YUP We could do that kind of genre swap. YOU NEVER KNOW!!!! One thing you DO know is that the cutoff is less than 30 minutes away, we only need 2 more entries. I'll have the zip with the mp3s up very quickly as soon as midnight hits. Possibly the most strict cutoff in compo history!

Apart from the games which have all been amazing, the controller is the best gaming controller I've ever used, and the user interface of the system is fantastic. Probably also one of the best if not THE best.

Got it! Excited to listen to evverything as a whole at midnight... We only need 3 more entries. But EVERY matchup has at least 1 entry, so the round 1 is a success. If we would have had any matchups where 2 people didn't enter, nobody would have continued from there... so this is good. But let's hope GrapplingHook, Hollow, and Sixto pull through with their entries. Thanks! Felt like the thing to do, to make everything nice before it was too late.

Nah, you don't have to have lyrics -- that's up to you. You can if you want. My only real concern was if someone did, say, "Forever Rachel" instead of "Locke's Theme". So you should be fine so long as you remix Serah's theme, even if it doesn't have the vocals. But I'd shy away from adding anything that is specifically from a different theme. Edit: You may notice a delay in receiving your sig. It's because I chose to also improve the Light bracket image after finishing the Darkness bracket one. You can find them both in the first post. Sorry for the delay. I've also made the "art cover" thing to release with each pack of mp3s.

I'm updating the original sigs slightly and reuploading them as well as making the new ones. It'll take a little time and you'll need to update the links in your signatures, but it'll be worth it. And of course, the bracket image. It should be ready by 6pm when I post the matchups.

Good advice would be for people to search obscure subforums to find threads that were made with the specific goal of helping them, but for whatever reason, had to be hidden. Not even a fitting subforum, such as "Music Composition and Production". SMH -

That's up to you. The compo is about improving your skills, so I think posting them to the Workshop would be a good move. I don't think it would harm the compo in any way if people could hear some of the entries early. I strongly doubt that any competitors would lift ideas from their opponent's theme if they heard it on the Workshop. This is a fairly ethical community. So tldr I see no problem with it.

It's definitely fine! Thanks for the update. You could even post an mp3 in the Workshop forums if you want. I might post some notes there later, when there wouldn't be any conflict. As for the WAV, I'll grab it when I get home from work in a few hours. Thank you!

The two gentlemen below have submitted their wavs. Don't forget, the Light Bracket remixing ends tomorrow night at midnight, so you've only got about 36 hours left. I think we've got 4 submissions, and need 12 -- it would be a real shame if several people didn't enter and the bracket had huge holes in it. I believe in you guys! Lastly, you are encouraged to post your mixes in the workshop for feedback, and if you are particularly confident, you can submit them to the OCR panel.

Thanks for the entry, I'll grab it as soon as I get home. I realize how intimidating it can be to go up against sixto, but I have faith in you and I wish you the best of luck. Won't be able to check it out until I'm home, but you should definitely post it in the workshop for feedback if you wish. I highly doubt sixto will listen to it early, if he listens to it at all -- he's busy, or to say the least, he doesn't really check the forums often. Anyway, thanks and nice work!
