  1. This is terribly ugly, but I had to make it in paint... It'd be cool if the kid was playing with something more ocr-related too.
  2. What the heck, djp is posting in the wip forum?
  3. Yeah, just post it. Maybe no one will listen to it or give any advice but by posting questions in this thread about whether or not to post your wip in the forum you have already wasted people's time
  4. Why would you want to record new voice overs for FF7? Anyway, I don't suppose you're interested in people who have an accent, if ever so tiny...
  5. I just read this... No kidding. Is there any project on OCR, completed or not, that's been running for LESS than a year?
  6. I'm not really sure what it is you're asking... If you have a song you're working on, and it's based on game music, remix or not, post it in this forum (but not in this thread). If it's a non-game related song, post it in the wip: other forum. It doesn't matter if it doesn't sound good, or if it doesn't comply with submission guidelines (i.e. it's not an OCReMiX and not intended as one).
  7. It's working now! Look! Thanks for nagging on my part, Darke.
  8. No problem (finding the info for you I mean). I wish I could ask someone to give me the script to implement mascot clickability as well, but I guess I'm just going to have to wait... would be an adequate way of repaying the favor though, and it too would make the site better. EDIT: It's working! Yay! And you can double-click next to a thread's name to change the name into an edit box. Once people have learned about and how to use this feature, the wip forum will be a much better place.
  9. Hello. Judging from this list, there seems to be plenty of hosts out there offering unlimited space and bandwidth. Sounds like something for OCR, doesn't it? Anyway, since I live in Europe, I tend to get less than ideal transfer speeds from US-based servers - 50-150kB/s, as compared to the 1MB/s I get from local ones, as well as from microsoft.com. The ones OCR uses to host remixes are good examples (dreamhost, who have a similar limited offer, included), as is my current web hosting, which uses US-based servers although the host itself is Swedish. While I'd prefer to have hosting (i.e. the physical servers) in Europe for this reason, the web hosting here is incredibly backwards, often charging $15 a month for 1GB of space and 50GB of traffic (or, as in my case, $1,50 for 350MB and 20GB of traffic). I know a few guys who make music and would like somewhere to host it and have a webpage besides their myspace one. They're pretty popular and very productive, but not very rich, and I think they'd break both the space and the bandwidth limit of any of the local web hosts pretty quickly. So which one of the US-based ones is faster? Alternatively, is there a really good European one?
  10. - TO BE POSTED (39) No christmas break for Mr. Lloyd, it seems. Heh...
  11. Now you're putting what I said out of context.
  12. Anyone who doesn't have an NSF player should get one. Thanks for putting up a link, for those of us who do.
  13. Then you have posted this in the wrong forum. It should go here: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=19
  14. Why don't you link to the nsf itself? Much faster download that way.
  15. This is for Txai - in case he needs some inspiration, or an idea of how he does NOT want his remix to sound. www.ngst.nu/TeamIndia.mp3
  16. Better use of reverb now. I think the tempo is a little high, and the drums still aren't very tight. I like the overall sound though, it feels very old skool trance-ish (mid 90's). I liked the old intro better. The portamento melody lead clicks a little, see if you can't increase the attack on it by about 10 milliseconds... it's especially annoying when it's lying on a high note, fades away, and then starts playing a lower note - then it starts on the high note and slides down to the low one as it attacks and it doesn't sound very good.
  17. Maybe... I'm not really sure. I guess it depends.
  18. I agree with Rozovian. The production is slick but there's too much of your own stuff in both remixes, and too little of the mixes contain anything that resembles the original songs, also leaving out parts of the originals that could have easily been implemented. And for once I actually have a complaint about your typically impeccable production - In "Tomorrow" the arp blips are too loud, and I would prefer a more sawlike sound over the current square-ish one.
