  1. Too many to list, but many of the mixes from Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger might be what you're looking for. Also, look up Destiny's music.
  2. Man, I wish I had this in high school. I lived in a suburban dairy town in Southern California with the closest place to play being 20 miles away. Now I'm in West LA with plenty of rodas. I'll keep an eye on the site! Thanks a lot. By the way, Mazedude, you don't happen to know a guy named Henry Iglesias, do you?
  3. The Neverhood is pretty cool just to look at. Everything's made of clay!
  4. I like it so far. Like you said, you could work on the piano/guitar transition. Otherwise, turn down the reverb on the guitar a bit because it's somewhat distracting. Keep it up!
  5. Ah! Trickwaters did a Final Fantasy Wedding Processional over on vgmix a while back. It's an orchestrated monster medley (at about 10 minutes) of songs throughout the series. I can email it to you if you need.
  6. They premiered the movie here in Westwood yesterday and they had a 20 foot Bumblebee as a display. It was pretty awesome having all that hubbub down here. I'd upload pics, but all I had was my disposable. People could get in if they bought some kind of overpriced pass for the film festival going on here though.
  7. I could have sworn the beginning was "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, but besides the need to update the instruments, the cymbals throughout the song got really old. Maybe try switching up the tempo or incorporating other ethnic percussion as mentioned earlier.
  8. I'm down for it. Which part of LA?
  9. I'm freaking shocked that no one has mentioned Acoustic Fireworks. http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00907/ /thread for real
  10. Since I really want to see this posted, I'll point out my qualms: 0:00 - I thought that first bit was some kind of Windows error sound at first, but looking at it, it adds to the live feel. Not really necessary though. 1:27 - Probably nitpicking, but that last note on the arpeggio to top it off seems delayed by a split second. May be just me. 2:34 to 3:10 - The lower notes are noticibly scratchy. Easy fix, right? 4:03 to 4:05 - Scratchiness again 5:00 to 6:00 - You seem to go on a major tangent with some tempo variation to the main theme, but it comes off as disharmonic in some parts rather than artistic. Otherwise I loved it. Strays enough from the original to be new, but doesn't go too far. Good work.
  11. utterly amazing, haunting, somber, and mournful, especially when the main theme kicks in at 2:40. i could care less about any out-of-tuneness some are complaining about; i really think it adds to the gritty-streetcorner-under-a-streetlight chorus feel. definitely recommended.
  12. I like the different take on Corel, you've really got something going here. If you can up the quality on the bass, and pick up on the end, you're set (I hope).
  13. 2:40-3:23, just kinda dead, and personally i thought it didn't really fit in with the rest of the song. also, the melody starting the first 30 seconds of the song for me seemed overused throughout the song. but hey, if you can up the quality on the synths, i really dig your arrangement.
  14. Anything by klutz or dhsu is what your looking for. Possibly even this one: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01164/
