  1. The forums do not support direct attachment uploading. However, you can use the image BB tags to link directly to an image's URL, as long as it is hosted elsewhere.
  2. Unfortunately, Team Zero Treble didn't have a submission this week; this was probably one of the most stressful weeks I've had all semester.
  3. Oh, hey Darke, you never updated the first post with this round's theme. Thought you wanted to know.
  4. I really like the feel of this arrangement. While I'm still not entirely sold on the mixing, it definitely grew on me.
  5. I had chills beginning at 0:12, and when 1:58 hit, it's like the temperature dropped twenty degrees. The arrangement is glorious and oozes of unbridled energy.
  6. I remember hearing this in the workshop forums. This really has evolved well since I first heard it, and it's become a fun little ditty that I love listening to. Congrats on making it to OCR!
  7. this makes me mildly angry. stahp Although, there are a few exceptions to the rule darkesword pointed out regarding sharps and flats: some keys (e.g. g harmonic minor; G A Bb C D Eb F# G) will use sharps and flats in practice, but not in the key signature (g harmonic minor will still have the same key signature as g natural minor and Bb Major).
  8. Ugh, why does this have to fall around the 5th week of the second semester?
  9. and the Z as well, it looks like.
  10. It's bedtime and I've got an 8AM class tomorrow, so I'm going to make this quick (so I won't give an in-depth source breakdown—I apologize in advance). From the Maverick theme, I took the opening arpeggio and used it as the opening arpeggio for this round's mix, tweaking it to fit the meter and chords (but still having semblance to the original). The lead was used more as a decorative touch rather than a melodic focus point, with the exception of the closing phrase. I adhered more to the chord structure of the Sigma theme than my Maverick theme (although that doesn't say much), adding in concert snare and timpani as a nod to the source (as well as the mangled violin at the end of the opening phrase). Aaand I deeply regret the vocal bit, but what can you do?
  11. Submitted. Wholly unimpressed with my track, mostly because I got an idea at the last minute and didn't have the whole week to flesh it out. Also explains why it's so short, but I digress.
  12. Well, this would be a bad time to ragequit this project. I guess the big question is whether or not I can get this finished by the deadline.
  13. ..and this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you save soon, and save often. Which is what I didn't do.

  15. God bless this soundtrack, and god bless RoeTaKa for making this fabulous remix of it. Just <3 OCR needs more Shovel Knight.
  16. Ah, fuck. Completely forgot to check the sample rate when exporting. Sorry DarkeSword! Fair enough. I was hit with a solid wall of writer's block (or whatever the arranger's equivalent is) for most of the week. What was turned in was completely BS'd Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. I really wish I had devoted more time to this track, but life got in the way a lot a bit.
  17. Submitted, in all its hideously unmixed glory. I wish I had had the time to actually polish (or even really 'finish') this one. Why no, I did not submit my remix using Duff McWhalen's 'real' name. That'd be silly, just like his name!
  18. I've had almost no time to work on mine, so I'm rather disappointed with what I've got, which I'll submit shortly. I vow to do better for my team next block.
