  1. This is my first major foray into the music-making field, a 9 track music album that I've been working on for the past year or so. This is my first time opening my music up to external listeners, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. ^^ https://soundcloud.com/michael-uebele/sets/dancing-in-the-rain
  2. This song is the background music on one of the new stages in Super Smash Flash 2.
  3. Usual DJP here with the extended intro. (50 seconds) I dig the piano that comes in at about 0:15, and the percussion is very well done throughout the whole piece. Lots of attention to velocities. Overall, I'd say good, but not great. Something you enjoy listening to in the background but not something you'd stop what you're doing to specifically pay attention to. 4/5
  4. I went back and forth on this one awhile. On one hand, I'm a big fan of the Lost Woods theme, and this is the only pure of mix of it on the site (not that I mind mixing Lost Woods and Windmill Hut; I think they work great together), but on the other, the sound is kind of screeching and distracts from the music itself. In the end, I decided to pass on this, but had the lead instrument been a different sample, I probably would have kept it, since the arrangement itself isn't all that bad.
  5. Except for the violin (which was excellent), the mix was rather average for me, although the small techno parts were nice. I'm not a huge fan of the Indian-type genre though, so that's no surprise.
  6. This is very good. The arrangement of all the tracks is superb. From beginning to end, everything is interesting and non-repetitive. Even for me, someone who doesn't like this genre, this song still landed a high place in my playlist.
  7. Hahaha, I love this song so much. Is absolutely hilarious. The lyrics and the way they're song are absolutely perfect. I am so happy this made its way onto this site.
  8. I don't mind the conservative approach since the OST and production is so good. I really like the quieter, melodic section at 0:49. Brings out some nice emotion. Drums are good throughout. Is nice mix.
  9. Uh-oh, OA has drained the Review Esper's powers. I shall have to steal the magicite. 10. Well, I'm a sucker for synths, WillRock, and IceCap, so it's no surprise I like this. I love the trance elements that come in throughout. Especially digging the section at 1:05-1:30.
  11. Mmhm, kicks right off with a great intro. I especially love the high notes at 0:50 and 1:50. Starting at 2:22, there's a great build-up that doesn't disappoint. Great mix. Definitely makes my playlist.
  12. I love this, beginning to end. In my mind, it's kind of a similar track to DarkeSword's Party in the Snowland mix. (Not in that I get Christmas vibes, but in that I can sit here and enjoy listening to the background music) I especially love the instrumentation choices. Really floats my boat. (Might even go so far as to say flies my airship)
  13. First time I heard this, I thought it was a pretty good mix. Then I listened to it again and wondered what I was hearing the first time. The violin plain rocks, and the combination of chiptune, rain/thunder, and upbeat tempo works wonders = Chiptune with depth and emotion?...Spectacular.
  14. Bahamut Lagoon was probably the most emotional for me.
  15. Singing Robot is Incredible as advertised. Great OST, Great Remix. Especially love the ending.
  16. Lately I find myself humming the trumpet section of Donkey Kong Rescued from DKC2 (the song that David Wise himself remixed) and then switching over to Corridor of Time from Chrono Trigger
  17. Heh, my playlist thanks this thread. Twins Seeds Flyby, my personal favourite, has already been mentioned, but here's 3 others that are among my favourite new songs (incidentally all from albums): http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02143/ ~ Climb My Mountain, This High - Another great Tal Tal Heights mix, this time from Benjamin Briggs. (from Threshold of a Dream) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02269/ ~ Shifting Islands - Simply put: Groovy rendition of Marble Zone (from The Sound of Speed) http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02276/ ~ Solitude - More mellow, but quite beautiful. This song has a lot of depth. (from Harmony of a Hunter)
  18. Nice mix. Not much to complain about, not much that jumps out as fantastic, although I really dig the intro. 3.5/5
  19. Destined For Greatness - Geoffrey Taucer, prophetik
