  1. No. Well, atleast we know now that you're still alive.
  2. I thought of a really original idea... "Kirby in concert" But seriously, maybe you can steal ideas from how other projects have been named?
  3. I beat you I said that one on page 12 or something. I still think it's a good one. Considering how significant the stars are in the Kirby games, "Celestial" seems to fit perfectly. It rolls off the tongue, too. No, really. Say it. So, there's my idea... again. -chth Now whilst the words celestial and evolution individually have meaning that directly relates to kirby, together their meaning would be something like "The gradual process in which the sky/Heaven changes into a different and usually more complex or better form". Which makes no sense at all... In other words, it sounds cool, but really has no meaning :S
  4. hot. Hell, even something plain like "Kirby: evolution" sounds cool ^^
  5. I don't think "the adventurers" really works. I mean, it's not about "adventurers" - it's about one adventurer, and how they grow from 'Water drop' to 'Super star' across their jorney. That said, I think the title could maybe have something to do with the passage of time. "Chronicles" seems to be a popular word these days, why not work that in there? Either that, or title it: "One Tough Cream Puff". Both work well, I think. Hell, you could mix the two ideas together - "Cream Puff Chronicles" ... Yeah, that's my suggestion. ~Hadyn
  6. Even though i'm not really involved with the project, I second that.
  7. I never knew you could tweak EQ and all so much after a piece has been compressed to mp3... Nice job, it sounds better Oh yeah, and those synths have really grown on me now. Great work suz, and nice fix dar
  8. That's some damn tasty guitar and piano work. The synths are a little less brilliant, but overall this is an awesome piece. Great work
  9. haha, I know. ^^ For the most part, i was just rambling crap and exaggerating things to lead up to the 'Now, if only you'd put me on the project... '. A bad joke, really. I'm being strange today. sorry. I have faith in DS, and most of the mixers, and I know this'll turn out fine in the end ~Hadyn
  10. They'll worry about that after the mixes are finished - looks like a few people haven't finished yet... even with an extended deadline. Darkesword needs to be nastier. He should jump up and down on the remixers backs, whipping them with flaming batons until they get their remixes done. Actually, that's a lie. If anything he could be a little more supportive - it feels like team morale is down, and like remixing has become a chore for the mixers involved. A project leader should be constantly checking around, making sure everyone in the team is feeling good about what they're doing and encouraging them to continue, rather than just posting one or two blunt critiques every few weeks. Then again, it may not be DS's fault at all - I'm guessing there's a fair bit of behind the scenes work going on for him. So then what's gone wrong? A lazy bunch of remixers? They've had 2-3 months to actually work on their mixes, and some of them haven't shown us anything yet... I'm not sure how much stuff is going on away from this forum, but this isn't looking good. Now, if only you'd put me on the project... Jusssst messing Well, good luck everyone with finishing up! ~Hadyn
  11. I'll tell you exactly what I'm doing. I'm writing a business report recommending a fictitious healthcare organization to migrate their network infrastructure from Microsoft Windows to a UNIX platform, because a recent hacker attack from a Brazilian hacker organization as brought to light the significant security holes in the network. Look, I have a huge paper due tomorrow. I'm not going to post here if I have nothing significant to say. Final Arrangements for all mixers whose name is not DarkeSword are due on the 19th of December, 2004 AD, and people have known that since two weeks ago. I think he meant 'what song are you mixing (if any at all)?' Could be wrong though. Ohwell, good luck with the paper!
  12. Awesome, though it's sadly a little short, and it doesn't feel like it reaches it's climax before it fades away ^^; Still, you have awesome control over your drums and instruments - very well done
  13. It's not really important or anything, but the title of this topic has been out of date for almost a month now. Other than that, I just want to say that all the mixes i've heard so far are pretty awesome. Darangen - Absolutely rocking. I can't find much wrong about your mix - I love it ^^ Analoq - Another awesome piece, though I'd say that about any of your stuff. Sounds good. Makes me feel inspired to try mixing in that style ^^; Rellik - it's different, but it's damn catchy. Looking forward to seeing more on this Kirbymixer - Like DS said, there's a little too much high register stuff and almost no bass at all. Not only does that make it sound a little unbalanced, but it's like all the instruments are competing with eachother because they're in the same range, rather than complementing eachother as they should. Otherwise - excellent work Ellywu - You already know what I think: it's perfect, but you must get rid of that horrible raspy instrument at 2:14-2:16 - it sounds so out of place, and just ruins the feel. Other than that, it's great so far Adhesive boy - Just wanna hear more of it before I say anything. Then I have an mp3 called "generalizedVegetal", which is also awesome, though I've no idea who did it. Ohwell, can't wait to hear more of all of these ~Hadyn
  14. Maybe I could do better if you actually knew what you wanted? Besides, you of all people should know that if you're going to give criticism, it should atleast be constructive. Here's an idea! Don't steal from other peoples work - or, if you do, atleast make something good.
  15. ahh, a new background guitar. Sounds a little muffled, but I love the overall sound - so that makes it all okay
  16. Yeah... I just listened again, realised that it would probably sound better without anything like that ^^ hmmmm.... Would it sound any good with some delay over the lead?
  17. It's much better than the piano, thought I agree it sounds a little empty in parts... I'm not sure what you could do to fix that, though. If you could be bothered, you could always add orchestral backing, but i'm not sure how well that would work, so yeah... It works as is, though, and i still love it even despite emptiness in parts ^^
  18. Please do ^^ it's the only thing that strongly affects this mix in a negative way.
  19. Darangen - Damn, the first 30 seconds of your WIP had me sitting on the edge of my seat, dying to see what came next... then... then this really bad piano sample comes in... I almost cried! Everything else about your mix rocks so much, but that piano just feels so midi-ish, and very out of place... Could you not has that part played by a guitar lead, perhaps? or maybe even have subtle electronic instruments or something ^^; I dunno, just in my opinion it ruins the mix a bit Either way, the guitar work, drums, and bass are legendary - keep up the awesome work. ~Hadyn
  20. If you need a hand, I did an xhtml/css course last semester (came out with a high distinction) so I might be able to help in some way. Other than that, I also know some flash if you want like, animated banners or anything - though too much animation can sometimes be a bad thing... that said, I'm also pretty good at static web graphics and all too. yeah, I know, I've put up offers for just about every kind of job now, eh? Well, just saying... I'm there if you need the extra hand at all ~Hadyn
  21. To save DS the trouble, and seeing as I really have nothing else to do ~ The remixers have already been auditioned, and chosen, and there are already back-up remixers ready incase some of the current mixers need to drop out. DarkeSword is only choosing the absolute best remixers for this project, and so unless you have some really good skill, and a few .mp3's handy to prove it, there's pretty much no chance you'll get in - and even if you did, you'd just be backup. If you want to contribute art to the project, then the guideline seems to be "submit whatever you like, and if they like it, they'll use it". There aren't really any other guidelines - I'm not even sure if the compilation has a name yet, so making album covers is a little tricky at this point. But hey, if you have an idea, it can't hurt to show it around As far as a web page goes, I'm not sure what's happening there. I'd assume they'd be making it in Dream Weaver and Flash at any rate, and so the ability to code "basic" html is probably not much help - but, I could be wrong. Either way, I'm still not even sure if this project is going to have a website yet... DS, care to clear that one up? I think the best way most people can help right now would probably be just supporting the mixers, giving them feedback and critiques, and yeah, just generally encouraging them. Cya 'round, oh, and welcome to OCR ~Hadyn
  22. Thanks. It's just one idea, really - if you want me to try anything else, like, if you have an idea in mind or anything, just let me know and I should be able to give it a shot - I'm on a short break from uni for the next week, so yeah. I need something to keep me busy ^^ I'm also free to do any graphics design for a possible web-page if there's going to be one, so yeah. Just letting you know the offer's there Can't wait to hear these WIP's. ~Hadyn
  23. an idea I had for a possible cover design... or something? Enjoy ~Hadyn
  24. Awww, and there I was thinking I'd done something useful by pointing that out... ohwell
