I can't begin to imagine the horrors of attempting to dual boot Linux and Vista. Anyways, I'm not sure about the ASIO issues being true, but the fact that Vista even has the power to disable your audio card at a whim is enough to keep me from using it. Ever. Not in my life. Even if that means I'm stuck with games older than 2007 for the rest of eternity. It's just not worth it. And I surely can't be the only person that thinks this way. If I am forced to upgrade to another OS somewhere down the road, as sure as fire rains down in hell it will NOT be VISTA. We need to take action and let Microsoft know that they are on a one way path to their own demise. The easiest way to do this, is to not participate in their schemes. If nobody buys it, maybe they'll figure it out. Unfortunately the public is horribly uneducated about the issues surrounding Vista and DRM, and will probably buy it out of ignorance anyways, only to find out later down the road the horrors that await for them. By then it will be too late. Microsoft will have made their money, and the people will be under their control. Someone should start a viral marketing campaign to educate the masses.

Final Fantasy VII (7) DS: Is it possible?
suzumebachi replied to djdexcat's topic in General Discussion
Why are you even discussing this? It's never going to happen. This kind of nonsense belongs on the GameFAQs boards. -
And I had some long ass semi inspirational post about how terrible life is, but I didn't post it because it's a bunch of bullshit. But I did e-mail it to myself, because I am terrible. %^D 22.

Free server transfers to a SPECIFIC server. NOT to Onyxia or wherever.
-
I haven't seen a queue since the day after patch day, and the lag is getting better now with lots of people transfering off. Free transfers are open AGAIN for Illidan, this time to The Underbog (Central time PvP realm). If you guys want to transfer, for fuck's sake, say something before the deadline on tuesday.
-
You guys wait till I have a level 21 pally on Illidan to decide you want to play on ANOTHER server? I even convinced my brother to reroll there. What the hell!?!?! On Illidan: Wolfenleid, 58 Orc Hunter Composure, 21 BE Pally Also, World Server is down as of 9:11pm EST Friday January 19, 2007.

I thought all their servers were in the same location?

He's still trying to voodoo me. HEXED I say. Nah he's still around... on AIM and crud, but I'm not one for randomly handing out other people's AIM addresses. It's against my religion (and also totally uncool). You'll have to track him down.
-
I have one that does that. It's called trinity bars. It not only removes all the art, but it lets you place the bars wherever you want, and bind any key to any button. And some other stuff. And crud.

I played my shiny new FEMALE BLOOD ELF PALADIN up to level 14. Funtimes. I like the BE starting area and ghostlands is pretty slick also. the BE starting area is enoooooooourmous. It was extremely populated, but it wasn't a big deal because all the mobs have about a 2 second respawn time. I also got on my hunter and went to outland just to check it out. I have never seen so many epiced out players in one place at one time (there must have been 300 guys lvl 60-63 in thrallmar at any given time). Also, hellfire peninsula is freaking huge. And I like the eternal battle against the demons right outside the portal, that was a nice touch also. It was all fun and games till the server started lagging and I got disconnected. 3,149 person queue (3 hours) to get back in. Illidan is pretty fucked, and the free transfer period is already over. Hopefully they bring it back or split the server because this is absolutely fucking ludicrous.

should we link the kwak pack?

Man I haven't done a Kwakfest since 2002. Sounds like fun.

I used to play MTG back in high school. In fact I was even a "guru" for a while (Wizards gave me free shit to hand out to people to get them involved in MTG-- most of which I kept for myself or just gave to my MTG nerd friends). But I never crossed the line into pen & paper RPing... something about losing the last bit of dignity I had scared me out of it (especially after watching other ubernerds orgasm over it-- good lord).

Rama's made OCR Winamp skins, OCR wallpapers, and OCR album art (not to mention the Stylish skins and things of that nature) so he's definitely the guy to ask. Even made an OCR X-Box media player skin thing a while back if I recall.

Free server transfers are up for those of us on Illidan. Are any of you gonna transfer? If you are, you have until the 16th to decide. I haven't decided yet... Anyways the destination realm for those on Illidan is Nazjatar, a Pacific PVP realm in the Shadowburn battlegroup.

I love your sigs dude, did you make those?

You're forgetting that this site was originally founded as a subdomain of an emulation site. I don't think there'd be any problems so long as you refrain from linking to illegal rom websites in the threads and crud.

I suppose Tremors fits in with movies like Army of Darkness etc.

OK so... this morning my brother installs Daemon Tools on his computer. But the stupid piece of shit Spybot S&D registry protector denies it access to the registry. So he disables the Spybot registry protector, uninstalls Daemon Tools, installs it again, and then reboots. Well... now the computer won't make it past the loading screen without rebooting again. Safe mode appeared to work fine, so I used that to run System Restore, but that pretty much didn't fix ANYTHING. I ran scandisk, and no apparent errors, though the instant scandisk is finished the computer reboots again. I did manage to get into windows ONCE by skipping scandisk (for some reason scandisk comes up EVERY TIME it boots now) and got the "System has recovered from a serious error" message... four times. But when I rebooted the system again, it went right back to rebooting itself as soon as the windows loading screen ends. Anybody have any idea wtf is going on, or how to fix it SHORT OF FORMATTING? ok afk

That sounds kinda like Natural Selection for Half-Life or Iron Grip for Half-Life 2... Iron Grip is even more interesting because it's like RTS vs. FPS. One team is comprised of a number of players who play as a regular FPS, but the other team is controlled entirely by one person in RTS fashion, buying and commanding troops all across the map in a top-down view.

According to RamRod's map, I have been killed by Mexicans. And I lol'd at Arizona.

This is just a heads up to let y'all know that Ramaniscence and Xerol will be working on bringing you up to date info on all the happenings and crud at MAGFest this year. We've already got a stickam site up ( http://www.stickam.com/profile/thasauce ) where we'll have some live streaming content when available, and also regular news posts on our main site at www.thasauce.net. And if you're actually gonna be there, be sure to check out the ThaSauce panel in the lounge at 1PM on Friday. %^D ok afk

Soundtracks to games you've never played
suzumebachi replied to wintermadness's topic in General Discussion
You've never played Katamari Damacy? For shame, good sir. For shame. As for me, the only OST I actually own is Virtua Fighter 4. I've also never played the game. (the OST was a gift) I have shit tons of emulated soundtracks and crud from games I've never played though. -
50's Educational Filmstrips (what kind of music?)
suzumebachi replied to supremespleen's topic in General Discussion
The music you're looking for is often called champagne music. It's kind of a spin-off of big band, from the late 40's and early 50's. Just look for Lawrence Welk on whatever P2P service you prefer and you're bound to find something you can use. You can also use amazon to preview some tracks and stuff.
