That's just the Genesis version of TMNT4: Turtles in Time, which is also mostly overlooked.

FF6 projects have actually been started several times, but they have stalled every time. I have 417 Chrono Trigger remixes in my collection, from various remix albums, doujins, and even just singles released around the web. As zircon said, Chrono Trigger has so many remixes that it's almost pointless to do a project.
