  1. Fairly important note You missed a rank. If you beat the game on extra mode (which is unlocked after beating the normal mode 100%), you get the title: 'Super Star'. You also unlock the BGM and sound test with it. EDIT: Okay, so you left it out on purpose...
  2. None taken ^^ However ~ if what you're saying is based upon the stuff I've sent for submission to OCR in the past, then most of that is about a year old now... And I can't blame you for not liking it, even I can see how bad most of it is when I look back on it now. Of course, I've gotten better since then (as evidenced by what I linked early on) - but hey, I agree that I'm still not perfect, and yeah, there's most likely plenty of other mixers that are much better than me available to work on the project, so I understand if I don't meet the standards and all Either way, I'm looking forward to what comes out of the project, and evewn if I'm not part of it I can still carry on with my own Kirby mix seperately anyways - it's all good After all, I'm more of an artist than a musician... which reminds me... Do we just send in our ideas for cover designs whenever, and you just use whatever you like the best at the end, or are there more specifics than that? What kind of info needs to be on the covers? ~Hadyn haha, I like it, though in honesty, It was hard to recognise (until I actually read what it was a remix of and started looking to draw ties between the mix and the resource material). Of course, this could just be me, and the quality is awesome either way
  3. that's really a question for the n00b fourms... but a rar is a type of compression for files (like a ZIP), and requires a special program to uncompress them - much like ZIPS need winzip, RARs need winRAR. a good place to look for it would be on downloads.com
  4. In that case, I put dibs on "new junk city" http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/New_Junk_City.mid
  5. hey, that could be cool EDIT: I just got a soundclick account. Here's my mix so far... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/3/hadynmusic.htm Oh, and yeah, your WIP so far? That's got to be the best two minute intro. EVER. Sounds very nice, and I love the way it builds into the theme - sounds great ^^ I think what I have so far is a little more... flowy... less powerful and more light-hearted than yours I guess - yours might end up sounding better off if you don't collab with me and just do it all by yourself, 'cause from what I've seen so far, you've got some damn nice skills there - but hey, we'll see ^^ ~Hadyn
  6. haha, nice point.... microsoft agrees with you - the system clock doesn't have that date programmed in, and neither do my calendars...
  7. The entire album (or the 10 tracks I've downloaded so far, anyways) freaking rocks - the quality is exceptional The only one moment I didn't enjoy is the mixing between the last two tracks - I expected it to kind of flow straight from one to the the other - instead we got a fade in/out with beats that didn't even match eachother ^^; regardless, all the artists have done a great job - I love the album ^^ ~Hadyn
  8. oh yeah, also wanted to point out that kirbys adventure is my favourite game of all time - I still have it sitting right next to me incase I get the urge to play it ^^ (thus I'm looking very forward to seeing how this turns out) Hey... I doubt this matters, but I'm actually working on my own remix - I believe it's the same theme that Ellywu2 chose, so like, if he can't do it or anything, I can always show you what I've got (don't freak out too much DS, I've gotten better since by old submissions). I'd show you it now, but a) There's probably not much point considering Ellywu2 will most likely do perfectly well, and I have no webspace, and I can't submit another WIP at VGmix for a while. Ahwell, just remember that I can help out later if needed ^^
  9. Someone's probably already beaten me to this, but if you need coverart if you turn this into a cd, I can do that. Here are some examples of my work: basic logo design for a HL2 mod team I'm part of - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/hadynlander/meteorlogo4.jpg a joke pic I did taking the piss out of the FF:CC's name - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/hadynlander/FF_CCs_4.jpg part of a webcomic I do (once every few months...) - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/6649222/ (click the thumbnail to see the whole thing) That last one's probably the type of art you'd want for something kirby-related. I have a lot more art around if you wanna see any more at all? Ahwell, PM me if you're interested ^^ ~Hadyn
  10. I'm wondering if he sampled from the original music here or not - the strings and some of the vox sound a lot like the originals, but with small changes... either way, this is a damn good mix - the only thing that bugs me is the lead at the intro, but hey, that gets better later in the song anyhoo. Overall, excellent work.
  11. Hate trance, hate fruityloops defaults, yet somehow you've made a mix that I don't really mind that much at all. good stuff.
  12. Wow. Something different, and very well done at that
  13. I make a point to post as much good feedback as I possibly can on all work I see at OCR, but for this, there's only relly one word that comes to mind. Cool. I love it, it's just my kind of thing, and I'm sure others will love it too. ~Hadyn
  14. That's got to be one of the most terrible and un-helpful comments i've ever seen. Atleast people who didn't like it gave good reasons, rather than something like "I like it. yay. people who don't ilike it suck" - and by being critical, we're in turn helping the mixer develop their work, so it's really a positive thing ^^ Think about it. ~Hadyn Disclaimer: Echo2K4 is an exception to what i've said. His/her post was worse than yours ^^;
  15. I don't really mind this a whole lot ^^; Ack! alright, now i hate it... just heard a fade out ending... Alright, so it's not that bad I have to disagree with djp though, i think the guitar sounds too fake and synthy - if it's actually real, i'd be really amazed. There's just something far too clean and perfect about it, you know it can't be real. That, and almost every note is picked, has the exact same little tremolo on it, and always hits exactly on the beats - and there's no fret noise... Anyhoo, composition is good regardless, and yeah, there's some nice solid work here
  16. I've loved this since the WIP boards, and that still stands Just a really nice overall sound, not much else to say ^^
  17. In honesty? I really can't say i like it... it's too... blah. It's quiet, it's boring, the synths are... well, not really my thing. It needs more kick in it, and just... i really don't know, i just find it really boring. The again, seeing that something of this quality got on the site, that might be a good sign for when i decide to submit again... I'm sorry, it's just my honest opinion. Some music doesn't appeal to me, this is one of those pieces ^^;
  18. I haven't downloaded it again since the last WIP version, but what can i say, this is a damn good remix Very well done ^^ ~Hadyn
  19. It's good, but i don't really keep interest that much. Still, nice guitar skills ~raven
  20. I spent four hours on the end boss (in his 3 stages) of skies of Arcadia, and about an hour for each sub-boss in the game. why? because i like that little "run" choice just a little too much
  21. Oh my giddy aunt, this song rocks!!!! It starts off so brilliantly and nicely, and then comes some great heavier orchestral stuff in the middle. So many different sounds too, it truely rocks, sounds like a big production piece! Heh, i actually own this game (one of the first i ever owned), i've had it for atleast 10 years and i still don't know how to pick up that damned cool looking white sword near the waterfall!!! lol. Well, it's a great mix, and i for one can't wait to hear more, keep it up!
  22. OMG, this is f*cking amazing!!! the guitar is awesome too! All i wanna know is how did you record the guitar soooo cleanly? what equipment did you use?
  23. Up the top of the WASP thingy is a few knobs: two say 'crs', two say 'fine'. The first thing you should EVER do in wasp is change these to be right in the middle, as this generally puts the sounds in wasp in the same pitch as the rest of the song, thus you can have a half decent electric guitar^_^ Other than that, i wouldn't mind some WASP info myself, like how to save a song so that when you load it again all the WASP settings stay the same, rather than resetting to default
