRC compilation and was thrilled with it.
  8. Nailed it. The performances and arrangement are both amazing. It definitely feels like this would fit right in on an 'official arrangement' album.
  9. Very classy! I'm always a sucker for jazz. I love the uncommon time signatures and the source interpretations on the piano.
  10. It's always a pleasure to work with these fine gentlemen! This track has been a looooong time coming and I'm glad we were able to finish it and get it out here for ya. And major thanks to the OCR staff for posting it! Happy New Year everyone! EDIT: I just realized it wasn't pointed out in the write-up, but I hope you guys notice that in addition to having José on the track, Paul also sampled a line ("clique called Chaotix") from 'Unknown from M.C.' throughout this mix
  11. Congrats on the mixpost Gar! I'm not familiar with this game or source tune at all, but wow this is a beautiful piece of music. Everything just fits together so well, the guitar, flute, pads, etc. to create a very soothing and relaxing atmosphere. I love it!
  12. Well done Pete! I'm loving the balance between the intense and complicated drums versus the soaring, somewhat simple, melody. It creates a nice atmosphere. Nice instrumentation choices as well!
  13. I'm loving this one, so many good tunes and interesting EDM styles represented here! I think I personally like it more when albums specifically go for a consistent theme and feel throughout; it really helps create a sense of unity between all the tracks. It's what I tried to do with 'Temporal Duality' to a certain extent. Nothing wrong with compilation albums, I just prefer a nice cohesive feel. I think this executed that idea flawlessly. I like all the tracks, but I've really been jamming to DDRKirby's, RobKTA's, and DJ RoboRob's tracks so far. Well done everyone!
  14. I actually think my other track is a lot better but both you guys picked this one, hah. If this thing actually happens (I have my doubts, as I feel like we always propose making a compilation 'best of' album after every compo but they never get off the ground because people have other things to do), then I'd be happy to take a stab at cleaning up whichever track(s) people want to include. Eventually I plan on cleaning up my other track (Release the Kraken), but I just haven't gotten around to it yet, perhaps next month. If I were to clean up 'Electric Moves' then yeah I'd definitely make a proper ending (I hate fade outs; just ran out of time with this one) and do a few other things. Thanks!
  15. I wouldn't have time to coordinate an album compilation, but it's a cool idea! I'd be interested in including my "Release the Kraken" track. I wanted to polish it up for OCR submission anyway.
  16. Nothing wrong with funky EDM all the time #noshame And yeah I thought there was quite a bit of variety in this compo; from all the vocal tracks, Jason's choirs, Maverick Astley, some of the more experimental tracks people like timaeus22222222222 and Usa came up with. Good stuff!
  17. SuperiorX Splash Supafly (Splash Warfly in Sigma Stage 2 [X3]) Hilf Dir (Tunnel Rhino in Sigma Stage 2 [X3]) Laulu (Frost Walrus in Sigma Stage 2 [X3]) Sigma's Enigma
  18. I'll probably work on my second (and final) song, Release the Kraken, a bit for submission. I was pretty happy with how it turned out and know some things I definitely want to fix up with it. Particularly the piano parts.
  19. Did the round 9 music not go up yet or did I miss it? I didn't see it in the first post.
  20. I was curious if there was going to be a mega bonus 10th round or not. I often find those to be the most fun. But yep, I'd agree people are tuckered out and participation has been dwindling, so it's probably for the best. Thanks for hosting Darke, it's been fun!
  21. Oh yeah, this track is juicy and hella funky. I love the interplay between each of the sources! I particularly like the bass writing and piano accents, well done!
  22. SuperiorX Gate's Secret Dream Lab (Shield Sheldon in Gate's Laboratory [X6]) You Know The Game (Gravity Beetle in Gate's Laboratory [X6]) Tortured by Dreams (Flame Stag in Gate's Laboratory [X6]) Sigma's Enigma
  23. There's always this week. You guys need to respond to that fire the Rock Hard Mandrils were spittin'. You gonna let them talk about you like that?
