  1. I hate to say it, but I really disliked this piece, which is unfortunate because the Horteka theme is probably my favorite song from Skies of Arcadia. I know you were going for that distinctive "stomp" style, and while you may have achieved it, the end result just sounds unpleasant to me. Kudos for mixing a SOA song, though. This game had some really terrific music, and is under-represented here at OCR. Hopefully the next remix from Skies will be more appealing to me.
  2. This is my favorite Wingless tune, which is saying a lot because I love all his stuff. From start to finish, this piece just sucks you down into an oozing lake of tranquility. The airy, rippling piano juxtaposes perfectly against the steady backbeat, creating something that is both different and wonderful. I give it a hearty First Class Recommendation.
  3. When I first downloaded this one, I didn't pay attention to the author. About halfway through the song, I thought to myself, "Wow.. this is beautiful. I have to see who made this and listen to his other stuff." Of course, I was a little disappointed when I found out it was a Wingless tune -- I was hoping there was another kick butt remixer out there that I hadn't discovered yet! Anyway, this is a superb mix, and my favorite variation on the site, beating out McVaffe's & DJP's renditions, which is pretty impressive. I give it a first class recommendation.
  4. Although I have never played Silent Hill 2, I have listened to the soundtrack many, many times, and am a big fan of the original version of this song. I was excited when I first downloaded this. Probably my favorite overall remixer on the site doing one of my favorite pieces from a game with great music? It's a can't miss situation. As always, The Wingless didn't disappoint. I'm not sure whether I like it better than the original version, but it's still an excellent remix. Nice and relaxing. Second class recommendation.
  5. Best. Intro. Ever. Damn, I love the way this remix begins. The buildup with the voices and bells is just awesome. Gives me the shivers. The rest of the song is great, too -- hey, it's Wingless after all -- but nothing beats that opening. I give it a second class recommendation.
  6. This song is the best example I can think of to illustrate just what is so special about this website. Pancake Chef takes the upbeat, energetic theme song of the Thames boat in Xenogears (one of my 3 fave songs from the game), and then changes it into something so totally different that I actually didn't recognize what it was the first few times I heard it. Then, when it all finally came together and I suddenly thought, "Oh wow.. this is from that boat with the Men of the Sea... this is awesome!", it was a great moment. Although a tad on the short side, this little tune remains one of my favorites. I give it a first class recommendation.
  7. This is it. This is the one. My absolute favorite remix on this website. Suikoden had some great music, and "Forgotten Days" was my favorite piece from the game. For a long time, the original version occupied a constant spot in my mp3 rotation and I was quite content. However, that was before SuperGreenX came along, took the original and infused it with 200 degrees of a$$kicking awesomeness! I love literally everything about this remix. The samples; the pacing; everything. It starts off slow with some neat ambient sounds (which were a stroke of genius, by the way) and then just slowly builds and builds, adding more and more new layers onto the backbone melody until it finally reaches an energetic climax. Everyone has a favorite song on this site, and this one is mine. I give it a FIRST CLASS RECOMMENDATION.
  8. A nice remix that definitely lives up to its title. It really does sound like a philharmonic rendition. I personally don't like it enough to put it on a CD, but it is certainly worth a listen. I give it a third class recommendation.
  9. This remix just makes me want to sit back and float away. It just seems to flow together really, really well. My favorite parts are at 2:00 and 3:45 - 4:20. Great job. It gets a second class recommendation from me.
