There isn't any chance of lawsuit for a few reasons. The site runs off of donations, not paying customers. Notice the site is ".org" and not ".com?" The site claims to be "unofficial" and unaffiliated with any of the actually games or companies. All original composers are given credit, and none of the remixes are copyrighted. I'm pretty sure if there was any illegal activity, namely copyright infringment, going on, OCR would've already been made aware.

I'm not new but I wanted to say hi

I took classes at Western but didn't live on campus. Some of my friends stay in Walker and I'm up there every once in a while. I moved from Wilmington to Fontana in 2004 so I may have bought some games from you at one point or another! NC represent sippin' on dat purple drank. Or something.

People used to freak out about how OCR was going to shut down because David couldn't afford to keep the site up. But that was a LOOOONG time ago. I've been around these parts for a while lol

I've submitted three remixes, all of them receiving a NO vote. I was trying to do something different (as usual) with that mix and it never really came to fruition. I submitted two songs from Chrono Cross and one from TMNT2 but they weren't top quality, although I thought my last submission had a lot of potential that I just couldn't muster. Glad you like the remix. Theory is very important because you want to make sure all your notes and rhythms fit together properly. You can't just throw down any old notes and chords and expect it to sound good. If you've the ear for it, you could feel something out. One of the most important things you'll need is patience, which I never had. Take your time. As far as we all know, OCR isn't going anywhere.

This thread is really for any remixers who would like to take a crack at remixes that I never really got around to finishing or resubmitting. I only have links to WMA format, as I don't have webspace to host, but I can send MP3 if you happen to catch me on AIM. Or, if you know of anywhere I could host, PM or IM me.

No, I just didn't really blow a load over the MGS games like most people who played them. They were decent games, I just don't think Snake is a good choice. But I felt the same way about Capt. Falcon and the Ice Climbers too.

I'll admit it. I loved both Golden Suns. The characters would be good fighters. But there are some other characters that would work out better I guess. I'm a little annoyed that Snake is a character, honestly.

I've had several encounters involving OCR clothing. I talked to some ugly girl at Western Carolina I saw wearing a shirt. She loved the music and had actually downloaded my Chrono Cross remix off VGMix. She thought it was "eh" or something along those lines lol that was around this past October. Last spring break there was a girl in a wet t-shirt contest in Myrtle Beach wearing one, but this dude kept yelling "that's my shirt oh my god that's my shirt!" like it suddenly worth $100000000000000000 or something. And there is a guy in the Asheville GameStop that always comments on my shirt when I wear it in. I think I remember someone wearing one once when I visited UNC, but I could be mistaken. I get more kudos for my Homestar hoody.

Been super. The whole unmod getting deleted thing was kind of sad, but I was glad to see it go. No mods = no sense. I've given up OCR for myspace. It's SO much cooler. [/sarcasm]
