  1. If you don't like the visual bling, can always move over to foobar2000.
  2. I agree on both sides, something like soundcloud embedding for works in progress, and an OCR player for the songs on the site. YouTube should still be used for showing to a larger audience.
  3. Mak was making a joke off the judging on this site for if your song (whistling) would pass the OCR review board and be included on the site. A midi that may be more approximate to the source, unless the source was also whistling would probably help people remember it a bit better. For some reason it reminds me of western-esque things like cowboy bebop and wild arms, but all whistling also reminds me of Protoman.
  4. My personal opinion would be you should just upgrade them both to ultimate and downgrade your other. It may take some time and a bit of effort, but it fixes your problem from then on. I guess until windows 8 if you bother to upgrade to that in a year. The upgrade from reading shouldn't affect your files, but you should still be careful and have backups.
  5. Can always go winamp lite if you don't want the visual bling, while still getting an updated music/media player.
  6. Never heard of the station previously. Just did a little bit of google searching about anime, the year and the public access part of it. I noticed on the animenewsservice link there is a link to I think a web site that is for what it used to be. Might want to check the really old and bad site to see if it might be there.
  7. Could it have been from Anime TV? http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2001-01-03/anime-tv-net-broadcast http://www.animenewsservice.com/archives/March18.htm
  8. http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/USB_Based_FAQ Knoppix like you mentioned earlier. You seem to be on a new computer, can't hook the hard drive from that one to this and transfer files? Other boot disks normally used are Hiren's or Ultimate Boot Disk
  9. You didn't mention the system OS, nor the browser you were using. You should run a check disk and try to boot into safe mode. To reach safe mode press F8 when your computer is booting up. If you still have your windows disk you may be able to use it to boot from and/or fix your OS. As you figured, when your computer freezes, you have to hard reset, which may be harmful, however there really is no way around it.
  10. Being I don't know your version of iMovie, I assume you would know what he means and how to do what is said. http://getsatisfaction.com/apple/topics/how_can_i_combine_audio_and_video_in_imovie
  11. Maybe I am misunderstanding. First you said you are trying to edit a video together. You couldn't do it because you couldn't figure how to add an audio track to a video track. I assumed this was easy since you could just rip the audio or create it, and shove it in your iTunes library and then import from there. You then mentioned needing to work with audio and video from two movies, thus I mentioned that other thing where you could intermingle the movies, and I assume you can also fully delete one of the videos from it and mute the audio, making Video track 1 and Audio Track 2 be the only ones playing. Now you say you just want to rip audio out of a movie. So which is it?

  13. What version of iMovie are you working with? http://www.mackb.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/mac-apps/14811/Audio-Video-from-different-sources I read from here about placing 2 videos and partially editing one out.
  14. I think I can explain the music videos. http://www.apple.com/support/ilife/tutorials/imovie/im3-3.html Step 3 mentions it can take music direct from your iTunes library or GarageBand to make a soundtrack with your video.
  15. SwordBreaker: Maybe later there will be a second project which will focus on the missed music/stages of this one, making the games that didn't get covered as much get covered and the ones that did only get tracks done for the missed robot masters/stages. One can dream.
  16. Using the diddy kong idea and sticking with Pokemon, can always make him Red/Ash from the original, celebrates both nintendo and the missingno tracks release. if not, can make him Ness from earthbound. A onesie with some painted newspaper stripes to make plumber overalls for mario.
  17. Booklets are also being as you said purely digital, so now they are PDFs, which can contain more information, better images, updates for any damage of original, and even some links that may lead to web pages and the like for extra info or storyline/bonuses. I like both, however I am more partial to the digital. Being I can have an image of 5000x5000 pixels in a pdf to display on a massive resolution, or a booklet with a 3 inch by 3 inch image of the same thing.
  18. It is comprised of music from the entire Megaman X series of games This makes it sound like you actually took music from the game rather than ReMixed/Arranged it. May want to reword it. Comprising of music arrangements from the Megaman X series of games. After the amount of years, might as well mention it also spans a multitude of gaming systems. This ambitious project, from director Bahamut, features over 60 tracks across 5 discs with remixes from nearly every game in the series. Ambitious is a good description, however that should fall into the bigger credits area as with the director. Rather than the first bit of info on the front when people see the page. This project features 64 tracks by 43 ReMixers spanning 5 discs totaling 3 hours of ReMixes from nearly every game in the series, including bonus tracks. Just random thoughts.
  19. Maverick Rising is the XX album published by OverClocked ReMix. It is comprised of music from the entire Megaman X series of games, a series which spans over 17 years. Entire: Should be removed because the music doesn't cover the offshoots that still fall under the X series, like Xtreme, Xtreme 2, Command Mission. 17 years: Looks to be the series last game was in 2006, so closer to 13 years. http://www.themmnetwork.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mega_Man_X_(Series) This ambitious project, from director Bahamut, features over 60 tracks across 5 discs with remixes from nearly every game in the series. from director Bahamut: Should be left out since it will be noted in the notes, on the webpage as director, etc. If it must be kept, then the information should be added to the amount of ReMixers on the project, or the amount of time the music adds up to, 5 hours of music or such. It would also be helpful to be more exact, instead of Over 60 tracks, 61, 62 63. Instead of "nearly every game in the series" a quick listing of the games. Since this will be on the homepage, it seems easy to add a list with hyperlinks. Even a numbering of how many tracks per game, As described at the first post in this thread.
  20. Dafydd: I see what you mean. The Japanese Rockman versions also sometimes use the 1-10 numbering system and not roman numerals. My critique about the numbering scheme used on the site is wrong, since even the games vary themselves.
  21. I kind of understand what Guardian_Force is saying. Basically some websites like megaupload, rapidshare, mediafire, etc. "Pay" in either account points, or sometimes real cash for every download that comes through them, they do this because of ads and the such they show to whomever is downloading. Adding the torrent contents, albums, or flac versions of the basic mp3 songs released to these file hosters. The torrent problem isn't necessarily a problem if I remember correctly that utorrent (also owned by bit torrent) made uTP and even open sourced it to libutp. http://torrentfreak.com/utorrent-2-0-to-elimininate-the-need-for-isp-throttling-091031/ http://torrentfreak.com/bittorrent-open-sources-improved-bittorrent-protocol-100524/ This to help the ISPs with their largest problem of network congestion, dealing with countries who don't allow torrents, you most likely would need a proxy anyways to reach the sites you visit. I think the best use would be a backup of the Flac albums for easy download like the mp3 when released. Users choice and all that. All the mp3's released as flac would be nice but I put a very low chance that will ever happen, considering age and likelihood of lost/damaged files.
  22. Since there will be a massive re-tagging or has been. The albums that got released previously, will they also get new tags/torrents? Upgraded bitrates? Wavs converted to FLAC, FLAC compressed to level 8? Albums with damaged or wrong tracks get the proper ones inserted (Missingno, the ANSWER)? Will game names on the site be changed previous to the whole release? Mega man and a few others show Roman Numerals on the boxes yet are called by 1, 2, etc. Will the sites for each track be updated to give proper timing? And will it be attributed to the remixers current or previous aliases (if they have changed? It may also be helpful to try and add/edit all the artists/music to musicbrainz P.S. Sorry, I ramble a lot.
  23. As an addendum to dealing with backed up files, it may also be wise to use a backup service like Dropbox You are allowed 2 gigs for free users, there are ways to increase that to about 15 gigs of space and then can buy a plan for up to 100 gigs more. It is backed up on an Amazon S3 server, and records changes you make to data so even if something goes wrong or you edit and save wrong, you can roll the files back to a previous version. Not as much space as your hard drive, but it could keep the most important stuff you have safer.
